My Mage System (BL)

Chapter 724: *Sounds cool!*

A golden portal appeared right after Kevin had asked for help, and Ian, Jordan, Atlas, Phil, Blaise, and other Drakonits they didn't know joined them as well.

Kevin then said to Ian and Jordan, "Help us strengthen the golden runes that Axel had drawn to counter the black ones. As for the others, help yourself to absorb as many black particles as you can. The sooner we destroy those black runes, the better. The core of your world is running out of strength, and ours won't be able to hold up for long either."

Although the Drakonits of this world didn't fully understand what he was talking about, they promptly followed Kevin's orders, as Elias had instructed them to comply with any requests from the boys on the other side of the portal.

Ian then asked him via the communication stone, as he wasn't sure he could voice his questions aloud, "Kev, what's happening here? Elias didn't tell us anything…"

Kevin, using the same means of communication, replied, "When we arrived in this world and I used my Stage 3 to save Johan, the system sent me a warning message and a quest."

He continued, "This world was about to explode, and we had only 5 minutes to find the core of this world and save it. Fortunately, the core of our world led us to it; otherwise, we wouldn't have found it in time."

"My God!" exclaimed Ian through the communication stone, "Is the threat over now?"

Kevin nodded slightly and told him, "The countdown finally stopped once you all started to help us, but what I'm worried about is how we are going to help the core of this world regain its energy… Look at it; its light is almost gone, and we can't afford for it to die, no matter what."

Ian then said to him, "Did you ask your system? Maybe it will know how to help this core regain its powers."

Kevin smiled and replied, "That's a great idea! I didn't have time to think about it properly, as a bigger threat was imminent."

"You're welcome," said Ian, and as he increased his absorption of the black particles and sent more golden particles into Axel's runes, he said, "If I can help you, just tell me!"

Kevin simply nodded and looked around to ensure that everyone was okay. After all, these black particles were very aggressive, but all the Drakonits that Elias had sent seemed to have enough experience and power to absorb them.

Ian and Jordan were using their ultimate forms, both sending golden particles to reinforce Axel's runes. Simultaneously, they took the opportunity, like the other Drakonits, to absorb as many black particles as they could.

They were all quite pleased with this opportunity and felt a bit carefree, unaware that just 5 minutes earlier, this world had been on the brink of destruction because of those runes.

As the destruction of the black runes was now just a matter of time due to their manpower, Kevin asked his system what to do to help the core of this world regain its energy.

[This magic circle is the energy source of the core. Since it is not damaged, the core will regain its energy by itself. However, as it has just used a lot of energy and its reserve is almost depleted, this world could face natural disasters one after another, as the core wouldn't be able to stabilize their world in its current state.]

[Optional Quest 2]

Help the core of this world regain its energy. You need to draw another magic circle to empower this one.

Note: Use divine-grade magic crystals to power it.

Reward 1: 500,000 gold coins

Reward 2: 50 stat points

Reward 3: Legendary box

Note: If Optional Quests 1 and 2 are completed, you will receive an extra reward.

"Sounds cool!" said Axel through their link.

"Indeed!" replied Kevin. Now that the threat was over, he was eager to see what they would find inside those boxes, and more importantly, the extra reward offered by the system was always something priceless.

But he looked at Axel helplessly and asked him, "Do you know how to draw this magic circle?"

Axel smiled and said, "Absolutely not! But don't worry; our core will draw it for us as soon as these black runes are gone."

Kevin was still a little surprised by how the core of their world had helped them and how it still wanted to assist them. In any case, without it, they would have all been doomed; he was really glad that it was helping them.

A thought then crossed his mind, but Axel reassured him right away, telling him that nothing would happen to their world because their core was still in great shape and had taken precautions to protect it before coming to help them.

Kevin then sighed in relief because Axel had never really talked about the connection he had with the core of their world. To ease Kevin's worries, Axel explained, "The core of our world can use my powers, which is why it is still bright. Moreover, it doesn't need to be present in our world all the time and can stay inside me when we travel. It says that since Elias and Miguel placed our world under their protection, no one can access a similar chamber in our world to attack us."

"I see," said Kevin; it was all for the better then.

Thirty minutes later, the black runes were finally gone, and Ian and Jordan were giving the remedy against mental fatigue to the Drakonits of this world. Absorbing such a large quantity of black particles had exhausted them, but they were all happy, as their affinity with the Evil Divine element had significantly increased.

Then Axel sent them all to the arena where the others were and said to Ian, "We still need to do something here, and we will join you all afterward."

Ian hesitated but finally he simply nodded and crossed the golden portal, which disappeared right after him.
