Multiverse: In DanMachi, I'm the Strongest Summoner

Chapter 111: Chapter 111 - Beast Tamer Jarrah

After defeating the pitch-black Juggernaut in a single blow, Little Jugger dropped down from the ceiling.

"That's it?"

"That was seriously fast."

Raven Eltharion let out a quiet sigh of relief.

However—

A one-armed figure suddenly leapt out from behind a crystal pillar.

A collar glowing with a strange and sinister red light clamped down on Little Jugger's bony neck.

The dinosaur-fossil-like creature froze for a moment, its expression confused.

"Hahahahahahahaha!"

"I did it! Aaaahhh!"

"This thing's mine now!"

The catman beast tamer trembled with joy, flashing a wide grin at everyone present.

"Jarrah… so it was you."

"I didn't expect you to still be alive."

Alise narrowed her eyes slightly.

"To think you'd use a monster to try to kill Lion… Your character truly is laughably disgusting," Kaguya said, her tone scornful.

"Why the hell are you still alive?!"

"You filthy women of the Astraea Familia!"

Jarrah roared at them.

"Of course we're still alive."

"Because we are the Astraea Familia," Lila replied with a cold smirk.

In truth, Jarrah had summoned the Juggernaut with a single goal—to tame it.

To make it his own pet, a beast he could control at will, just like a Lambton.

This was the moment he had been dreaming of for so long—a wish finally fulfilled.

"Hey, hey, hey… What do you think you're doing to my Little Jugger?"

Raven furrowed his brows, glaring sharply at him.

He was utterly dumbfounded by the idiot's actions.

A creature with the potential to reach Level 9—how could it possibly submit to someone else?

Even the Level 9 [Empress] wouldn't be able to make it submit.

After all—

This blood-red Juggernaut was practically a God-Slayer, on par with the so-called [Assassin of the Gods].

Raven hadn't expected this event to happen so early.

All he did was kill [Barbarian] Dix ahead of schedule…

Which had caused a chain reaction of unexpected consequences.

Like this damned catman showing up earlier than he was supposed to, and putting his plan into action.

"Hahaha… your Little Jugger?"

"What a joke."

"Don't tell me you're a beast tamer too?"

Jarrah narrowed his eyes, coldly sneering.

"Beast tamer?"

"More accurately, I'm a summoner."

To someone on the verge of death, Raven had no problem revealing his job.

"I don't care what kind of '-mer' you are."

"Now—my monster, the one that belongs only to me—go and kill everyone here!"

"Ahahaha!"

With a mocking grin, Jarrah drew a whip and lashed it against the ground.

The collar and whip resonated, releasing a blinding burst of light.

"This is a monster! A real monster!"

"Hahahahahaha!"

"Go! Kill them! Rip them apart with your claws!"

Though he had no idea why its body was blood-red—

Nor how the Astraea Familia had come back to life—

Those things no longer mattered to the now-enslaved catman, Jarrah.

Little Jugger's crimson eyes flashed ominously. Its tail swung out with explosive force.

In the next instant—

That arrogant, maniacal laughter came to an abrupt halt.

Blood splattered in all directions as Jarrah's body was sliced in two.

His upper body was sent flying through the air, his face still twisted in confusion, unable to grasp what had happened—

Until it splashed down into the flowing stream inside the chamber.

His lower half collapsed to the floor, blood pooling beneath it.

He was dead—undeniably, thoroughly dead.

Little Jugger raised a claw and casually shattered the magic item still latched around its neck.

Then, in a flash, it leapt to its master's side.

"Nicely done."

Raven smiled as he patted its head.

"W-Why… why does the monster obey Mr. Raven…?"

Ryuu asked with a trembling voice, her wide eyes still vacant in shock.

"You useless elf. You still haven't pulled yourself together?"

Kaguya smiled as she glanced at the two short blades hanging from Ryuu's waist, her tone as light and musical as a biwa bard's.

"K-Kaguya…"

Memories came rushing back—of the days when they used to fight and bicker all the time.

And once more, Ryuu couldn't hold back her tears.

"My, my… Is Lion crying because she's moved by how beautiful I am?"

Alise, having removed her flame armor, placed her hands on her hips and wore a triumphant grin.

"Stupid captain, could you not be so full of yourself?"

Lila let out a sigh.

"Ryuu, are those broken twigs from the sacred Great Tree I gave you?"

Aldie looked at the scattered branches lying ahead on the ground.

"I'm sorry, Aldie."

Ryuu softly apologized.

"It's okay."

Aldie shook her head and smiled.

At that moment—

Raven walked up to them.

Following behind him were Alfia, Meteria, and Lagnaleth.

"Miss Ryuu, I hope you won't speak of what happened here."

Raven extended his hand toward her.

This was a test.

As of now, the only ones who knew about his [Summoning Magic] were his own goddess… and this woman standing before him, [Gale Wind] Ryuu Lion.

Raven wasn't ready to reveal this magic to the world just yet.

He hadn't even experienced that desperate labyrinth survival journey with her from the original story.

He had no idea how to win her over at this point.

Forget the part about clinging to each other naked for warmth—

He hadn't even held her hand yet.

To this day, only two people had truly held Ryuu's hand.

One was Syr.

The other was Alise.

Raven had no intention of becoming the nice guy who gets friend-zoned after saving the girl.
