Chapter 8: Ep 8: A Small Conflict
The evening sky over campus was painted with beautiful shades of orange, but Jimin's heart was far from at peace. He sat on a bench in the campus park, staring at his phone screen with a frustrated expression. The messages he had sent to Yoongi throughout the day remained unanswered.
"Why is he always like this?" Jimin muttered, biting his lower lip to hold back his irritation.
"Hyung, why are you spacing out here?" Jungkook's cheerful voice broke the silence. He arrived with two bottles of juice and immediately handed one to Jimin.
Jimin let out a long sigh. "Yoongi hyung is so unpredictable. Sometimes he seems like he cares, but other times, it's like he's in a completely different world."
Jungkook sat beside him, sipping his juice calmly. "Yoongi hyung has always been that way. He's not the type to express his feelings easily."
"But I'm tired, Kook," Jimin said, his voice weak. "I don't know what to do. I want to understand him, but every time I try to get closer, he pulls away."
Jungkook patted Jimin's shoulder gently. "Hyung, if you really like Yoongi hyung, you have to be patient. I'm sure he needs time to understand himself too, especially when it comes to feelings."
Jimin nodded slowly, though his heart still felt heavy. "I know, but it's hard, Kook. It feels like I'm the only one fighting for this."
Jungkook gave him a small smile. "You're not alone. I'm sure Yoongi hyung notices more than you think. You just haven't seen it yet."

In the practice hall, the atmosphere felt more awkward than usual. Jimin tried to focus on his training, but he couldn't ignore the presence of Yoongi, who sat calmly in front of the piano.
"Jimin," Yoongi suddenly called.
Jimin turned around, trying to hide his frustration. "What is it, hyung?"
Yoongi stood up from his seat and walked towards Jimin, his expression serious. "Your movements were too stiff earlier. You need to relax more."
Jimin took a deep breath, trying to control his emotions. "I know, hyung. I'll try again."
Yoongi gazed at Jimin longer than usual, as if he wanted to say something, but he chose to stay silent. Instead, he returned to his piano and began playing a soft melody—one that was familiar to Jimin's ears.
Even though he was upset, Jimin couldn't ignore the warmth that spread through him as he listened to the tune. He knew this was Yoongi's way of encouraging him, in a way that only the two of them understood.

That night, in his room, Jimin sat on the floor with his phone lying beside him. His mind kept circling around, trying to understand Yoongi's complicated emotions.
Suddenly, his phone vibrated—a message from Yoongi:
"Have you had dinner?"
Jimin blinked at the screen before typing his reply: "Not yet, hyung."
A moment later, another message came in: "Don't forget to eat. Take care of your health. We have to train harder tomorrow."
Though the message was simple, Jimin's heart felt lighter. A small smile formed on his lips as he realized that, in his own way, Yoongi was still looking out for him.

Meanwhile, in his own room, Yoongi stared at his phone screen with a conflicted expression. His last message to Jimin was still displayed, and for a while, he just stared at it without doing anything.
Yoongi let out a long sigh, lost in thought. "Why do you make everything so difficult, Jimin?" he murmured softly.
But deep down, he already knew the answer. He just wasn't ready to face it—to admit that Jimin was slowly becoming an important part of his once-lonely world.
