My Ice-King : Hanamitchi

Chapter 50: chapter 50

A door bell echoed through the door.

"Babee… can you check who is it?"

Cin (playfully):

"Okay, babe. But if it's a salesman again, I swear—"

He padded to the door and opened it.

Standing before him was a man in a crisp black suit, face blank, eyes hidden behind dark glasses—even at night. The man exuded formality, but also… something colder.

Cin (brows raised):

"Yes? How may I help you, sir?"

Black Suit Man (calm, robotic):

"Good evening. I was instructed to deliver this."

He handed over a black envelope—sleek, sealed with no label.

No name.

No return address.

Cin (frowning):

"Wait—who sent—?"

But the man had already turned on his heel, walking down the hallway and disappearing like a ghost.

Rakki (walking over):

"Who was it?"

Cin (holding the envelope):

"He just handed this. Didn't say much."

Cin handed the envelope to Rakki, who stared at it for a moment. His expression shifted—familiarity, suspicion… maybe even dread.

The envelope was heavy in his hand.

Too heavy for a simple letter.

Too silent for a harmless message.

Rakki carefully peeled open the mysterious envelope, the black paper sliding out smoothly between his fingers. It shimmered under the warm apartment light—a deep obsidian card with intricate gold foiling.

At the center, elegantly inscribed:

Mr. Yuri Hanamitchi

 weds

Miss Y/N Fernandez

Cin leaned closer, eyes widening.

Cin (gasping):

"No way—Y/N?! Yuri?!"

Rakki blinked, then broke into a slow grin.

Rakki:

"I knew he was gonna lock it down one day… but damn, this? This is royal."

The black and gold invitation sparkled like something sacred—not just a wedding, but a union of dynasties. Even the paper felt heavier, luxurious like velvet.

Cin twirled in place, holding the envelope dramatically.

Cin:

"I need an outfit. No—a new life! We're attending the wedding of the power couple of the year!"

Rakki (laughing):

"Better start looking like we belong there. This isn't just a ceremony—this is a coronation."

They both looked at the invitation again, hearts swelling with excitement and pride.

Cin stood by the window, the city lights glowing in the distance. The golden edges of the invitation caught the glint of the moonlight on the table behind him.

He wrapped his arms around himself, smiling softly—not from surprise anymore, but from something deeper.

Cin (quietly, to himself):

"I'm so happy…"

Rakki, now sitting on the couch with a drink in hand, looked up.

Cin turned to him, eyes shining with gentle emotion.

Cin (smiling nostalgically):

"For a long time… I didn't catch up with them. Life just kept spinning. But now…"

"My childhood friend… is about to get married."

He chuckled softly, shaking his head.

Cin sighed contentedly, walking over and sitting beside him.

Cin:

"It's like… watching a fairytale unfold from the first page all the way to the proposal."

He picked up the invitation again, running his fingers along the gold lettering.

Cin:

"They deserve it. After everything. After losing Mr. Fernandez, the company chaos, everything Yuri fought for… this is their moment. And I'll be there to cheer the loudest."

Rakki (putting an arm around him):

"And I'll be there to make sure you don't cry in the middle of the ceremony."

Cin (laughing):

"No promises."

The phone buzzed on the coffee table.

Cin, still holding the invitation and sipping tea in his oversized hoodie, raised a brow at the "Unknown Caller ID" flashing on the screen.

He picked it up curiously.

Cin:

"Hello?"

And then—that unmistakable voice.

Y/N (playfully teasing):

"Hellooooo, Cin babyyyy~"

(mocking with love, full of nostalgia)

Cin (instantly exploding with joy):

"HEYYYYYYYYYY!!!"

His eyes widened, lips trembling. The sound of her voice pulled open memories he thought were tucked away—childhood mischief, garden games, teenage secrets whispered under blankets.

Y/N (laughing):

"Did you get the invitation? Or should I have sent a pigeon instead?"

Cin (his voice cracking):

"Damn, Y/N… You really did it…"

He couldn't help it—his throat tightened, and tears welled up.

Before he could even gather himself, Rakki swiped the phone playfully.

Rakki (grinning into the phone):

"Y/N! Congratulations! Cin here's a wreck—he's crying harder than I did at Titanic."

From the other end, Y/N burst into laughter.

Y/N (softly):

"Tell him I miss him. And I'm saving him a seat right next to me after the ceremony."

