Multiverse's Holy Right

Chapter 97: [97] I'll Take It All!

Only children make choices—adults take everything!

In this moment, Roy had resolved: neither Athena's authorities nor her person would he relinquish.

Under normal circumstances, this would be impossible. But Roy's current situation was exceptionally unique—precisely the time when impossibility could become possibility.

The fountain-like blood streaming from his pores had already been staunched. Pressing a hand to his temple to suppress the dizziness, he gazed down imperiously at the prone, powerless Athena meeting his eyes.

The goddess's amber eyes were filled with defiance. Though she had lost and acknowledged their agreement, the proud goddess would never completely degrade herself into a captive, allowing Roy to manipulate her at will. He might forcibly possess Athena's body now, but he could never truly win her heart.

Their agreement included the clause that the defeated would become the victor's possession, but that didn't mean the defeated couldn't harbor murderous intent. The victor could dispose of the loser as they pleased, yet the loser might still rebel. Even the most loyal soldier could betray their leader, let alone a Campione and a Heretic God.

Roy and Athena's agreement contained no clause forbidding the defeated from resisting the victor—because even Roy found such a notion laughable. Absolute loyalty didn't exist in this world. Even the most honorable hero would turn rebellious or even mad if their most unbreakable principles were violated.

"Then, as per our agreement, Athena—you are now my possession!" Roy wiped the blood from his face and declared solemnly.

"Indeed, by our covenant, this one is now your possession, Roy. You may do whatever you wish to this one, and this one shall comply. This one is a virgin goddess—though inexperienced in carnal matters, this one's wisdom encompasses all. This one shall strive to bring you pleasure upon this body. Thereafter, this one shall obey your commands."

"...However," Athena continued, lying on the ground, her curvaceous form rising and falling with each breath, "this one is the solitary and lofty Athena. Henceforth, you must remain vigilant—this one shall seize every opportunity to slay you. Thus, this one advises you to kill this one after taking this one's maidenhood. Until we next meet, we shall continue our battle to the death!"

Though the defeated party, her tone and gaze dripped with mockery, making her seem more like the victor—a proud peacock.

But this was Athena. Had she groveled and fawned after a single defeat, she would no longer be Athena. Even in death, even stripped of her virgin goddesshood, she would never relinquish her pride. This was the true goddess.

"Don't make me sound like some lust-crazed demon. My goal in defeating you wasn't just to claim your body." Roy gave a bitter smile. While he lived indulgently, he wasn't the type to bed a new woman every night. Given his status, with seven billion people in the world and countless beauties, he could've hosted nightly orgies with hundreds of women if he wished.

"Is that not so? Which demon king demanded this one share his bed? Which demon king reacted to this one's youthful form? Even this one's lecherous father, Zeus, would not lust after a child so young." Athena's lips curled further, her mockery thickening.

"You're comparing me to Zeus? I don't know whether to be flattered or weep..." Roy's mouth twitched as he retorted, "...And that's hardly my fault. Blame your own allure, Goddess. I merely had a normal male physiological response."

"Alright, let's not discuss this matter anymore. We should focus on the main issue," Roy said impatiently. Being treated like a pervert and looked down upon would upset anyone, no matter how indifferent they might seem.

Athena closed her mouth, but the faint smile on her face made it clear her mood had improved considerably.

This goddess always has to take the initiative in everything. So stubborn.

Roy shook his head slightly in his mind.

"I won't kill you, nor will I do anything to you. I want you to become my subordinate and fight alongside me!" Roy made his demand.

Athena was taken aback for a moment before letting out a soft laugh. "...That joke isn't funny. You want me, a Heretic God, to fight other Heretic Gods with you? You are a Campione, and I am a Heretic God. Do you really think such a thing is possible between us? Even if gods belong to different mythologies, they are still my kin. Why should I help you kill my own kind?"

"First, to answer your initial question—normally, a Campione and a Heretic God could never ally. Their very instincts make them despise each other. Fighting together would be impossible; if they didn't stab each other in the back during battle, it would already be sheer luck. But I'm different, Athena. When you face me, do you truly feel that uncontrollable urge to kill me at all costs?"

