The Holy Grail War was ultimately destined to end. 

This didn't just refer to the war itself. Once Shirou Emiya convinced Ilya, the conflict between the Masters had already concluded. What remained was to complete the **ritual** of the Holy Grail War. 

Avenger was inside the **Greater Grail**, able to observe what was happening in the outside world. However, the Masters outside had no way of knowing what she was doing. 

This wasn't a hypothesis—it was a fact. Bazett's situation had already proven that Avenger had the ability to influence the outside world. 

As time passed, Medea announced that the **Lesser Grail**, crafted from the **Lesser Grail** extracted from Ilya's body and the Holy Grail fragment taken from Sakura Matou, was complete. This meant it was time to resolve the final **contradiction**. 

"Honestly, I only invited Saber here as an emergency **safeguard**. Why did the rest of you come along? Don't you have school tomorrow, Shirou?" 

Learning from the lessons of the Fourth Holy Grail War, summoning the **Greater Grail** couldn't take place in the city center. When the black mud erupted from the void, it would be a disaster. The great fire ten years ago was proof of that. 

The chosen location was Mount Enzō, where there was a small lake. This would prevent the black mud from causing a forest fire on the mountain. 

Li Mo's question made the four Masters, excluding Ilya, exchange glances. Rin Tohsaka was the first to speak up: "The ley lines of Fuyuki City are managed by my family. As such, I have a duty to be here. Besides, if Saber can do it, Archer can too." 

A certain white-haired, tanned Servant appeared behind Rin. Li Mo thought about it—Archer's long-range **sniping** abilities weren't weak. **Broken Phantasm** was also quite destructive. 

After some consideration, Li Mo decided not to argue. 

It wasn't the weekend, and these people still had to go to school tomorrow. It was amusing to think about them studying diligently as students during the day and then participating in the Holy Grail War as magi at night. 

If not for his involvement, the Holy Grail War would have ended quickly, and the school would have suffered. When Rider was still under Shinji Matou's control, he had set up a bounded field at the school, draining the students' life force to convert it into magical energy for Rider.

Since Shinji had started taking over the family affairs, the relationship between the siblings had improved significantly. As the older brother, Shinji had been **yielding** in various ways to his sister. 

Li Mo rarely interfered in the Matou family's matters. Once Shinji obtained the Mystic Eyes and researched how to create an external magical energy organ similar to the **Divine Eyes**, their connection would end. 

"Is this the **Lesser Grail**? It doesn't look like my heart at all." 

Upon arriving at the destination, Ilya looked at the **Lesser Grail** Medea was holding and spoke directly. The **Lesser Grail** now truly resembled a cup, reminiscent of the religiously significant Holy Grail in history. 

Who could have imagined that just a few days ago, this thing had been her heart? Although Medea had added other materials, the main component was still her heart. 

After some thought, it was strange how much she trusted Li Mo. They had known each other for less than half a month, yet they had developed such a deep bond. It felt oddly relaxing to be around him.

"Ilya, step back. It's about to begin. Especially Berserker—make sure he protects everyone's safety." 

Li Mo didn't know what Ilya was thinking. He was completely focused now. What they were about to face was the most important event of this world. 

Its importance was on par with awakening Lady Hanachirusato. 

Li Mo had long given up on using the black mud to create a body for Lady Hanachirusato. She remained in a state of **slumber**, and he could only hope that further research into the **Third Magic** would provide the knowledge needed to **awaken** her. 

As for the black mud, he planned to absorb it himself. 

**"All the World's Evils"** and the **Beasts** weren't the same, but their nature was similar. Using the black mud as nourishment to walk the path of a **Beast** was feasible. 

Everything was ready. All that was left was to set things in motion. 

Now, Li Mo would personally send the "east wind." 

Next, Medea personally carried the **Lesser Grail** to the center of the lake. They had chosen this location because it was remote, and even if there were significant **disturbances**, no one would notice. The only people who might hear anything were those at Ryuudou Temple, but Li Mo had already used magecraft to ensure they would sleep soundly. 

Watching Medea fly toward the center, she used her magical energy to remotely control the Holy Grail. This was part of the plan they had agreed upon. Knowing that the black mud had a **special attack** against Servants, they had to be fully prepared. 

Li Mo glanced at Koyanskaya beside him. 

The beautiful secretary, dressed in her black bodysuit, looked like she was in her first **spiritual foundation** state. From his distant memories, this was her outfit in that form. 

He hadn't seen her in other **spiritual foundation** states, but that was just game lore. Reality and games were always different. 

Noticing Li Mo's gaze, Koyanskaya smiled. "Master, are you nervous now?" 

"Why aren't you calling me by my name anymore?" 

"You really are nervous, aren't you?" 

Li Mo admitted, "I am a bit nervous. Right now, I'm a little scared." 

"It's okay, Master. I'll always be by your side." 

The Traveler hesitated no longer. He turned his gaze to the center of the lake. The path to transcendence lay before him, and the road was under his feet. There was still a chance to turn back. 

He smiled. 

"Alright." 

With that, he no longer hesitated. 

Medea returned from the center of the lake to the shore. She said, "Master, it's begun." 

"I see." 

At the center of the lake, Li Mo no longer needed the **Keepsake Mirror** to observe what was happening. That item, along with the fox mask, had been left at the Emiya household. 

Using magecraft, Li Mo could see what was happening from a distance. The **Lesser Grail** began to fill with black liquid, first filling the cup entirely, then overflowing and spilling into the lake below. 

In an instant, a golden-white light shot into the sky—a pure concentration of magical energy. The heavens were affected by the light, and a **black hole**-like void appeared in the sky. From the bottomless void, the black mud began to pour out. 

The Holy Grail had descended.
