Multiverse: In DanMachi, I'm the Strongest Summoner

Chapter 166: Chapter 166 - Match Against Lefiya

The next morning.

In the southern district of Orario, on a bustling street, inside a luxury suite of a high-end hotel—

This was the third time Raven Eltharion had visited this particular upscale establishment.

Bright sunlight seeped through the slits of the white curtains.

Lying in bed, Raven slowly opened his eyes.

"Raven, good morning," muttered Naaza beside him, half-awake and bleary-eyed.

"Morning..." Raven replied softly.

Today—

Riveria had arranged to take him, along with Lefiya and Ais, into the Dungeon for training and exploration.

After last night's intense mating session with Naaza, Raven's total stat proficiency had increased by 300 points.

...

[Name]: Raven Eltharion

[Level]: Lv.4

[Stats]: STR/H101; END/H100; DEX/H109; AGI/G200; MAG/F326

[Development Abilities]: Magic Absorption/E, Dominance/F, Summon/H

[Magic]: Divine Feather Annihilation, Reincarnation Summon, Phantom Feather

[Skills]: Demonic Frenzy, Demon King's Pressure, Sanctuary of Holy and Demonic, Heretical Golem, Dance of the Demon Horde

[Familia]: Hestia Familia

These were his latest Falna values, as seen through his Status Sheet.

As for Naaza—

Due to her lower level, she had gained more.

In total, she earned 350 points of stat proficiency.

"Raven, did I really gain 350 stat points in one go?" she asked in shock and delight.

"Yes," Raven replied. "Once you return to Lord Miach to update your Falna, it'll be reflected."

"Also, remember not to tell anyone about this rare skill of mine," he added with a smile.

"Got it. Thank you, Raven. I love you..." Naaza beamed with joy.

At first, she had been very surprised.

She had never imagined such a rare growth-type skill could exist.

Now she finally understood how Raven could level up so quickly—

Leveling up in a single day definitely had to do with that growth-type skill.

"Raven... want to go again?" Naaza whispered.

Raven glanced at his wristwatch and realized it was getting late.

"Next time," he said. "I'll come find you."

"My skill can farm EXP, but it doesn't contribute to deeds."

"Mm, I understand," she said while stretching her limbs and taking a deep breath.

"It's been so long since I slept this comfortably. Sleeping with you is so relaxing and safe."

She closed her eyes, smiling contentedly.

Indeed, when a man and woman snuggle up together, it not only brings physical intimacy but also promotes circulation.

Raven gave a soft smile. "Alright, Naaza. I'm heading out. I'll come see you again when I have time."

He pulled off the blanket and got dressed.

A crimson stain remained on the pristine white bed sheets.

After a quick wash, he left the room, bidding farewell to the still-lounging dog-eared girl.

...

Under a cloudless sky, Raven strolled casually along the busy western street, filled with demi-humans.

Yes—he had taken a detour from the southern street to pass by the headquarters under renovation in the southwest.

The efficiency of the Guberniu Familia left him genuinely impressed.

They estimated that by tomorrow, they'd be able to officially move into the Hearthfire Hall.

"Riveria the Nine Demon Princess, and Lefiya the Thousand Elf..."

"Looking forward to it."

Bathed in warm sunlight, Raven squinted and smiled, his spirits high.

He admired every corner of the streets he passed:

A creepy fortune-telling stall in an alley…

Demi-human girls without a Familia running a flower shop…

A deep-fried potato stand in an unexpected spot…

With most adventurers exploring the Dungeon, the streets were relatively quiet.

The labyrinth city was vast, with distinct districts from industrial zones to entertainment areas all within massive city walls.

"Right... I've never been to Pleasure Street yet. Maybe someday."

Unknowingly, he reached a roadside barbeque stall.

His nose twitched as the savory smell of grilled meat wafted through the air.

"Boss, two skewers of grilled meat. Medium spicy."

The beastman stall owner looked up and smiled.

"Isn't that the Demon Lord of Heavenly Feathers? Here, I'll give you an extra one. Just 30 valis."

"Deal," Raven replied, handing over a 30-valis coin.

Eating while walking, he arrived at Central Plaza at exactly 10 o'clock.

After tossing the skewers into a bin, he scanned the crowd.

The urban center, with its fountains and green trees, was always bustling.

"...Raven."

A familiar female voice called out from behind.

He turned around—

There stood Ais, Riveria, and Lefiya.

Ais stood still, a flicker of subtle emotion in her golden eyes.

"Mr. Raven, aren't you bringing your staff?" Lefiya asked curiously, seeing him in shorts and a T-shirt with empty hands.

She was holding her Forest's Tear magic staff, knowing Raven was also a mage.

"You'll see soon enough," Raven answered calmly.

He glanced at the elf girl—long pointed ears peeking from both sides of her face, auburn hair tied in a high ponytail.

Delicate features and natural elven beauty, dressed in pink and white layered attire with butterfly accessories.

