Chapter 81
“Eek.”
As I flailed my arms to push away the person blocking my view, my sight finally cleared up.
“Who are you?”
My younger sister asked in a menacing tone, standing in front of me.
The positioning seemed a little off, but the person who rushed at me didn’t seem to have any intention of attacking, so I watched from behind.
“Hello!! Are you perhaps Baraa-nim’s sister??!… Oh, no, wait, ahem.”
The woman took a deep breath and bowed her head.
“I’m sorry… I got too excited. Meeting someone I’ve only seen on broadcasts every day is already incredible… but to see you using our outfits too…”
“Our outfits…? Could it be…?”
When I asked with a sinking feeling, the woman standing before me shook her head vehemently.
I heard running sounds from ahead again and turned slightly to check, spotting Si-ha staggering toward us, completely exhausted.
I observed for a few seconds as Si-ha arrived, grabbed his knees, and panted heavily.
“Why are you so late?”
“It’s not that… It’s you who… ran disgustingly fast… haah…”
Si-ha let out a breath that I couldn’t tell was a sigh or a deep inhale, then began guiding us.
Min-young’s expression seemed to shift from caution to irritation, but she said she was fine, so we continued skirting around the large crowd, moving toward the outer edges of the event hall.
“For now… since that lady sprinted off, we need to circle to the opposite side. Over there, the competition participants are waiting, doing things like costumes, makeup, and special effects. The event with the most participants today is the shooting tournament… You’re not planning to enter, right?”
“…How much time is left?”
“About 2–3 hours.”
“…Your real sister? I thought you only had a brother?”
As far as I knew, Si-ha only had one loud older brother named Yoon Gae. When I visited their house for a stream previously, I hadn’t seen any traces of anyone else.
“She’s… an elder where I work.”
“Senior, you idiot!”
“Anyway, she’s a close sister-like figure. She watches Twitch every chance she gets, so you’ve probably seen her nickname a lot. She’s donated quite a bit too.”
“Ohhh… thank you!”
Meeting viewers who had not only watched me but also donated was always a surreal experience.
Even in cafes, encountering customers who told me they enjoyed my streams gave me a strange sense of wonder.
“Hahaha! Thanks to that, I’m broke! I’m Geum Seol-hwa! You can just call me Seol-hwa!”
After chatting for a while, we arrived at the back of the event hall, where a large door with a “No Entry Except for Authorized Personnel” sign stood.
Nearby, managers and organizers were on the phone, checking costumes or warming up.
“Come in!”
Seol-hwa confidently opened the door and stepped inside.
I naturally followed, bringing along my sister, with Si-ha and Chocoa trailing behind.
“Wow, it’s much bigger than I expected…”
The area was set up with dozens of spaces for competition participants, similar to the booths in the main hall.
Although smaller than the main event area, it was just as noisy and chaotic.
“Come this way.”
Following Seol-hwa, we lifted a white curtain and entered a space resembling a clothing store.
There were countless outfits lined up, as if hundreds of styles were waiting their turn.
Of course, unlike a regular clothing store, most of these clothes weren’t exactly normal.
Though there were some ordinary items—a brown coat perfect for fall, or plain suits—most of the clothes here were unusual.
Frilly maid outfits with minimal fabric, extravagant dresses that seemed centuries out of fashion, and swimsuits so skimpy they barely qualified as clothing—there were too many strange things.
“Just a moment!”
Seol-hwa passed by the racks of clothes and headed to a corner stacked with boxes.
Si-ha muttered something about helping out and went over to assist her, leaving us to explore the space on our own.
“This is really fascinating…”
Chocoa expressed her amazement and curiosity, running her fingers over the different clothes.
For some reason, Min-young kept darting around, alternately glancing at me and a particular outfit before quickly moving through the tent.
I strolled slowly, following behind Chocoa.
“You’re cosplaying as a Lesik character, right?”
“Uh… yes.”
Chocoa hesitated briefly, then quickly walked toward where Seol-hwa and Si-ha were working.
She returned to me shortly afterward, her steps slightly quicker than usual, which made her seem endearingly excited.
“They said you can try them on, as long as you put them back afterward. Is there anything you want to wear?”
“What…?”

Lee Min-young POV
Min-young was a devoted romantic—a die-hard romantic, in fact.
Beside her stood her sister, who was alone in her love-struck state.
“Hmm…”
But there was a problem. Such one-sided affection couldn’t truly be called romantic.
Although Min-young had grown closer to her sister, there was still something missing in their relationship.
Minyoung thought the missing piece was style.