Rakki (glancing at Cin):

"He heard that. Now he's crying into a pillow."

Y/N:

"Good. That means it's real."

Rakki, sensing the gravity in Cin's voice, gently tapped the screen and set the call to loudspeaker. The room filled with a soft echo of Y/N's quiet breathing on the other end.

Cin clutched the phone with both hands, knuckles tight, voice shaking with years of guilt and unspoken love.

Cin (choked up):

"Y/N… I'm sorry, okay? I wanted to come see you… but I saw the news. Everything that happened. The takeover. Your father. The company… the chaos."

His voice cracked.

"I thought—maybe I didn't belong in your world anymore. I was just someone from the past."

A heavy silence lingered.

Rakki moved closer and wrapped an arm gently around Cin's shoulder, anchoring him. His presence was warm and steady, a quiet strength. He didn't say anything—just let Cin speak. Let him feel.

Cin (barely above a whisper):

"But I missed you. So much. And I never stopped being proud of you, Y/N. Never."

On the speaker, there was a soft breath. Then—

Y/N (gentle, but firm):

"Cin… you are part of my world. You never left. Just because the rooms got bigger, doesn't mean I stopped saving a seat for you."

Her voice trembled too.

Y/N:

"I looked for you after my father's funeral. I waited. But I also understood… sometimes the past hurts too much to face. I get it. But hearing your voice now—it means everything."

Cin wiped his eyes, laughing softly through his tears.

Rakki (smiling):

"Told you she'd still want you, drama queen."

Y/N (teasing):

"You're both idiots. But you're my idiots."

They all laughed. The kind of laugh that comes after a storm—the kind that heals.

The soft laughter slowly faded into a tender silence—the kind that only comes between friends who've rediscovered each other after years apart.

Then Y/N's voice returned, a little playful, a little emotional:

Y/N:

"Sooo… will you come early, right? Like—before the wedding chaos hits? I need you here. A whole week before, Cin. No excuses."

Cin (wiping his cheeks):

"One week? Babe, I'm coming tomorrow if I could teleport!"

Y/N (grinning through the line):

"Good. Because I need help picking flowers, yelling at the planner, and reminding me not to trip down the aisle."

Rakki (loud and proud):

"We'll come for sureeeee!"

He threw an arm up in victory, making Cin laugh again.

Rakki:

"We'll fly out first thing Monday. We'll be there to help, cry, party, and witness history."

Y/N:

"Perfect. I missed you guys so much it hurts. Can't wait to see you."

Cin:

"Same here… This time, I'll be there. For every second of it."

The call ended not with a goodbye, but with a promise.

Fernandez Residents

The sun filtered gently through the tall windows of the Fernandez estate, casting soft shadows over the polished floors. The once intimidating mansion now felt warmer, more like a home waiting to welcome back old laughter.

A black SUV rolled into the driveway. The moment the engine stopped, the doors opened.

Cin stepped out in a loose cream hoodie, faded jeans, and sneakers that had clearly survived a few emotional breakdowns. His hair was slightly messy from the trip, and his eyes darted around the massive property with both awe and disbelief.

Rakki followed in a simple linen shirt, sleeves rolled, and comfy cargo pants. He pulled down his sunglasses with a grin, letting out a low whistle.

Rakki:

"Looks like we are in fairyland ?"

Just then, the front doors creaked open—and there she was.

Y/N.

No corporate aura, no CEO heels. Just a soft oversized cardigan, tucked tank top, and loose jogger pants. Her hair was in a messy low bun, and she was barefoot.

She looked like home.

Cin (under his breath):

"There she is."

She spotted them—and her breath caught.

Without a word, Y/N sprinted down the steps, nearly tripping over her cardigan sleeve.

Cin dropped his bag. Rakki stepped back, smiling.

She threw her arms around Cin, burying her face in his shoulder.

Y/N (voice cracking):

"You really came… finally."

Cin (hugging her tight):

"I'm so sorry it took so long."

She pulled back just enough to smack him lightly on the arm.

Y/N:

"Next time you disappear for two years, I'm personally flying over to drag you home."

They both laughed—half joy, half relief.

Then she turned to Rakki, pulling him into a tight hug.

Y/N (smiling):

"You must be the emotional support boyfriend now, huh?"

Rakki (grinning):

"Someone had to keep him alive and caffeinated."

