Multiversal Wanderer: Starting in Naruto

Chapter 116: Chapter 116: The Wooden Man Gets Beaten Down

"Is this... the power of the Two-Tails?" Shisui muttered, cautiously stepping back a few meters.

The two wooden constructs in front of him looked nothing like before. Their bodies were now lined with strange blue-brown patterns, and even their claws had become heavier and sharper. It was clear that Yugito had reinforced them in every possible way with the Two-Tails' chakra.

Yugito glanced back at the gash across her back, exposing a stretch of pale skin. If Su Xiuyu were here, he might've cracked a joke—"What a waste, not using cupping on that." But ninjas didn't concern themselves with modesty. Even someone like Tsunade walked around half-dressed.

"Shisui, today you're my training dummy!" Yugito yelled, lunging forward.

After receiving chakra from the Two-Tails, Yugito's speed was no joke—almost matching Shisui's. Of course, his movements still fell short compared to the Uchiha's signature Body Flicker Technique.

The two clashed in a flurry of taijutsu, trading blows with blinding speed. Shisui relied on his agility and Sharingan to find openings, leaving small but precise cuts on the wooden men with his blade. Yugito, on the other hand, fought head-on, shrugging off light injuries and trusting in her regeneration. She wasn't very skilled, but her raw endurance made her perfect for a Jinchūriki. After all, she had a solid bond with the Two-Tails.

The duel between Shisui and Yugito seemed evenly matched, but Yugito's squad from Kumogakure was a different story—they were getting wiped out.

There's a saying in the ninja world: If you face a Sharingan, run.

But what if you can't?

Caught one-on-one with the Uchiha clan's red-eyed monsters, the Kumogakure shinobi had no way to escape. The Sharingan's enhanced perception and illusion capabilities were too overwhelming.

Right from the start, three Kumo ninjas had already died. Now, every survivor was left fending off more Uchiha attackers, unable to regroup or retreat.

"It's over," Omoi muttered grimly, gritting his teeth as he fended off Uchiha Inahiro's strikes. Inahiro's movements were calculated and unrelenting, giving Omoi zero openings.

"Captain, this can't go on—we're falling apart!" Omoi shouted as he blocked another blow. His arms were starting to shake.

Meanwhile, Shisui and Yugito were still locked in their battle when they heard Omoi's cry. A quick glance told them all they needed to know—half of the Kumo squad was already dead.

"Damn it… Two-Tails, I need your full power! If we don't turn this around now, we're finished!" Yugito's voice was filled with urgency and desperation.

"You've got no choice, huh? Fine. I'll lend you my chakra," the Two-Tails responded calmly.

Sensing a sudden shift in chakra, Shisui's expression turned serious. He instantly pulled back as a massive wave of chakra surged from Yugito's wooden construct. The blue energy boiled like a raging fire.

"Attention all Uchiha! The Jinchūriki is undergoing tailed beast transformation! Everyone below jōnin, retreat immediately!" Shisui ordered.

The Uchiha didn't hesitate—they abandoned their battles and began withdrawing in an orderly fashion.

Only three stayed behind: Uchiha Shisui, Uchiha Inahiro, and Uchiha Tetsuka. The elite of the elite.

Even so, Yugito was in no mood to hold back. She skipped the half-transformation and went straight into full tailed beast mode.

"ROAR!!"

The Two-Tails let out an earth-shaking roar, the resulting shockwave flattening everything within a kilometer radius. Even Omoi had to retreat with the remaining Kumo survivors. Though Yugito's remained somewhat conscious in her transformed state, one casual attack from the tailed beast could wipe out an entire squad.

The battlefield was no longer a place for ordinary shinobi.

"Summoning Jutsu! x3!"

Shisui, Inahiro, and Tetsuka each slammed their hands on the ground, summoning three massive Kaiju.

Their appearance was shocking. These three beasts were even larger than the Two-Tails. The tailed beast twitched instinctively at the sight of them, a rare moment of unease.

"Yugito! What the hell is going on?!" the Two-Tails barked in her mind.