Her sister didn’t wear makeup, wasn’t interested in it, and felt no need for it.
Her clothes were always simple—a T-shirt and jeans, or other comfortable pants.
Of course, her sister looked stunning and beautiful, even without makeup, but Min-young believed that adding makeup and pretty outfits would double that beauty’s impact.
To push their stagnant relationship further, Min-young picked out an outfit.
“…Perfect.”
Most of the cosplay clothes were for women, giving her an overwhelming number of choices, and she almost suffered from decision paralysis.
But she eventually found the perfect outfit.
Slipping closer, she approached Ga-young, who was wearing a similar coat to her sister’s, but one that exuded elegance and maturity.

Lee Su-yeon POV
“What?”
As the familiar sound of Min-young’s footsteps drew nearer from behind, I turned to look and asked, prompting her to flinch noticeably and freeze in place.
In one hand, she was holding a camera, while the other was hidden behind her back, so I started moving slowly to see what she was hiding.
“Uh… u-unnie, your coat is cute…”
“It’s… not bad, but it’s too big. So, what are you hiding? Is it clothes?”
Each time Min-young and I moved in opposite directions, I could glimpse a large white garment peeking out from behind them.
“Unnie… You said earlier that you’d grant me a wish, right…?”
After circling a few times, she finally spoke up.
“Y-yeah…?”
A sudden wave of unease washed over me.
“….Wear this for me.”
What she carefully revealed from behind her back were two pure white wedding dresses.
“….Why on earth…”
“Did you find them? You’re going to wear this?”
Seol-hwa looked at me expectantly, while I stared at Min-young. She quickly scurried over to Chocoa and whispered something in her ear.
“Why… why is something like that here?”
I asked, dumbfounded, and Seol-hwa let out an “Ahhh~” before explaining.
“This… um… I think it’s from The Two-Part Bride or something like that. But there’s so much here, even I can’t remember everything.”
Indeed, there was an overwhelming amount of items.
“Did you carry all this by yourself?”
“Ah… yeah. Originally, Si-ha and someone else were supposed to help, but that guy bailed on me… Haha… That bastard, Geum Tae-yang, who’s nothing but tattooed trash… But you know, at big events like this, renting out clothes earns a lot of money, so it’s worth it!”
I couldn’t catch the middle part where she muttered, but the loud parts were more than clear.
“Su-yeon, do you want to try it on?”
Chocoa held one of the dresses against my body and asked. Seeing my sister hiding behind Chocoa while looking at me, I replied.
“I’m not treating you to anything tasty.”
“Ugh…”
Her eyes wavered wildly, but she nodded firmly, her expression now resolute. I was curious why she was making such a serious face over something like this, but I really didn’t want to do it.
“Um… this is a bit…”
“I’ll wear it with you.”
“Sounds good.”
I mean, how could I refuse when my favorite person was offering to wear the same outfit as me? Without hesitation, I took the outfit and examined it.
“…..”
A clean, pristine white dress with no specks of dust or foreign matter, its long skirt nearly brushing the floor. Its off-shoulder design was a slight flaw, but that was fine.
“Si-ha! Step out for a moment. I need to admire something nice.”
Si-ha gave Seol-hwa a weird look but left the tent, and Seol-hwa compared the dresses to our bodies before walking back to the boxes.
“It’s a dress, but it’s a cosplay dress! It’s much easier to put on and take off compared to normal ones, so it won’t take long! With makeup and getting it on, maybe 30 minutes? And for the Lesik character you’re doing later, you just need to wear the combat uniform and carry the gun, so it won’t take much time at all. We have plenty of room in the schedule! Come over here!!”
“Little sister! Can you do makeup, by any chance? I don’t have enough hands!”
“I’ll do it!”
While Seol-hwa rummaged through boxes, Chocoa took a seat at the makeup corner arranged on one side.
“Unnie, are you okay?”
“…Maybe?”
The incredibly simple makeup and hair styling, which took less than 10 minutes, were done in no time. We were then placed in front of a plain white wall set up for photos.
As we awkwardly stood there, Seol-hwa brought over a high-quality camera and a large lighting device.
“Just testing for now, okay? Strike any pose!”
“W-what?!”
Click!
“…Um… Could I keep today’s photos for personal use?”
“…..”
“Alright! Testing’s done, so now you just need to change clothes! I’ll turn around for a bit, so go behind those boxes to get changed. Here, take these…”
Seol-hwa handed us the outfits along with two small brown circles and what looked like long stockings.
“What are these?”
“Shaping undergarments!”
