Multiversal Selection 2 My Hero Academia Inazuma

Chapter 94: Chapter 93 Almost Over II

"Blood Lightning," Garaki spat out with hate.

"Garaki, do you have any last words?" Inazuma replied in a cold tone.

Garaki froze at those words. He had expected to be arrested. He always believed that naïve heroes would stop when a villain surrendered, giving them a chance to later escape from jail by bribing government officials or breaking out. One of the reasons for his overconfidence in his deeds was the guarantee that, at the end of the day, he would live.

"Wha—what are you even saying? You're supposed to be a hero! You can't kill!" Garaki roared in fear, realizing that Blood Lightning was not bluffing.

Inazuma looked at him in silence. His mask suddenly retracted into his jacket, allowing Garaki to see his face—along with the cold red eyes staring straight at him.

"No, I still have a lot to do. I need to find out the end!" Garaki shouted, then started rambling about the atrocious experiments he still had left to conduct.

Swipe!

Inazuma finished it in a second. He then looked around the lab. In a corner, he found cans of fuel. Using superspeed and a broom, he gathered every experiment in the laboratory into the center of the room and doused them with fuel before setting them ablaze.

He watched as the makeshift pyre for Garaki, and his victims burned, while ensuring that the fire did not spread to the building above—since the hospital was still filled with many innocent people and patients.

Inazuma then turned to the hospital records and other information on Garaki's computer. There was little security that the suit made by Clara couldn't bypass and so he was easily able to hack in by breaking the password. Garaki likely hadn't expected to be discovered, and since he had been trying to escape quickly, he had no time to delete the information on the computers because of which, Inazuma easily found the files in the desktop itself.

This facility had been completely destroyed in the other world, so the heroes had been unable to retrieve additional information about the experiments conducted on Shigaraki's body. Some might argue that keeping Garaki alive would have yielded more results, but Inazuma had already reviewed every future interrogation record on Garaki that Nezu of the other world had given him before coming back. Keeping Garaki alive would have only caused more trouble later, as he was the only one capable of creating another All For One from scratch. And today, Inazuma had decided to erase him for good.

Inazuma looked through the records and seethed at the revelation that the doctor was responsible for hundreds of children losing their quirks. It seemed that All For One had been able to steal quirk factors before they manifested in children. Whenever a three- or four-year-old was brought to the hospital for a fever or checkup, their quirk factors would have already formed within them, awaiting only activation. However, during these checkups, All For One would steal the quirks and assess their potential. If any seemed useful, he added them to his stockpile, while the rest were given to Nomu bodies for Garaki's experiments.

Seeing countless people lose their potential before they even had a chance to manifest it enraged Inazuma and reaffirmed his decision to kill Garaki instead of arresting him.

Further investigation into the communication channels revealed that All For One had been in contact with Overhaul's yakuza group to arrange dealings with them.

Just a few files at the top of the section were enough for Inazuma to deduce that Overhaul had used the leftover body parts of Eri to create quirk-destroying bullets, which he had sent to Garaki to be duplicated, as only a small amount of Eri's DNA remained in his possession.

Fortunately, it appeared that Overhaul had handed over nearly every sample of Eri he had, along with all the bullets. According to Garaki's files, Overhaul himself only had five bullets left, and those only provided temporary quirk suppression, wearing off within a day.

It seemed that saving Eri that day had paid off—Overhaul had been unable to continue his research.

Inazuma then came across a file labeled Chisaki. Clicking it open, he cursed.

'F* Cs**.'**

The image that appeared was more than enough for him to know that things were going to be even more difficult than he had anticipated. But he had made the decision to finish it today, and he was going to see it through.

'No matter what it takes.'

With that thought, Inazuma began destroying the computer after downloading all the relevant information.

At the same time, in another location, five U.A. students were shuffling between two walls, ensuring that no one spotted them.

"This is getting more and more risky, Midoriya. Are you sure you want to keep going? We have no idea what we'll be up against," Iida muttered as he moved alongside them.

Midoriya let out a deep breath.

"I can't give up now, Ida. Last time, we couldn't save Inazuma because we didn't act. That day, he sacrificed himself so that we could live. I'm going to make sure he didn't make that decision in vain," Midoriya replied in a dark undertone.

His words made the other four glance at him in concern.

Unlike the public, who remained unaware, the U.A. students had been at the center of the storm during the I-Island attack. They had seen Inazuma disappear with the bomb right before their eyes. As days passed with no reports or signs of his return, frustration grew among them.

Midoriya, in particular, was shaken. He had formed a bond with Inazuma even before joining U.A. and witnessing his sacrifice while being unable to do anything had left him deeply frustrated with himself.

The others had decided to accompany him, sensing that if he went alone this time, he might lose control. It was the only way to ensure that Midoriya didn't make reckless decisions.
