My Second Life in Another World

Chapter 413: Transfer Finished

'I feel like my taste buds are burned,' Jin-ah groaned, but because of this, she had an idea.

'I am complaining to Haru about this…' Jin-ah smirked, since that way, 'I'll get something good for this inconvenience, Hehe~.'

And it wasn't her alone that had such a thought.

'This was tough to do,' Hae-in was currently resting, it wasn't normal for her to get tired because of her superior endurance thanks to being an S-rank Hunter in her world.

She could count the times when she was out of stamina in battle on her fingers. Not to mention that…

'I think I have been out of stamina with Haru more times than that had happened in battles,' Hae-in smiled slightly since, 'I guess that can be called a battle as well.' she looked at Haru and…

"What happened?" Haru asked since Hae-in was just smiling for no reason.

'What is going on in her head?' He needed to be prepared just in case she came up with something that she thought was funny, 'I mean, it can start problems.'

"I just have something in mind," Hae-in chuckled noticing the cautious look on his face, she was secretly enjoying it like always.

"What?" Haru asked, because he knew that she would talk to him about it, otherwise she wouldn't even mention it.

"Well, how about you keep a few hours open for me after we reach the base," Hae-in smirked before adding, "I'll tell you all about my thoughts then."

"…" At this moment, Haru couldn't stop himself from guessing what Hae-in wanted to talk about.

'Did she notice something?' But he was thinking about it in line with the current problem at hand.

For Haru, there were still questions that hadn't been answered yet, and those unanswered questions created dark areas that he couldn't thread through; because a single wrong step could put them in danger.

That is why he was so focused on getting as much information as he could about this system from the start, that way he could act of his own accord while staying clear of dangerous areas, and most importantly he wouldn't have to take risks.

'Being hasty isn't going to be helpful after all,' Haru knew that which is why, 'I need to be more careful with the next scenario.'

But Hae-in didn't have the same line of thought as him at this moment, no in a way she indeed had the same thoughts, it was just that…

"You remember that it was my day to go on a nice date with you when the scenario started, right?" Hae-in's question brought Haru out of his thoughts immediately.

"Hmm? Yeah, we did have that plan after I dropped Queresha to see Jin-ah and Alea at the University," Haru of course remembered it but, "Why are you bringing that up now?"

"I was just thinking about it, I mean it is not like we can have a date in the current situation," Hae-in shrugged before looking at the confused Haru, "So, why don't we just skip the date part~?" the small smirk along with her eyes conveyed everything she wanted to say, in case the words failed to do so somehow.

"…I see, so that's what happened," Haru sighed as Hae-in's smile widened looking at his reaction.

"Yep, so you better be ready for an earful if you don't listen to me~," Hae-in was pretty much lying here just to poke fun at Haru, but she was serious about her other words.

"I'll see what I can do," And just like she had thought, Haru surrendered nice and easy.

"I look forward to it even more now," Hae-in giggled happily.

'It should also be a good way for him to calm down,' Hae-in was mainly worried about him being too hard on himself.

Since the scenarios started he has been getting more distant from almost everyone in the group.

'No, I think it started when we came to this world,' Hae-in could understand his worry but, 'That's not the correct way of going about it.' and that is why she needed to do something about this in her own way.

"You better not postpone it," Hae-in chuckled as Haru sighed, he knew that she had gotten him at this moment. And because of this tacit understanding…

"I wouldn't dare to…" Haru shook his head with a small smile and the clock struck 4 with Hae-in's victory, the reason it was of importance was that…

'They… did it?' Lycaon was wide-eyed, Haru and everyone had finished the entire thing in four hours.

He had previously thought that they wouldn't be able to do this till night but…

'They were working like a proper unit, like one big army,' Lycaon had only seen this type of efficiency from one other group and that was, 'The ant legion from Chronos.' He was definitely surprised by the humans who have been able to show this level of coordination.

Moving the people and materials through a swift route with maximum marching speed, the attack teams filled with close combatants dealing with monsters on the way.

The ranged attackers were focused on dealing with the monsters in the river. And to perfectly know how many things to send out so that the transfer team doesn't get tired quickly even with numerous rounds, the one who did that was Zenobia herself.

She had been in charge of forming groups and dividing the resources properly, it was her job to make sure that the transportation was smooth. While the job of making sure the transfer was made to the other side smoothly was handed by Haru and everyone else who was there.

She also kept an eye on the surroundings through her drones and notified the transport team when they were moving, so that they could prepare for any monsters that would appear in their way.

And at this moment she had appeared on the group with the last batch.

"Good work," Haru said with a smile and…

"You did most of the work anyway," Zenobia smiled back and she wasn't lying. Her job was relatively easier compared to his since she could play some things off, but he wouldn't be able to.

"Well, it was nothing," Haru laughed, even with the potions there was a limit to how much Pil-du could do on his own, because his stomach had a limit. So he had to pop in a few times and work himself.

But now that it was over there was no need to think about it too much.

"Then let's go, it seems that we are the only ones on this side," Zenobia looked at the remaining few people.

It was just her, Hae-in, Jin-ah, Pil-du, and Haru. The rest have already been sent over by the bridge alongside the last of the equipment.

"Hmm, there is a lot we still need to do before the scenario starts," Haru said and Hae-in nodded while nudging him, "I remember alright, gimme a break." He sighed shaking his head.

"Fufu, I wonder what is going on here?" Zenobia giggled looking at Haru's troubled expression, while Hae-in looked as smug as ever.

But there was no time for such talks because…

"C'mon you guys we need to go quickly," Jin-ah shouted before going down the slide herself, she had strengthened it enough alongside Alea for it to not break for a few hours.

That is why there was no need to worry about it crumbling, even if she didn't attend to it.

'And this is how the Great Jin-ah makes her escape!!' Jin-ah landed softly on the other side using the branch made by Alea.

"Oi, Ale-" Jin-ah was about to greet Alea but…

"What did I tell you?!" Alea's angry shout cut through her voice, "I am ordering you to retreat!!"

"Who is she talking to?" Jin-ah muttered while looking at the phone in her hand.

And it didn't take long for her to know who it was, because the other person was far from a normal talker.

[And who gave you the right to order me, Huh!] It was none other than Nam-woon, who was leading the attack squad that was on the east of the bridge distracting the ichthyosaurs.

Then why were they at odds? It was because the mission was over and Alea was telling him to retreat as planned, but he wasn't listening at all, instead….

[I do what I want to, Get lost!!] He still wanted to fight more with the ichthyosaurs army because, [Don't interrupt my cool one-man army moment. I am bout to solo this bitch!!!!]

"Son of a…" Alea's face twitched as she heard him cackling wildly. She didn't like him ignoring orders but…

'Should I just leave him be?' Alea thought it was way more troublesome to deal with this lunatic when he became like this and, 'No one will care if he dies, I think?' she was having a dangerous thought even if she was half joking.
