Chapter 16: Secret Matters of the Night (Part 2)

"There's no room for RyuZU. What should we do?"

Aqua was the first to throw the question out. This idiot goddess was always sharp when it came to strange issues, and she often blurted them out without any sense of tact or subtlety.

RyuZU tilted her head slightly and said softly, "It is fine if there is no room. Unlike lower-class lifeforms such as humans, I do not require sleep. I can simply remain on standby in the living room to serve you all."

She was a mechanical automaton; she didn't need to sleep. But to the others, it sounded like RyuZU wanted to stay in the empty main hall.

"What nonsense are you talking about!"

Megumin slammed the table and stood up. "How can a person not sleep? Besides, there's no sofa in the living room for someone to lie on. Are you going to sleep on the cold, hard floor?"

It was early spring, and the nights were still chilly. Common sense dictated that no one would sleep on the floor. She still didn't know that RyuZU was a mechanical automaton.

Just as Kobayashi was about to explain, Megumin spoke again. "Our party will not let you be wronged! Even if you are a robot, you will have your own room!"

Darkness made a concession. "Why don't I share a room with Megumin? With her size and mine, squeezing onto one bed shouldn't be a problem."

Megumin, however, felt she had been insulted. "What do you mean by that? Are you saying I'm small? Are you trying to say I'm a flat board with no curves?!"

Having figured it out, Megumin sat back down.

In a moment when the others weren't looking, a sly grin appeared on Kazuma's face. He then secretly gave Kobayashi a thumbs up, as if to say that he was the best teammate.

This guy is definitely just trying to stir up trouble.

Letting RyuZU stay at an inn was clearly impossible, and making the others squeeze into one bed was also unfair. After thinking it over, the only option left was for her to share a room with Kobayashi. Kazuma must have thought of this, which was why he deliberately let Kobayashi make the decision.

Megumin came from a poor family and didn't have a maid. Seeing Darkness nod, she believed what Satou Kazuma said.

And so, everyone returned to their respective rooms, welcoming the first night in their new base.

Night.

Darkness was at her desk, writing a letter home.

It had been a month since she left home. Although the Dustiness family mansion was also in this town, she had not returned, nor had she contacted her family. She was preparing to tell them about finding a party, making friends, and moving into a new home.

Suddenly, she heard someone talking.

The walls of the new base were a bit thin. Although some sneaky activities could be hidden by the walls, sounds could not. Some noisy sounds would still travel to the next room.

And next door to Darkness was Kobayashi!

C-could it be...?!

With a strange feeling in her heart, she quietly moved to her bed, lay down, and pressed her ear against the wall to eavesdrop.

Darkness's eyes widened. It was just as she had thought! Kobayashi couldn't control his desires and was going to make a move on that cute, silver-haired maid, Miss RyuZU?!

A rustling sound came through the wall. Needless to say, they must be taking off their clothes.

"You're very beautiful, RyuZU."

"Thank you for your praise, Master Kobayashi."

It seems he's praising her body.

Darkness felt her body temperature begin to rise, a blush appearing on her cheeks. A forbidden image surfaced in her mind. She often fantasized about her own father doing such things with other maids, but unfortunately, her father was too righteous and would never do anything to damage the dignity of a noble.

But Kobayashi was different. He was a lewd adventurer!

However, her panting was a bit loud and had already caught Kobayashi's attention.

He stopped what he was doing.

"Master Kobayashi?"

"I feel like someone is peeping."

Hearing Kobayashi's words, Darkness immediately clamped her hands over her mouth, not letting herself make a sound. Even as her face turned red from holding her breath, she didn't let go.

"...Master Kobayashi?"
