Chapter 21: New love
But Kade hadn't forgotten his earlier bravado. He charged a Hakai ball in his palm, the purple energy pulsing with the promise of annihilation. "You know, I've been holding back," he quipped, a cheeky smile playing on his lips.
Vala narrowed her eyes, not fooled for a second. "You wouldn't dare," she warned, her voice a low growl.
With a dramatic shrug, Kade tossed the Hakai ball into the sky like a baseball pitcher. "Why not?" he called back, his grin widening as the sphere grew to the size of a small moon. "It's just a little game of cosmic catch."
The air grew tense as the ball of destruction hurtled back down toward Vala. She watched it come, her eyes gleaming with fiery determination. At the last possible second, she threw up a hand, unleashing a blast of crimson ki to intercept the incoming Hakai. The two forces collided in a cacophony of sound and light, the ground trembling beneath their feet.
The beam clashed with the Hakai ball, a fiery dance of power that seemed to go on forever. But Kade had not underestimated her. He watched as Vala's beam wavered and then flickered out, unable to hold out against the pressure. He stepped forward, catching the Hakai with a grin. "Looks like someone's been practicing," he said, his voice teasing.
The Saiyans around them gasped as the sphere of destruction hovered in Kade's hand, his godly aura swirling around it like a tornado of purple fire. "Impressive, but I think it's time to up the ante."
With a sultry smirk, Vala readied herself for the impact. The Hakai ball grew, swelling with the power of a dying star. Kade's grin remained fixed as he lobbed it at her. It shot through the air like a meteor, the heat searing everything in its path.
Vala took a deep breath and braced herself. Her eyes flashed with a mix of excitement and defiance as the ball slammed into her outstretched palm. The explosion of energy sent shockwaves through the training grounds, flinging dust and debris into the air. Her clothes were no match for the power, shredded into ribbons. Her armor crumpled and fell away, revealing the sculpted, muscular body beneath—each curve and contour highlighted by the soft, feminine glow of her skin. Her tube top and shorts clung to her body, torn and tattered, leaving little to the imagination. Her breasts, larger than most Saiyan women's, jiggled slightly as she absorbed the blow, their size and firmness a stark contrast to the rest of her warrior's physique.
Her hair fluttered in the aftermath of the blast, a fiery halo around her head. The Saiyans watched, their jaws hanging open. Kade's eyes widened, his cheeks flushing slightly. He hadn't meant to do that. "Well, uh... I guess we're a bit more evenly matched now," he stuttered, trying to recover his composure.
The atmosphere grew thick with tension and unspoken attraction. Aria's eyes darted between them, her cheeks reddening slightly as she tried to ignore the sudden change in their dynamic. She cleared her throat, hoping to ease the awkwardness. "Kade, remember your godly duties," she reminded him, trying to keep the amusement out of her voice.
But Kade was transfixed by Vala's fiery beauty, his mind racing with thoughts that had nothing to do with destruction or duty. Her muscular body was a testament to her prowess in battle, yet her feminine form was undeniably alluring. He swallowed hard, his heart racing as he took in the sight of her.
Vala's eyes never left his, a playful smirk dancing on her lips. She knew the effect she had on him, and she reveled in it. "I think we've got some unfinished business," she said, her voice low and husky.
Kade nodded, his gaze flicking over her body before returning to her eyes. "You're on," he murmured, his voice thick with challenge and something else—desire.
Vala shot towards him like a rocket, her hair fluttering wildly in the wind of her own making. The Saiyans watched in awe as she moved with a speed that seemed to defy physics, the air around her crackling with crimson energy. Kade's eyes narrowed, his body coiled like a spring.
Just as Vala was about to make contact, Kade moved. He sidestepped with a grace that belied his godly might, his body a blur of motion. His foot lashed out, connecting with her stomach mid-air. The impact sent her soaring through the sky, her body contorting from the surprise and pain. The crowd gasped, and even Aria's smile faltered for a moment.
Vala's super Saiyan form wavered, the fiery aura around her fading. She managed to right herself, slamming into the dirt with enough force to send up a cloud of dust and debris. The ground trembled beneath the impact, and for a brief moment, she lay there, stunned.
"Well, that was..." she began, coughing out a mouthful of dust. "That was unexpected."
Kade hovered in the air, his expression a mix of concern and pride. He landed next to her, extending a hand. "Are you okay?"
Vala looked up at him, her eyes sparkling with excitement rather than anger. Her cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink, and she took his hand with a giggle. "More than okay!" she exclaimed, leaping to her feet. "Your power... it's incredible!"
Her enthusiasm was infectious, and the crowd around them erupted into cheers and applause. Kade chuckled, feeling a bit embarrassed by the attention. Aria rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile at their antics.
Vala's fiery spirit was something Kade had never encountered before, and he found himself drawn to her intensity. Despite his efforts to dodge her kisses, he couldn't help but appreciate her passion. "Whoa, whoa!" he exclaimed, laughing as she leaped at him again. "Take it easy, Vala!"
Her eyes shone with excitement. "I can't help it, Kade!" she yelled. "Your power... it's intoxicating! I've never seen anything like it!"
Kade, still trying to avoid her eager advances, laughed nervously. "Thanks, I guess?" He dodged another kiss, his cheeks growing redder by the second.
"Alright, enough," Aria said with a knowing smile. "Let's leave Kade to catch his breath, shall we?"
With a dramatic sigh, Vala stepped back, allowing Kade to revert to his base form. The primal aura faded, and the air grew calmer as his hair and eyes returned to their natural color and length. He took a deep breath, feeling the familiar weight of his body. The crowd dispersed, chattering excitedly about the display of power they'd just witnessed.
As Vala descended from the skies, her excitement was palpable. She was practically vibrating with energy, her eyes locked on Kade. Without warning, she launched herself at him, her arms wrapping around his neck. "Kade!" she exclaimed, her voice a mix of admiration and affection.
But gravity had other plans. The sudden weight of her body proved too much for the flimsy tube top she wore, and with an audible rip, the fabric gave way. The garment flew off, revealing her voluptuous breasts, which bounced playfully against Kade's cheeks. His eyes widened in surprise, and he stumbled backward, his face a perfect shade of crimson.
"Oh, my apologies!" Vala giggled, her cheeks flushing as she realized her wardrobe malfunction. She quickly covered herself with her arms, trying to regain some semblance of dignity.
Kade's mouth hung open for a moment before snapping shut. He'd seen his fair share of breasts in his time, but these were... divine. He couldn't help but be a little star-struck, his eyes lingering just a moment too long.
"Kade!" Aria's sharp voice sliced through his haze of distraction. "Remember your place! You're a god, not a peeping tom!"