White stockings—decent quality, he noted.

"Mr. Raven… your gaze feels strange. Please stop," Lefiya shivered slightly, her expression darkening.

"Don't flatter yourself. I was just checking if you were wearing armor."

Raven looked away. "Let's go. To the Dungeon."

Riveria, wielding the Great Elf Wand, led the way.

Magic trials and mage training were usually done inside the Dungeon.

Casting offensive spells in the city was illegal and could result in immediate arrest by the Guild.

Only inside monster-filled labyrinths could magic be freely unleashed, as long as others weren't harmed.

To avoid revealing magic chants and effects, mages often trained off-route near the dungeon's edge floors.

Additionally—

Raven was the leader of a different Familia, while Riveria, Ais, and Lefiya were Loki Familia members.

Given the strained relationship between their gods, the four of them training together was unthinkable.

If anyone saw them, there'd be questions for sure.

Still, with Riveria leading, Ais and Lefiya had nothing to fear.

...

Dungeon, 5th Floor.

A large square chamber with only one entrance.

No other adventurers in sight. Perfect for testing spells.

"Alright, how should we do this?" Raven asked, pulling his Thousand Feather Wand from storage.

The girls were all silently surprised.

Riveria's eyes widened slightly. Ais tilted her head, watching.

"M-Mr. Raven, what was that… just now?" Lefiya asked, stunned.

"It's my spatial magic. No chanting required. As you saw—it stores items."

Raven, as always, brushed it off.

No chant? No spell name?

Everyone knew that chantless casting still required naming the spell.

Riveria, being Orario's strongest mage, wasn't easily fooled.

She knew—Raven was clearly hiding something.

Ais also remembered Raven had another spatial magic—used for teleportation.

She quietly smiled but suppressed it, not wanting Riveria to notice.

It was a secret between her and Raven.

Just then, the wall beside them cracked open.

Three kobolds emerged, snarling.

"Right—Lefiya," Raven called out. "Didn't you want to duel me in magic?"

"Yes, I did. Mr. Raven, how should we do this?"

"Simple. We'll compete by using magic to kill monsters. Whoever gets more kills wins. The winner gets to make a request. Sound good, Miss Nine Demon Princess?"

He looked toward Riveria, whose expression remained unchanged.

He knew attacking Lefiya directly would be one-sided. She'd get wrecked.

Even in close combat, he could take her down easily.

So—using monsters as targets was more fair.

The Guild's records confirmed Raven had Lv.3 strength. They knew that much.

And both Riveria and Lefiya—apart from Ais—were curious how he'd grown so fast.

Before their expedition, he was still Lv.2.

Did he cheat or something?

"Alright," Lefiya agreed. "Let's begin."

"Those kobolds are yours," Raven said.

As the monsters charged at him, Raven evaded with ease.

The duel had to be decided by magic—not melee combat.

Which also meant testing mana and stamina reserves.

Lefiya beamed with confidence and began chanting:

"—Arrow of unsealing light, bow of sacred wood, I am the master of the bow's name..."

Without her magic staff, she extended her arm.

A golden array formed beneath her feet.

"—Sniper of the elven line."

"—Pierce, central arrow!"

As she finished the chant, mana gathered.

Just then—the kobolds turned toward her.

Her eyes widened.

The monsters lunged.

In the next moment—their heads flew, cut clean off.

A golden-haired figure stood before her, sword drawn.

"M-Miss Ais...?"

"You alright, Lefiya?"

Riveria sighed but wasn't disappointed.

Clearly—Lefiya needed more mental fortitude.

That was her conclusion as the Nine Demon Princess.

Raven had seen it all.

Lefiya had a trauma from deeper floors.

Being unarmored, even a single punch could knock out a mage, no matter the level.

"I lost. I'll follow your request. Say it..."

Lefiya lowered her head in shame.

"Not really. It's just the first round. You're still able to fight. So—pull yourself together."

Raven hadn't even acted yet. The match wasn't over.

Not long after, the wall cracked again.

This time—five Frog Shooters appeared.

They could ensnare adventurers with long tongues and devour them.

Raven extended his palm, not even using his staff.

"[—Flame Lightning!]"

The swift magic shot out from his palm.

A flame-shaped lightning bolt devoured all the frog monsters, burning even their magic stones.

The raging fire continued, slamming into the wall—

BOOM!

With an explosion, the wall melted from the intense heat.

"S-So strong..."

Lefiya stood wide-eyed.

This was true chantless casting.

Round one—

Without a doubt, Raven had won.

"No need to continue. Lefiya can't beat you," Riveria said flatly.

She had now seen Raven's fourth spell.

The magic of sound, wide-area devastation, and the earlier defensive spell.

She now believed Raven's claim of 99 spells.

Raven sighed quietly.

"How about we train on another floor?"

"The upper levels aren't really suited for me."

With that, he decided—it was time to show them his teleportation magic.
