“It’s nothing serious, just a casual chit-chat. It won’t end up in the final cut.”

She hesitated for a moment, then said: “I’ve recently met Miss Xue and it’s my first time working with Teacher Huang.” She made sure to point out that she wasn’t close with either of them, to avoid any potential criticism or scandal.

“Yesterday, during filming, Miss Du stormed onto the set and slapped Miss Xue right off the bat. Teacher Huang and Miss Xue immediately clarified their relationship, but Miss Du didn’t believe them and walked away in a huff.”

She didn’t embellish the events, she simply recounted what had happened. She was careful not to exaggerate or mention that there had been rumors about Huang and Xue being in a relationship.

The interviewer pressed on: “Why would Miss Du do that?”

“When she arrived, we were filming a romantic scene, and she must have misunderstood. Teacher Huang tried to explain, but we were so busy filming till late at night and then…”

Xiang Yirou knew this part wouldn’t make it into the final cut, but it would certainly be used for promotional purposes.

As expected, this section was soon edited into a blooper reel and posted on Weibo, and as usual, it quickly climbed up the trending list.

Even though Xiang Yirou didn’t say anything too controversial, it stirred enough discussion; particularly regarding the slap. Xiang Yirou explained it as a misunderstanding during a romantic scene, but Huang Mi had filmed even more intimate scenes with Du Sui in the past seven years without Du ever causing a fuss. The fact that she slapped Xue Feifei without hesitation, indicates that Du Sui may have heard rumors, or Xue Feifei might have stepped out of line.

Huang Mi might be innocent, but Xue Feifei definitely has issues. Just like those bitchy second female leads she often portrays, always sticking to the male lead like glue.

Indeed, after seeing Xiang Yiro’s clip, Huang Mi’s team didn’t bother to pay to remove it from the trending list. Since Xiang Yiro’s statement didn’t implicate him, there was no need to waste money on taking it down.