"I don't know either! I've fought the Uchiha before, but I've never heard of them having beasts like this!"

They'd walked straight into a trap.

The Two-Tails lunged, swinging a massive claw at one of the Kaiju. It struck, but the beast only flinched slightly. Its hide was too tough—even with chakra-enhanced strikes, the damage was minimal.

Kaiju may not have the same chakra control or intelligence as traditional ninja summons, but what they lacked in technique, they made up for in pure durability. Their thick skin and massive size made them perfect tanks.

Sure, they'd struggle against top-tier beasts like the Eight-Tails or Nine-Tails. But against the Two-Tails?

This was overkill.

Three Kaiju surrounded the Two-Tails. Shisui's summon was the strongest—a level-5 Kaiju—while the other two were standard level-4s. Still, even that was more than enough.

One of them tackled the Two-Tails head-on, sending the massive beast flying backwards.

"I'm gonna tear you apart!" the Two-Tails growled, more enraged than hurt.

"Don't get cocky! That's still a tailed beast!" Shisui warned his Kaiju.

The Kaiju leader nodded silently and charged in. The two forces collided in a brutal brawl—punches, kicks, acid sprays, and chakra roars echoing through the battlefield. The Two-Tails was getting pushed back.

Its blue flames flared violently as it retaliated, slashing at all three Kaiju. But they kept coming, relentless and unfazed. Their tough, weaponized bodies barely showed signs of wear.

Even when scorched, the Kaiju continued fighting as if nothing had happened.

"This is bad—really bad," Omoi muttered from the distance. "We need to inform Lord Raikage! If I don't help Yugito now, she's done for!"

Despite the odds, Omoi stepped forward.

"Cloud Style: Crescent Moon Slash!"

A glowing, crescent-shaped arc flew through the air, striking one of the Kaiju. A bit of acid blood splashed out—but the beast barely reacted.

"What the hell… That didn't even hurt it?!"

Omoi looked at his arm, where some of the Kaiju's blood had splashed. His skin was already sizzling—burned by the corrosive fluid.

Enraged, he unleashed a large-scale Lightning Release technique, finally drawing the attention of one of the Kaiju. It whipped its massive tail toward him.

BOOM!

Omoi's clone was smashed to pieces on contact.

The real Omoi, hiding a safe distance away, gasped for breath.

"Damn… That was close. If that hit me directly, I'd be a goner for sure…"

--------------------

With Omoi rushing in for support, Uchiha Inahiro and Uchiha Tetsuka quickly overwhelmed the exhausted swordsman, successfully capturing him alive as ordered.

Meanwhile, the Two-Tails was being mercilessly beaten down by the three Kaijū. No matter how violently the beast struggled, its attacks barely tickled the hulking summons. Against opponents this massive and durable, even a solid hit wouldn't cause more than a dull ache.

"Tailed Beast Ball!" the Two-Tails roared, rapidly forming the chakra sphere.

But the Kaiju was faster. It lunged, smashing its fist into the Two-Tails' jaw just as the sphere was forming—detonating the Tailed Beast Ball in its mouth. The resulting explosion shook the ground.

"Yugito, I can't take this anymore," the Two-Tails groaned internally. "These three monsters are impossible. That last explosion injured your body too. If we keep pushing the transformation, you'll die. We have to surrender!"

The Two-Tails knew the battle was lost. It wasn't worried about itself—but if Yugito pushed further, she'd only be consumed by the rampaging chakra.

"…I understand," Yugito whispered, gritting her teeth. She had no choice but to give in.

The transformation dispersed, and Yugito collapsed to her knees, exhausted. "I surrender," she muttered hoarsely.

Shisui immediately gave the order to halt the attack. The Kaijū stepped back, towering over the battered battlefield.

"Four Symbols Seal," Shisui intoned as he stepped forward. Forming a quick series of hand seals, he placed a chakra-restricting seal directly on Yugito's abdomen, cutting off her access to the Two-Tails.

Yugito's eyes widened. Her chakra was suddenly severed. She couldn't even feel the presence of the beast inside her anymore. Panic gripped her.

