Chapter 185: Chapter 183: Final Kill

Gilgamesh's mood was far from pleasant.

The situation had turned unfavorable for him. His departure from the Church was straightforward—he intended to directly summon the Holy Grail and alter the outcome of this increasingly dull war. However, when the black mud within the Grail spilled forth, the nature of the conflict shifted dramatically. The "All the World's Evil" would transform Fuyuki City into a living hell.

Yet he was ambushed en route.

Initially, two Servants were manageable. But then a third joined the fray—Caster. Their combined assault signaled the prudence of their Masters in targeting him. While Gilgamesh didn't begrudge being challenged by multiple foes, it still irked him as the supreme king to have his plans disrupted so casually.

Wasn't he meant to be untouchable?

Fighting three Servants with ordinary means alone proved taxing. Should he deploy *EA*?

But the thought was quickly discarded as Cu Chulainn charged forward like a rabid dog. With *Battle Continuation*, the Irish hero excelled at prolonged combat, dragging out the fight on the frontlines. Meanwhile, Assassin's Noble Phantasm and Caster's magic further divided his focus.

Treasures from the *Gate of Babylon* were rapidly depleted by these three adversaries.

At one point, Cu Chulainn's face loomed dangerously close. Gilgamesh instinctively drew a weapon from the golden vortex to defend himself.

"Heh, Archer, I've been wanting to test my skills against you. Is this all the might of the world's greatest king?" Cu Chulainn taunted, knowing Gilgamesh's true name not because Li Mo revealed it but due to information gleaned during his time under Kotomine Kirei.

"Curse you, mongrel! You dare provoke me!" Gilgamesh snarled, his patience snapping. In response to Cu Chulainn's relentless assault, golden chains emerged from the vortex.

*Enkidu—the Chain of Heaven.*

This relic symbolized his friendship with Enkidu, a treasure reserved only for divine foes. Yet now, it was deployed against Cu Chulainn—a figure possessing partial divinity as the Light Son of Ireland. Though reluctant to use *Enkidu*, Gilgamesh's pride left him no choice.

In that instant, a shadow darted from the forest. Was it another Servant? No, it lacked their aura. Not a shikigami either—it was human.

Their Master? How laughable. Could a mere human truly intervene in battles between Heroic Spirits?

Gilgamesh dismissed the idea outright. To him, humans were akin to children—too weak to warrant serious attention. If Servants deserved respect in battle, mortals did not. Thus, he paid little heed to why this human chose to charge now. Was it arrogance driving them to certain death?

Over the years, Gilgamesh had encountered countless humans whose overconfidence led to failure. Arrogance blinded them, causing fatal mistakes even in simple tasks.

Li Mo wasn't such a fool. Training alongside demon slayers forged his resolve. Battles against demons weren't unlike confronting ghosts—high-risk endeavors where pride often sealed one's fate. Instead, he relied on adaptability, honing his skills through experience.

As martial artists say: "A wide river will eventually wet the feet of those who walk its banks too often."

Gilgamesh remained oblivious, continuing to unleash treasures from his Gate of Babylon. A barrage of kinetic weapons hurtled toward Li Mo. Despite acknowledging the man's potential, Gilgamesh still allocated some attention to ensure his elimination.

But Li Mo felt no fear. Seeing the disdain in Gilgamesh's gaze, he knew this was the decisive moment.

Too proud to notice.

Even now, Gilgamesh showed no intention of deploying his ultimate Noble Phantasm.

*Tenken Kaikyaku Hoshi no Tamashii—the Star of Conquering Heaven and Splitting Earth. EA*

The strongest blade in existence, synonymous with slicing open worlds. That was Gilgamesh's true power—and it wouldn't come into play here today.

Clang clang clang—!

In an instant, Li Mo deflected incoming treasures with *Amenoma Kageuchi*. The sheer force transmitted through the sword was channeled into his hands, neutralized effortlessly via "force nullification." Martial arts were indeed wondrous; they allowed him to transcend ordinary limits.

Closing the gap, Li Mo appeared before Gilgamesh in the blink of an eye. Cu Chulainn struggled under the constraints of *Enkidu*, while Medea and Koyanskaya worked together to buy precious seconds. Using Runes and magical assistance, Cu Chulainn temporarily suppressed his own divinity to evade the chain's judgment.

Now, white-hot blades clashed in close quarters. Medea focused entirely on aiding Cu Chulainn against *Enkidu*, leaving Li Mo free to act.

Preparations for countering Gilgamesh were already in place.

Five meters separated Li Mo from the King of Heroes.

Still, Gilgamesh spared him only a glance from the corner of his eye, never deigning to look directly. The number of golden portals facing him doubled, raining down more attacks.

Arrogance kills.

Even kings slip up when walking riverside paths too often.

Li Mo's expression remained calm, devoid of emotion. In his eyes, there existed only Gilgamesh. Despite enhancements granting him near-Servant capabilities, humanity came with inherent weaknesses. Even fortified by magic, his body couldn't fully withstand the onslaught.

He could feel capillaries rupturing under pressure—but that didn't matter. He was within striking range.

Within five steps.

The trio of Servants created perfect conditions, ensuring Gilgamesh's full attention remained elsewhere. Still, the king hadn't spared him a second glance.

Better this way.

His vision grew ethereal, reality slowing almost to a halt.

"Secret Sword: Swallow Counter!"

Three simultaneous strikes converged upon Gilgamesh, each cutting across time and space to land in the same moment, the same place, on the same target. Yet even this wasn't enough.

Li Mo activated the hidden power within him—the essence of human sin, the raw beastliness latent in all fleshly beings.

*Beast Authority.*

It applied universally to anything born of mortal origins—whether human, Heroic Spirit, or Servant. All shared the vulnerabilities of blood and bone.

This revelation brought clarity. Li Mo's calm shattered into determination. For once, he embraced the primal instincts buried deep within himself.

The battlefield erupted anew. With enhanced strength and precision, Li Mo closed the remaining distance, ready to rewrite the rules of this war.
