Mumen Rider in MHA

Chapter 90: Chapter 90 : The People Remember

➤ Scene 1: The Boy with the Helmet

A small boy, maybe five or six, pedals past a puddle in a narrow alley. On his head is a toy bike helmet painted silver with red stripes.

"Slow down!" his mother shouts from behind.

The boy doesn't. He rides with determination—eyes forward, feet pedaling like it means something.

The back of his jacket says, crudely in marker: Mumen Jr.

➤ Scene 2: The Couple from the Mugging

An older man sets down a humble bouquet of marigolds outside a closed flower shop. His wife, leaning on a cane, helps straighten the ribbon.

Neither says a word. But both linger after they place the flowers.

A quiet act of gratitude.

A silent vow.

➤ Scene 3: Kana at the Gate

Kana walks through her neighborhood alone, hoodie up, hands deep in her pockets. Her steps slow as she passes a pair of kids teasing a smaller classmate by the bike racks.

She stops.

Her fingers twitch. One crackles faintly with compressed air.

She doesn't interfere… yet.

But she turns back. Watches.

➤ Scene 4: Sayaka's Bulletin Board

In the hospital break room, Nurse Sayaka stands at the corkboard near the coffee machine.

She tacks up a new clipping: a photo of Mumen Rider holding a toddler and grinning awkwardly while drenched in rain.

The article's headline:

> "No Quirk. No Glory. Still Our Hero."

She smooths the edges of the paper.

Under her breath, she murmurs, "Idiot."

But she's smiling.

---

➤ Scene 5: Miyako's Quiet Moment

At the flower shop counter, Miyako dusts a shelf of vases. She finds a folded note slipped between two books.

It simply reads:

> Thanks for the plant. It's still alive. Kinda like me.

—S.K.

She presses the paper to her chest and looks out the rain-slicked window.

---

➤ Final Scene: Satoru

Night.

Satoru rides through an empty street—his new armor catching streetlamp light, helmet gleaming. He doesn't wave. Doesn't smile for cameras.

He just pedals.

One tired breath at a time.

One tired hope at a time.

No spotlight.

Just motion.

> "Even if no one claps," he murmurs, voice barely audible beneath the rain and wind,

"I'll keep riding."
