"Boom!"
In the open plains, two figures collided mid-air, sending a powerful shockwave rippling outward. Moments later, they both retreated from the clash. Jiang Chen fell from the sky, while Raditz, looking somewhat disheveled, managed to steady himself just before hitting the ground.
"Aspara, do you really think controlling your Ki is that important?" Raditz asked, frustration evident in his voice.
"Why is it that even with three times gravity, I can't catch up to you?" His expression was downcast.
After a year of training, Raditz's earlier arrogance had been completely stripped away.
Initially, he had been shocked to discover that Aspara, a low-class warrior, had a battle power of only five— essentially a disgrace among Saiyans. If not for being Raditz's brother, Aspara would have been the lowest of the low. Yet, to his surprise, Aspara's battle power was now higher than his own.
Raditz had gained confidence after learning Aspara's training methods, believing that with his elite warrior status, he would soon surpass Jiang Chen. But the reality was that he still couldn't catch up.
Over the course of the year, his pride had been steadily diminished.
"It's very important," Jiang Chen replied calmly.
"Raditz, the most crucial thing is maintaining a calm mindset. You're still too impatient." Jiang Chen smiled as he spoke.
Training in Ki control was indeed critical. It was no joke.
Kakarot had been able to soar on Earth, and while much of that success was due to the bump on the head and teachings from Son Gohan, Kame Sennin, Karin Immortal, God Immortal, and King Kai, keeping a calm heart was undoubtedly a key factor. Ki training played an integral role in that success.
"I understand," Raditz pouted but nodded in acknowledgment.
After a year, he had started to respect Jiang Chen a bit more.
At the very least, the battle power he had now— 400— was something he had never even dared to imagine before.
In just one year, he had increased by 200 points, which still seemed unbelievable when he thought about it.
With his current speed, he was confident that in less than ten years, his battle power could exceed 3,000, and he would still not have reached adulthood. Once he matured, his battle power could even reach 6,000 or 7,000, maybe even 8,000.
That would make him an Elite Warrior.
Thinking about this made Raditz feel a surge of excitement, and any hint of disdain he had for Jiang Chen was now gone.
Sometimes, without even thinking, he found himself instinctively following Jiang Chen's advice, even though Jiang Chen was younger than him.
"By the way, Raditz, aren't you supposed to be returning to the Vegeta Squad soon?" Jiang Chen asked, recalling something.
"Yeah, Prince Vegeta and Nappa returned to Planet Vegeta three days ago. I should be able to stay for another two weeks," Raditz replied after a brief pause.
"When you go back, keep your training a secret. Don't let it slip."
"As for your power, you can either suppress it or not. If King Vegeta asks, just tell him that your father gave you the training," Jiang Chen advised.
He was cautious; his own strength wasn't quite there yet, and he didn't want to cause too many changes to the plot. It was easy for things to spiral out of control.
"Alright! I understand!" Raditz hesitated for a moment but then nodded in agreement.
"Once you're in the Vegeta Squad, you can head to Frieza's headquarters and get a better gravity training device, but make sure it's checked for any listening devices."
"Also, don't slack off in your training. 400 battle power isn't enough. Your father, Bardock, is a low-class warrior and has reached 10,000 battle power. As an elite warrior, you can't be weaker than that, right?"
Raditz opened his mouth, ready to argue that his father's strength was nowhere near that of an Elite Warrior. But after a moment's consideration, he shut his mouth again.
Considering Aspara's situation, it was possible that in the future, he might even surpass his own father.
And if Aspara could surpass his father, maybe Raditz could too.
Thinking about this filled Raditz with determination.
"Alright, restart the gravity training device."
"Gravity needs to be maintained over a long period," Jiang Chen reminded him.
During their previous combat, Raditz had completely removed his gravity training device to test himself.
"Okay!" Raditz nodded and was about to reactivate the device.
But at that moment, two figures lazily walked toward them from the distance.
"Hey, Raditz, so you really are here!" A loud, teasing voice rang out.
Both Raditz and Jiang Chen turned to look.
As soon as they saw the approaching figures, Jiang Chen's brow furrowed slightly.
Raditz instinctively tensed up, but quickly, his tension faded, and his expression returned to normal.
"Prince Vegeta!" Raditz called out, trying to maintain his composure.
"Raditz, you're really good at slacking off. The planet invasion this time took quite a bit of effort from us. Now, tell me how you plan to repay me," Nappa's sinister voice rang out, a malicious gleam in his eyes as he looked at Raditz.
As a Saiyan elite, Nappa found great amusement in bullying Raditz. Seeing Raditz's discomfort only fueled his interest.
"What do you mean, Nappa?" Raditz initially stepped back, but then, as if remembering something, he became angry and asked.
"What do I mean? For the next three missions, I want all your contribution points. Consider it compensation for the trouble you've caused me. How about it?"
"Raditz, I'm sure you won't object," Nappa sneered, cracking his knuckles as he spoke.
"Impossible!" Raditz's expression changed, and he snorted coldly.
This was a joke. Even if he got the least contribution, he couldn't afford to give up his points.
"This isn't something you can decide," Raditz replied firmly.
Nappa sneered, and in the next moment, he vanished in a flash.
When he reappeared, he was already behind Raditz, throwing a powerful punch toward his abdomen.
In that instant, Nappa's face twisted into a cruel grin, confident he would knock Raditz down with that punch.
But the next moment…
Nappa froze.
"Thud!"
His right fist seemed to hit solid steel, coming to an abrupt halt.
Raditz had somehow turned around and caught Nappa's fist with one hand.
"How is this possible?" Nappa's pupils widened in shock.
His attack had been blocked.
And to make things worse, Raditz only had a battle power of 200, while Nappa's was 500.
From a distance, Vegeta's face showed a hint of surprise. He quickly activated his scouter.
'Beep beep!'
The scouter quickly adjusted.
Soon, new numbers appeared in front of him.
"413!"
