'Another mission with no rewards…' Jin snorted when he read through the mission panel.
However, since Jin too was interested in finding out where exactly these gems were being shipped, he did as the mission directed and sneaked behind one of the crates.
The men soon returned from their smoking break, and after a last-minute check of the goods, they started the boat.
The sound of the rotating propeller was clear for Jin to hear as the shop soon made its way away from the harbour and towards the sea.
In an hour's time, they had ventured almost twelve nautical miles deep and finally started slowing down.
Sounds of men shouting and ropes falling on the deck entered Jin's ears.
From the fresh set of sounds, Jin could guess that there was another vessel beside them.
A while later, when the two vessels were properly aligned for ship-to-ship transfer, men started coming down and took one crate after another upstairs.
Jin sneakily followed after them. Outside, he saw a much larger vessel just beside the fishing boat.
It was a research vessel, and on its mast, a flag belonging to Roscosta was waving in the night breeze.
Through a platform, the men were carrying crates and placing them on the deck of the other ship.
Jin discreetly crouched behind them and, using the advantage of dim lights, he reached the research vessel.
Like a flexible cat, he jumped and, with the help of a few gaps and metal protrudings, climbed up to the bridge.
From there, he looked down on the shady dealings which was taking place.
The captain of the research vessel took stock of all the crates, and finally, after confirming the numbers, he paid the fishermen three bags filled with paper money.
"See you next month," the captain said, shaking hands with the leader of the small group after completing the deal.
"Haha, definitely," the gang member grinned and took his hand.
A while later, the fishing vessel soon undocked itself from the research vessel and went its own way.
"All right, men, keep these crates in the storehouse and let's call it a day. We need to depart early tomorrow," the captain clapped and mobilised his crew to hurry up.
They all did it with no annoyance as they were going to get a cutout for this deal soon.
Excited and filled with expectations, they carefully carried the crates to the storehouse and went to their rooms to rest, except for a few who were on night watch.
Jin followed the captain to his cabin, and before he could turn around and close the door, Jin kicked his back heavily, and he fell face first.
"W-whatt!!" he exclaimed as his face landed on the floor.
The next moment, the captain heard the sound of his door locking and turned around.
A masked man wearing a dark set of clothing was standing behind him.
Phasst!
A bullet pierced the flooring right beside the captain's head.
"Make a noise, and the next time it would be your head. Just answer when I ask you a question, understand?" Jin glared at the captain.
The captain was too shocked to answer, and seeing this, Jin went forward and shoved the pistol's barrel in his mouth.
"I asked, do you understand?"
"MHMMmmmumm," the captain made muffled sounds as a fearful expression took over his face.
When Jin removed the barrel from his mouth, the man started pleading for his life, "Please don't kill me! I was only doing it for the money … just take those things if you want to. I don't want to die…"
'This might be easier than I thought.' With this in his mind, Jin proceeded to ask the man some questions.
"What's inside those crates? I'll go check on them, so don't try to act smart," Jin glared.
"C-Control Gems!..." the man cried out.
"What are they used for? And by whom? This time, try to answer with more detail," Jin asked his next question.
"With its help one can manipulate people through means of lust…but since they cost a lot and need to keep on being replaced, only the rich use it…
…that's why I agreed to do this exchange…those people were paying me double my yearly salary for just this one exchange."
Fearing Jin's cold, ruthless gaze, the man blurted out everything he knew.
A stench suddenly entered Jin's nose, and he turned downwards. The man's trousers were all soaked with urine.
'At least I can be sure that he isn't lying,' Jin snorted his nose and proceeded to ask the last question.
"Who are these people and who do they work for?"
"I-I don't kno-"
Phsst!
Jin shot another bullet, which embedded itself in the steel deck with a high ringing sound.
"I swear! I don't know! They only told me to bring the goods if I wanted money. I didn't dare to probe further since they had guns," the man cries out.
"So you don't know…" Jin muttered.
"Yes! That's wha-" before the man could continue further, Jin pressed a point on his neck and he lost his consciousness.
"Sleep peacefully until morning, then," Jin muttered to himself.
At this moment, his follow-up mission was updated once again.

There was a new item in the store, just like he had thought.
However, when he looked at the price and multiplied it by thirty, he couldn't help but snort at home how cheap the system was.
"Just change ur name to miser system already…' Jin thought as he exited the captain's cabin and made his way towards the storehouse.
There were only three people on night watch, so it was very easy for Jin to avoid them.
Inside the storehouse, he bought a tracker from the system.
It was the size of a small black button. From the instructions the system inputted in his mind when he bought it, he needed to press it twice and stick it onto a surface.
Jin opened a crate and stuck the tracker to its side.
The next moment, at the top right corner of Jin's vision, a small map appeared. On it, there was a red dot that kept on blinking.
'Now this is interesting,' Jin thought and one by one he placed the tracking device inside the crates.
When the last one was planted, he finally received a mission stating that the mission was completed.
"Let's go then," Jin mutters with a sigh and gets out of the storehouse.
He first subdued the three men on duty and then lowered the rescue boat.
BROOOOOM!
The engine was soon started, and the next moment, Jin pulled the boat's throttle forward and left for the shore.
