Leo, Liza and I went to sleep

"Indeed. Well, she might act impulsive sometimes."

"Hopefully, she will confide in us first… By the way, Mr. Takumi. After seeing you for a while now, I know that you are not the kind of person who acts selfishly or is too impulsive…but for the most part, it can apply to you as well."

"Ah… Well, I am going to hire servants soon."

"Indeed. There is only so much that you can do alone. Though, you do have Leo, and may not like relying on others too much. But you should know that the servants are always happy to help you."

"Haha…I will keep that in mind."

I was definitely not used to relying on servants. So there was a part of me that did not like asking them to do things… And Sebastian seemed to have noticed it.

"Also, you must choose from the candidates soon."

"Yes… Well, my mind is mostly made up."

The trip to Ractos had helped as well.

"That is good to hear. I look forward to seeing who you choose…. But I do not recommend Walter at all. He is so useless when riding on fenris…"

Sebastian grumbled with a sigh.

He was very harsh when it came to his son. I could only chuckle. Though, I did not feel like Walter was useless at all.

Though, Sebastian clearly knew that. He had once said that Walter could be the house steward if he had the drive.

Indeed, it was not good how he would shut down after riding on the fenrirs… But I had a feeling that he would become invaluable in the future….

Well, I would have to give it some serious thought.

It really was getting to the point where I had to make a decision…

Later, after finishing my training and taking a bath, I returned to the room.

"Alright, Leo. Everything alright?"

"Wuff."

"Mama is so fluffy…"

Liza and I were leaning against Leo.

"Now, just pull of the blanket…"

"Thanks, papa."

"For what? I just thought it would be nice to sleep against Leo for a change."

"Haha."

"Wuff."

Leo was warm enough, but I decided to use a large blanket, just in case.

Leo wagged her tail happily. She had already forgotten about the horrible bath earlier.

Though, I didn't want her to get too excited, as we were about to go to sleep.

When she was still a Maltese, I often held her and fell asleep… But now it was like the opposite…but it seemed like such a natural thing.

"Oh, Liza has already fallen asleep. Well, it was a busy day."

"Wuff…"

As I thought back to old times and petted Leo to calm her down, I heard Liza's breathing softly in her sleep.

Though, her ears twitched occasionally as if she were listening to us.

Indeed, she had cried so much that she nearly lost her voice over Mr. Reyndorf…and then played a lot at the orphanage. So she would be exhausted…
