But a wall of gold dust rose in her path, blocking her escape.

"Sorry, you can't leave just yet. I still need you to undo the seal on the Dragon Vein. In return, I'll take care of this traitor from Sunagakure, who has come from the future."

The Queen of Rōran's eyes widened as the truth dawned on her.

"So that's it… Kazekage of Sunagakure, you didn't come to save me—you came for the Dragon Vein's power, didn't you?"

Rasa turned to face her, his expression calm, yet there was a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"What else? Did you think I was here to rescue you because I found you beautiful and wanted to be your hero?"

The Queen of Rōran was stunned for a brief moment before her face quickly transformed into anger.

Still, the Queen of Rōran couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Why were there no guards in sight beneath the high tower where the Rōran royal palace stood?

She scanned her surroundings, desperately searching for someone who might help her rescue her daughter, Sara. But no matter where she looked, not a single soul was visible.

"What's going on here?"

Sweat began to shower on her forehead when Rasa answered her query.

"It's simple. As queen, you've long been rendered powerless by your minister. Remember the guards and citizens you've been seeing? They were nothing more than puppets he created for you."

The Queen's eyes widened in disbelief as she took in his words.

"That's impossible! The people of Rōran… they're real! They're living, breathing beings! There's no way they're puppets. It must be Mukade…"

She stammered, trying to hold onto her understanding of the world around her, but Rasa didn't want to show her any delusions.

Suddenly, the ground began to tremble beneath them. A roar, filled with rage and fury, echoed throughout the entire Kingdom of Rōran.

With a deafening explosion, the earth split into multiple sections, cracking open like a massive wound. From these newly formed fissures, something monstrous began to rise—a terrifying fusion of scorpion and centipede, towering dozens of meters high. It loomed before them, its size rivalling that of a tailed beast, its furious roar shaking the very foundation of the kingdom.

"Behold my ultimate puppet technique, Fourth Kazekage!"

The roar reverberated throughout Rōran, shaking buildings and unsettling the very earth itself.

"This can't be…"

The Queen of Rōran was stunned as she gazed at the colossal puppet. The overwhelming chakra radiating from it left her speechless.

"I sealed the Dragon Vein! Mukade shouldn't be able to access its chakra anymore unless…"

But as the words left her lips, a sudden realization dawned on her. Her beautiful eyes widened in horror.

She spun around to face Rasa, her face draining of color as a cold chill swept over her.

"Oh no! I only sealed the Dragon Vein that powered Mukade's puppet factory. The true source of the Dragon Vein is still supplying him with chakra!"

Rasa simply blinked in surprise, his mind processing the new information. This revelation meant that the Queen of Rōran had outlived her usefulness. She was no longer essential to his plans.

Meanwhile, Mukade, now fully transformed into the monstrous creature, let out a triumphant laugh.

"Hehehe! So, you've figured it out, Your Majesty. Did you really think I hadn't planned for this? Fourth Kazekage, you'll pay for everything you've done!"

At that moment, two members of Rasa's secret mobile unit arrived, drawn by the chaos. They froze in shock as they took in the sight of the towering creature.

"What… is that?"

"Lord Kazekage!"

Without turning around, Rasa calmly issued his orders.

"From now on, follow this queen's command. Focus on evacuating the civilians of this country. Leave this big guy to me."

The two ninjas exchanged uncertain glances before looking at the Queen of Rōran.

"As you command, Lord Kazekage!" they said, bowing slightly.

The Queen of Rōran, still trying to grasp the situation, stood frozen in place. Rasa, not about to let them waste time, addressed her directly.

"Forget about the seal for now. I'll take care of this monster. You focus on rescuing your people from Mukade's grasp before they're caught in the crossfire."

The Queen of Rōran blinked, snapping out of her stupor. Glancing from the monstrous puppet to Rasa's unshaken demeanor, she felt a mix of gratitude and awe.

"I understand. Thank you!"

She said, her voice filled with a strange, new respect. She then turned to the two ninjas.

"Please, follow me!"

Once the trio had left, Rasa crossed his arms, a confident smirk playing on his lips as he regarded the massive puppet before him.

"Ultimate puppet technique? Let's see what gives you the confidence to make such grandiose claims."

Seeing Rasa remain so calm and composed in the face of his ultimate creation, Mukade seethed with fury.

The colossal puppet opened its gaping maw, its pincers snapping like a scorpion's, and from within, it unleashed a torrent of purple flames, roaring from the pipes embedded in its body.

"Dragon Vein: Grand Dragon Flame!"

This was Mukade's enhanced version of Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu, now powered by the chakra of the Dragon Vein. Its increased energy amplified both its heat and range, making it far more destructive.

"Oh!"

Rasa's eyes sparkled with interest, a flash of recognition crossing his mind. The technique reminded him of his recent battle with Jiraiya.

Jiraiya had used natural energy to amplify his jutsu, dramatically boosting their power. The resemblance intrigued Rasa.

"Interesting. Let's see how far the Dragon Vein's chakra can really take you."

With that thought, Rasa swiftly formed a series of hand seals, his expression focused and determined.

Boom!

Just as the massive purple fireball hurtled toward him, two enormous claws made of sand erupted from the ground beneath him. They slammed together with a deafening crash, completely extinguishing Mukade's Grand Dragon Flame in an instant.

"What?!"

Mukade's monstrous form froze in shock, its rage momentarily replaced with disbelief.

Rasa, however, looked somewhat disappointed. The chakra-enhanced fireball didn't even come close to matching the intensity or heat of the jutsu Jiraiya had used.

"So, the Dragon Vein's chakra isn't suited for amplifying jutsu power after all? If that's the case, let's test its other abilities."

He raised his hands, his expression changing to one of focused concentration.
