The Dark Side War.

Frenda felt two hands grab her shoulders. Turning around, she saw the man's kind smile, though his now-open eyes had turned into golden beast-like pupils.

"I saw the bomb explode right on you!"

"You think explosions work on me?"

"I surrender."

The girl wasn't exactly the most strong-willed person. When it came to life and death, everything else was negotiable.

Li Mo grabbed Frenda by the back of her collar, lifting her like a ragdoll. "I actually thought I'd run into the #2, but in the end, it's just grunts, huh?"

"Uh, actually, the #2 already took what he wanted and ran away."

"It's a strategic retreat. He probably got what he wanted… what a foolish kid. Oh, and don't expect me to let you go. I'm not exactly forgiving. Getting a bomb thrown in my face is something I'll remember for life."

"You're so magnanimous."

Sensing that the man had no intention of killing her, Frenda flattered him with a sycophantic tone.

"I'm not magnanimous; I'm a barbarian. Alright, come with me."

Carrying Frenda like a little bunny, Li Mo left the scene.

If he remembered correctly, the conflict that just happened was between the dark side organizations of Dark Matter and Meltdowner, meaning it was a fight between Academy City's #2 and #4.

If it were a real deathmatch, Li Mo would bet on Dark Matter. Not just because of his higher rank, but because his ability was ridiculously overpowered—he could create matter that didn't exist in this world.

If it weren't for Accelerator, that freak, Dark Matter might have been the #1 in Academy City.
