Multiversal Chat Group In Minecraft World

Chapter 10: Chapter 9: Diamonds Last Forever

Li Yunlong stared blankly at the rifle that had suddenly appeared before him. It took him a moment to process what just happened.

"Oh my god! I've met a real deity today!" At this time in history, people didn't have many ways to express their amazement. If it were a modern person, they'd probably just shout, "My cheat code has arrived!"

He carefully examined the rifle in his hands. It was brand new, giving off a faint scent of gun oil. He couldn't put it down, completely fascinated by it.

He re-entered the chat group.

"Heh heh, sorry, I had a bit too much to drink earlier. If I said anything wrong, please forgive me!"

Yang Tao read Li Yunlong's message and could tell that he had confirmed the chat group was real. His words carried a hint of caution. For someone as rough and straightforward as him to speak so politely was definitely unusual.

"No need to be so formal. We all met through this chat group—it's fate. By the way, Captain Li, do you want to know about your future?"

Li Yunlong: "The future? You really are a deity! Deity, please tell me about my future!"

At that moment, Zhang Wenjing jumped in.

"Hahaha! This is hilarious! He actually called you a deity! More like a scammer! Come on, Yang 'Deity,' hurry up and upload the memory file—I wanna see too!"

Yang Tao felt a bit awkward being treated like a deity and laughed at at the same time. Without wasting time, he uploaded the memory file of *Drawing Sword* to the shared group files and quickly explained.

[Group member Yang Tao uploaded memory file *Drawing Sword* – Reward: 100 points]

Yang Tao: "No, don't say that. I'm not a deity." He instantly denied it three times, then added an explanation.

"I'm not some kind of deity. I just watched a TV show about you. I really liked your character—I've watched it so many times. But in reality, I'm just an ordinary miner."

Li Yunlong felt even more confused after reading Yang Tao's message. A TV show? A character? Was it some kind of stage play?

Yang Tao continued, "Captain Li, you can check out *Drawing Sword* in the group files. That's your story!"

Li Yunlong: "Thanks, I'll go take a look."

Zhang Wenjing: "I'll check it out too! I haven't seen it yet!"

The chat went quiet again.

Yang Tao focused back on his mining. The long, narrow tunnel echoed with the rhythmic sounds of his pickaxe striking stone. Torches were stuck into the walls, their flickering flames casting light over the surroundings.

Excitement filled him as he spotted a diamond ore vein in front of him. The scattered light-blue specks in the rock glowed faintly under the torchlight.

"Finally! I found diamonds! That took forever. Now I can make a diamond pickaxe... and an enchanting table too!"

Looking at his nearly full inventory of cobblestone, Yang Tao sighed. His luck was terrible—he had to dig through almost two full bags of stone just to find some diamonds.

Taking out his iron pickaxe, he mined the diamond ore and got five diamonds in total. It was just enough for a diamond pickaxe, with two left over for an enchanting table.

Yang Tao returned home. It should be daytime by now, as he no longer heard the sounds of monsters outside.

Carefully, he dug open the dirt at the entrance. This time, he didn't get shot by an arrow. Sure enough, the sun was already up.

He stepped outside and looked at the rising sun.

Yang Tao decided to explore the surroundings, hoping to find something useful—or maybe even a village.