"What... what did you do to me?!" she demanded, breath catching in her throat. She suddenly felt fragile—ordinary.

"Relax," Shisui replied calmly. "It's just a seal. You've been cut off from the Two-Tails, and you won't be escaping any time soon. It's one of the Uzumaki clan's techniques. Powerful, flexible, and impossible to break without the key."

Yugito's panic shifted to frustration. "If you're after Kumogakure's secrets, you're wasting your time," she said. "I've got my own mental safeguards in place. They're not perfect, but if you try to force your way in, all you'll find is a corpse."

Shisui raised an eyebrow. "Don't flatter yourself. We're not after secrets," he said plainly. "We're Uchiha. There aren't many secrets in this world we don't already know. In fact, we probably know more than you do."

That smug, matter-of-fact tone rubbed Yugito the wrong way. Damn it, I'm already a prisoner. Do I really have to listen to this arrogant bastard gloat?

As Inahiro and Tetsuka hauled the bound Omoi behind them, Shisui carried Yugito in a bridal hold—his left hand inadvertently resting against the bare skin on her back where his sword had slashed her earlier. The intimate contact made Yugito squirm in discomfort, her face coloring despite herself.

But her thoughts soon drifted to the subordinates she had lost. The awkwardness twisted into guilt and bitterness.

By the time they reached the temporary Uchiha base, her emotions were a jumbled mess.

"Chief," Shisui reported as he landed before Uchiha Fugaku. "Mission success. We've captured both Yugito and Omoi. Looks like we've got the upper hand now."

"Excellent work, Shisui." Fugaku gave him a rare nod of approval. Watching the younger generation grow stronger gave him a renewed sense of hope for the clan's future.

"But we didn't manage to eliminate all of Kumogakure's forces," Shisui added. "It won't be long before they hear about Yugito's capture."

"Agreed. We'll need to prepare for retaliation. Raikage won't take this lightly."

Kumogakure – Raikage's Office

Crash!

Another desk shattered under the Raikage's mighty fists.

"What? Yugito and Omoi were captured ALIVE by Konoha?!" he roared. "Are you telling me Sarutobi Hiruzen came out of retirement to do this himself?! What the hell is going on?!"

The shredded desk splinters scattered across the room like shrapnel.

"Lord Raikage, please! You need to stay calm!" Samui pleaded.

"How the hell do you expect me to stay calm?! This is a disaster!" Raikage snapped. "Where's Killer Bee?! Get him here—if we're going to war, I'm not going without my brother! And tell me—who the hell captured Yugito?! She's the Two-Tails Jinchūriki!"

"According to the few who escaped… it was Uchiha Shisui and a squad of Uchiha. All signs point to the Uchiha Clan," Samui reported.

Raikage's expression darkened. "What? Just a handful of Uchiha did this?! What do they think they are—Uchiha Madara reborn?!"

His anger wasn't without reason. The Uchiha had been quiet for years. The newer generation of Kage had almost forgotten their legacy. But older names—like Uchiha Madara or Uchiha Xiuyu —still echoed through the shinobi world like thunder in a storm.

"Apparently," Samui continued, "they summoned massive beasts—larger than the Two-Tails. There were three of them. The Two-Tails couldn't handle them in close combat and was overwhelmed."

Raikage clenched his fists. "We underestimated Konoha… and the Uchiha."

He turned toward his assistant. "Mobilize the village. I'll leave Todai in charge while Bee and I head to the front lines. This could be the start of a war."

"Lord Raikage, please don't act rashly," Todai said, stepping forward. "Kumogakure doesn't fear war—but we're not ready for one either. Don't forget the Land of Earth. Onoki is crafty. He won't move until he sees blood, but once he does, he'll pounce."

Raikage scowled but didn't interrupt.

"Also," Todai added, "Konoha won't kill Yugito. Not unless they want total war. Her life is a bargaining chip—they'll keep her alive. That buys us time."

The Fourth Raikage gritted his teeth, then let out a slow breath.

"…Fine. I'll prepare properly. But once we're ready—we strike."