Roy raised his chin slightly as he countered.

Athena fell silent for a moment. The goddess disdained lies, so she nodded lightly and admitted, "...Indeed, the stench of the Raksasa that repels Heretic Gods is faint on you—so faint it's almost imperceptible. Though I may wish to kill you, that is merely Athena's will, not the fate of a Heretic God."

"...That is also why I find you so interesting, so unique. Even if you were to die, I would remember you. Hmm, I've suddenly grown a bit curious. So, tell me—why should I turn against my own kin for you?"

Athena was a creature of whimsy. She was simply too proud to ever lower her head in submission. But when something piqued her interest, she became more willful than anyone.

"You may be Athena now, but if we trace your origins, you were once a winged serpent. Before you were crowned with the name of the gods, you were the ancient goddess of life and death, worshipped by the people of old. You ruled over the earth and the underworld, wielding the wisdom of the heavens. Without a doubt, you were the highest among the gods—peerless, wielding supreme authority, the queen of deities."

Roy suddenly began praising Athena's glorious achievements, extolling the splendor of her past. But Athena's expression darkened, for she knew what was coming next would be unpleasant.

"But with the rise of the 'Steel,' as men began to rebel, you were cast down from your highest throne. The supreme deity shifted from the maternal Earth Mother to the strict Father God. With Zeus, the King of Gods was born!"

"...The ancient Earth Mother Goddesses began to fall, becoming the wives, sisters, and daughters of male gods. They lost their former radiance, even degenerating into monsters—beasts to be slain by heroes!"

Roy's every word pierced Athena's heart like a sharp blade, stabbing into her most unbearable memories, taking root there and tearing open her wounds completely.

The goddess gritted her silver teeth, her face darkening with anger.

"Silence! Shut your mouth—do not speak another word of these vile, disgusting lies!"

Athena's voice was sharp, almost like a woman's shrill scream, grating on the ears.

Roy stopped digging at her scars and instead shifted his tone.

"...Heretic Gods despise Campiones, but compared to Campiones, Athena, you despise the Steel Gods even more! So rather than throwing your life away here, why not join forces with me? You've already witnessed my power. If we work together, we can take revenge on those Steel Gods—until we sever the Last Steel, ruining all their schemes!"

"...What do you say, Athena? Is that reason enough for you?"

Athena slightly parted her cherry lips, a flash of surprise crossing her face. "...You know of the final steel, the last king?"

But she quickly regained her composure, speaking coolly, "...Your eyes possess wisdom akin to mine, so it's no surprise you would know this. Hmph, Roy, your eloquence is impressive. You've stirred something within me. Compared to you, the Demon King of the Rakshasa, I indeed loathe those steels who stripped us earth goddesses of our glory and cast us into degradation—loathe them enough to wish every last one of them dead!"

Her cold, haughty gaze fixed on Roy's dual-pupiled eyes, her stunning, nation-toppling beauty suddenly blooming like a hundred flowers as she smiled enchantingly. "...My wisdom tells me you have other motives, but compared to my hatred for the steels, I can turn a blind eye to such matters. Hold out your hand..."

Caught off guard by Athena's sudden radiant smile, Roy hesitated for a moment before instinctively extending his hand.

Then, the goddess's jade-white fingers clasped his and brought it to her lips. With a sharp bite of her pearly teeth, she sank them into his flesh.

At that moment, Roy knew his plan had succeeded.

For he had made Athena his subordinate, which meant he now possessed all her divine authorities.

Though he hadn't yet obtained her body, he had gained the opportunity to win her heart.

When pursuing a woman, the hardest part is always how to meet her and intertwine with her life. Once you've met the goddess of your dreams and your lives begin to intersect, emotions will naturally blossom.

Roy and Athena now shared the common goal of standing against the Steel Gods and defeating the Last King. With this unshakable camaraderie between them, Roy was certain he would have the opportunity to claim everything Athena had to offer.

I don't just want your authority—I want you. I don't just want your body—I want your heart. As an adult, I should proudly declare, "I'll take it all!"