From the balcony above, Yuri leaned over the railing, arms crossed, wearing a plain white tee and joggers, a towel around his neck from a workout. He smiled, watching her glow again.

Yuri (calling out):

"Can I come down now or is this a no-men-allowed hug fest?"

Y/N (laughing):

"Get down here, Romeo!"

They laughed. Hugged. Ate homemade foods in the sunroom.

And just like that… the house was filled again with the purest kind of joy—one that only comes from real friends reuniting in the most human way.

[Scene: Fernandez Residence – Later That Evening, in the Lounge]

The four of them lounged around the sunken couch with dim lighting casting a soft amber glow. Empty teacups and snack bowls sat scattered across the marble coffee table. Laughter filled the room—memories flowing as if they'd never been apart.

Yuri, freshly showered and now in a loose black tee and gray joggers, stretched his arms behind his head, eyes twinkling with a teasing edge.

Yuri:

"Okay guys… before we dive into all that 'I do' drama…"

Everyone glanced up.

Yuri (grinning):

"I want all of us—including my boys Keifer, David, and of course, our genius hacker Felix—to go on a trip together. No work. No stress. Just good old chaos and bonding."

Y/N nodded, curling up beside him, head on his shoulder.

Y/N:

"We've planned this for a while… it's our way of breathing before the big day. Think of it as a pre-wedding escape—before the vows, the wine, and the embarrassing dance moves."

Cin (eyes wide):

"Wait… you mean like, a full-blown getaway?"

Rakki (raising an eyebrow):

"Where are we going? Somewhere tropical? Somewhere we might get arrested for laughing too hard?"

Yuri (smirking):

"Not telling yet. It's a surprise. Bags packed, passports ready. We leave tomorrow afternoon."

Y/N:

"Just bring your best fits, swim shorts, and zero drama."

Cin (gasps):

"Oh my god, this is like one of those reality show bachelor group vacations… but with fewer fake people and more snacks."

Rakki:

"Or more fake people… if Felix brings his deepfake software again."

They all laughed.

[Cut to: Group Chat Notification – "Operation Chaos Before Wedding" Created]

Yuri,Y/N,Cin,Rakki,Felix,Keifer,David

Yuri renamed the group: "The Inner Circle – No Snitches"

Felix reacted with: "100 emoji"

Messages buzzed in rapid succession. The group chat was alive again—like college days, but now with bigger wallets, deeper bonds, and wilder stories.

Keifer:

"Hellooooo long time no see, guys. We're about to reunite again! Let's gooo!"

David:

"Let's not waste the jokes here. Save it for the actual meeting. I want raw reactions only."

Felix:

"Uhm… Yuri, Y/N… can I bring my girlfriend?"

Yuri:

"Of course, bro. Just make sure she can handle our chaos."

Y/N:

"Wooooaahhh!! FeliXXXX got a girlfriend?? The apocalypse is near."

Cin:

"Heeyyyyyy whatttt?! Since when did Felix stop dating his keyboard??"

Rakki:

"We need receipts. Photos. Background check. Astrological compatibility."

Keifer:

"Okayyy if Felix's bringing someone, then I'll bring someone too. Gotta balance the table."

Y/N:

"Keifer, don't bring your gym crush. We don't want the protein shake smell at the bonfire."

Keifer:

"Rude. She's not my gym crush .. "

Yuri (laughing):

"Since when did you guys date .. why didnt you lemme know"

Keifer:

"Bro, we hinted. We gave you signs. We didn't forbid you… BUT…"

"You walked around like a ghost when Y/N disappeared. The man was literally clocking in and out of life."

Keifer (text):

"And THEN—boom. Y/N comes back and suddenly Yuri's walking around like he's in a Dior commercial, blinded by love, reborn like a phoenix in Gucci."

David:

"Bro went from grayscale to full-blown Technicolor romance drama."

Y/N (laughing reply):

"Okay okay okay stop roasting my man!! But also… facts."

Yuri (finally replying):

"LMAO you all jealous because my love story came back stronger than your gym memberships."

Keifer:

"Whatever helps you sleep, loverboy."

David:

"Ow okayyyy… guess I'm not coming alone either."

Y/N:

"HOLD UP. David too?!!"

Felix:

"It's giving… power trip with plus-ones."

Cin:

"It's giving reunion of the decade. Can't wait to meet all your better halves."

Rakki:

"May the vacation gods protect us all."
