Withing a minute, Ash and Agni managed to take down almost all the bandits who were part of the human trafficking, although the smart ones managed to run away before they can be taken down.

They both then went towards the mother and daughter. The daughter was looking at them with wide eyes filled with wonder while the mother who had been the prey to the abuse of the bandits, was still wary of them.

Agni tried to show that they are not harmful to them while Ash went back to take their bags in which there were a few items including their identities.

Agni managed to show that she did not mean any harm while Ash came back with the bags quickly. Seeing the Fairy Tail identification tags on their hands, the mother calmed down lost consciousness as she was under a lot of stress and had a lot of physical abuse on the body.

Ash and Agni were planning on following the people to their hideout to take down the crime syndicate, who dared to do human trafficking near the city where the strongest wizard guild was situated, but seeing the condition of the mother and the children in the carriage, they decided to contact the guild.

They took out a small square device and pressed a yellow button in it. After the few accidents the guild had with the members being trapped in their quests, Karna had decided to create a device that will help to contact the guilds when in case of emergency. Agni pressed on a button that signified that they were safe but there were people who are in need of help due to being injured.

While they waited, they released the kids from the chains that restricted the blood flow from moving through their limbs. By this time, Lucy, Cornelia along with Elfman reached the place.

Cornelia immediately checked the mother seeing that she was in dire condition. After checking for a few moments, she took some stuff from the bag.

"Lucy help me clean the wounds" Cornelia ordered.

"Oh, okay" Lucy exclaimed and began to help her.

Elfman at the time saw the bandits and immediately made sure that they are tied up and can't do anything to them. The close call with Lisanna had made him cautious about things, so he makes sure that there are no mistakes.

He saw the condition of the children and became enraged by it, but he kept a calm face and smiled gently at them.

"I'll go and get some food and necessary stuff for the kids, you two can handle the protection in case anyone comes right" Elfman asked while the two Charmeleons nodded to show that they will.

Elfman was about to go but thinking again, he took all the knocked-out bandits into a bundle and carried it with him. Cornelia who saw it happen in the corner of her eye just smiled.

"Is my mama gonna be alright?" the Kid asked worried.

"Don't worry, Cornelia is one of the best medic in Fairy Tail guild, I have seen her patch up even more dangerous wounds before" Lucy reassured the girl with a smile.

By then, Cornelia managed to patch up the mother completely.

"She just needs to sleep and rest for a few days. But after that she will be all right" Cornelia said reassuring the worried child.

"Okay" the child nodded while she hugged her mother.

Cornelia then went to check the kids. She winced when she saw the surface condition and when she checked them for injuries, fury coursed through her.

"Those bastards" She muttered. With her expertise, she was able find out about weeks of abuse, malnutrition and extreme dehydration, none of which a child should suffer. She had seen people on the streets with better condition than what the children before her was in.

"Kids, I brought food" Elfman shouted as he brought back food from the guild.

The hungry kids all flocked towards him but stood still at a certain distance. All the adults understood what that means. The kids were tortured in ways that made them vary of kind people.

"How can they do this to kids" Lucy said while having an angry expression.

Elfman controlled his expression with a smile and handed out food to everyone, making sure that all of them have their fill. He then moved towards Lucy and the Charmeleons while Cornelia handled the kids.

"The guys back in the guild was able to beat the crap out of the bastards and get the information we needed. From what they said, they are a cult of Zeref who wants to resurrect him by sacrificing children under the age of ten. From what I know they are planning to start the ritual within two days and keep doing it until Zeref appears before them." Elfman spat out in distaste.

"Gruuu" (Lets make sure the kids are safe and go wiper out those bastards from this planet) Ash Growled.

Lucy nodded along with the others as she understood the underlying meaning.

They immediately contacted the authorities of the city and managed to take all the children to the orphanages and sent reports throughout the kingdom to find information about missing kids, to return them to their families. But hearing the information from Agni about how they chanced upon the child trafficking, they had little hope as the chances of them killing the parents are very high.

Later in the night.

"Alright, the Fantasia parade is within a few days, make sure to completely wipe those bastards and save the children within that time. I want all my kids to be present on the parade" Makarov ordered the people who were prepared to face the cult of Zeref.

Elfman, Lisanna, Lucy, Ultear, Melody, Ash and Agni. They were not able to find Karna and Cana, but they were not worried as they know they will be safe.

"Let's go" Elfman said as they boarded the carriage.
