Chapter 6: Chapter : 6 : Their Moment!
Yumi sat on the bed, fidgeting slightly as he waited. He had made sure everything was perfect—the room was warm, the sheets were freshly changed, and he had even taken extra time to look nice, just for Shinji.
His heart raced a little, though he told himself it was silly. They were married. They had been together for so long. But still… every time Shinji looked at him with that teasing smirk, it was like his body forgot how to act.
He looked up just in time to see Shinji step into the room, rolling his shoulders as he tugged off his tie. His blazer was already unbuttoned, hanging loosely around him.
Yumi swallowed, feeling warmth rise to his face. It was always like this. No matter how many times he saw him like this, tired from work but still effortlessly handsome, it always made his stomach flip.
Shinji glanced at him and smirked. "Waiting for me?"
Yumi huffed, crossing his arms. "Obviously."
Chuckling, Shinji shrugged off his blazer, tossing it onto the chair nearby. Yumi watched him with careful eyes before standing up and walking over.
"Let me," Yumi said, reaching for the tie.
Shinji didn't stop him, just watched with an amused expression as Yumi's fingers fumbled slightly with the knot.
"You know, I could've just taken it off myself," Shinji teased.
"Shut up," Yumi muttered, focusing on loosening the tie properly.
Shinji's hands moved suddenly, resting lightly on Yumi's waist. The simple touch sent a shiver up Yumi's spine, but he refused to react. Not yet.
Once the tie was undone, Yumi pulled it off and set it aside before reaching for the buttons of Shinji's shirt. His fingers hesitated slightly, but before he could decide whether this was too much, Shinji spoke again.
"Look at you," he murmured. "So eager to undress me."
Yumi's hands froze, his face heating up instantly. "I-I was just helping you!"
Shinji laughed softly, his grip on Yumi's waist tightening as he pulled him closer. "I know, I know," he said, voice low and teasing. "You're just such a good, caring husband."
Yumi glared up at him, but it was hard to look intimidating when his face was burning. "You're so annoying."
"And yet, you married me," Shinji hummed.
Yumi opened his mouth to argue, but Shinji chose that moment to lean down and kiss him, effectively stealing the words from his lips.
The kiss was slow but firm, Shinji's lips warm and familiar. Yumi melted into it before he even realized what he was doing, his fingers curling against Shinji's chest.
When they finally pulled apart, Shinji's eyes held that playful glint again. "See? You like me too much to be mad."
Yumi huffed. "Whatever."
Shinji chuckled and leaned down again, this time pressing a kiss to Yumi's jaw, then his neck. Yumi tensed, his breath hitching.
"You always get so flustered," Shinji murmured against his skin. "It's cute."
Yumi gritted his teeth. "I am not cute."
"Sure, sure."
Yumi wanted to argue, but Shinji was already undoing the top buttons of his own shirt, exposing more of his collarbone. His skin was slightly warm from the day, and Yumi had the sudden urge to press his hands against it.
"I missed you today," Shinji said suddenly.
Yumi blinked at him. "You were gone for like, what? Eight hours?"
"Exactly. Too long."
Yumi stared at him for a moment before sighing. "I missed you too."
Shinji grinned. "See? That wasn't so hard to admit."
Yumi rolled his eyes but didn't argue. Instead, he reached up and started helping Shinji with the rest of his buttons. His fingers were steadier now, moving with ease.
Shinji watched him the whole time, a small smile on his lips. "You're good at this."
"I should be. I do it all the time," Yumi muttered.
Shinji hummed. "Does that mean I get to undress you too?"
Yumi's face turned red. "S-Shinji!"
Shinji laughed. "Kidding, kidding. You're just fun to tease."
Yumi huffed but didn't push him away. He knew Shinji was just like this—always teasing, always pushing just enough to make him react. But the truth was, Yumi didn't mind it. Not really. Because, at the end of the day, Shinji loved him. And that love was in every word, every touch, every little action.
As he finally finished with Shinji's buttons, Yumi glanced up at him. "You should go shower," he said.
Shinji raised an eyebrow. "Are you kicking me out of our own bedroom?"
"No, I just…" Yumi hesitated. "I just want you to be comfortable. You've been working all day."
Shinji's expression softened, and he reached up, brushing a strand of hair from Yumi's face. "You're too sweet," he murmured.
Yumi looked away, flustered. "Just go shower."
Shinji chuckled but did as he was told, heading toward the bathroom. Yumi watched him go, feeling warmth settle in his chest.
Yeah. He really, really loved this man.
After he took the shower...
Shinji stepped out of the shower, his damp hair sticking slightly to his forehead as he ran a hand through it. He felt refreshed, his muscles relaxed after a long day at work, but his thoughts were already drifting elsewhere—to the one waiting for him outside.
As he grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist, a small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. Yumi must be in the kitchen now, setting up dinner. He already knew what to expect.
His loving, thoughtful husband would be preparing all his favorite dishes, probably humming to himself as he carefully plated everything. The thought made Shinji's heart swell with warmth.
He stepped out of the bathroom, the cool air hitting his skin as he made his way down the hall.
As he neared the kitchen, his eyes landed on Yumi, who was on his tiptoes, trying to lift a heavy pot from the counter. His small hands struggled with the weight, his brows furrowed in concentration.
Shinji's smirk widened. How adorable.
Without a word, he stepped forward, his movements silent. Just as Yumi was about to lift the pot, strong arms wrapped around his waist from behind, pulling him flush against a firm, warm chest.
"Sh-Shinji?!" Yumi gasped, startled.
A low chuckle tickled his ear. "What are you doing, sweetheart? Trying to do heavy lifting all on your own?"
"I-I was just—" Yumi stuttered, but his words trailed off as Shinji's hands began to wander.
One arm remained snug around his waist while the other slid upward, his large palm pressing firmly against Yumi's boobs. He gave a slow, deliberate squeeze, making Yumi stiffen in surprise.
"Sh-Shinji!" His voice was flustered, almost scolding, but it lacked any real resistance.
Shinji grinned against the side of his neck, placing a teasing kiss just below his ear. "Mm? Something wrong?"
Yumi felt heat rush to his face, his body betraying him as he leaned slightly into the touch. "You… You always do this," he mumbled, biting his lip.
Shinji hummed in amusement. "Do what? Touch my lovely, beautiful spouse? Can you blame me?"
Yumi turned his head slightly, shooting him a weak glare, but Shinji could see the way his lips trembled, fighting back a smile. He knew Yumi enjoyed his teasing—no matter how much he pretended otherwise.
Shinji's fingers traced slow, lazy circles over Yumi's skin, sending small shivers down his spine. His other hand, still on Yumi's waist, gave another firm squeeze, making Yumi gasp softly.
"You're so sensitive," Shinji whispered against his skin, trailing kisses down his neck. "I love it."
Yumi's breath hitched. "S-Shinji, the food—"
"Can wait."
With that, Shinji gently turned Yumi around to face him. His eyes darkened as he took in the sight before him—Yumi's flushed cheeks, his slightly parted lips, and those wide, flustered eyes that always drove him crazy.
"You're unfair," Yumi muttered, looking away. "Always teasing me…"
Shinji chuckled before capturing his lips in a deep, slow kiss. His hand returned to Yumi's waist, pulling him closer, while the other slid up, cupping his cheek. He kissed him with an intensity that left no room for hesitation—fierce yet tender, playful yet filled with love.
Yumi melted into it, his arms instinctively wrapping around Shinji's neck. His fingers threaded through Shinji's damp hair, holding onto him as their lips moved together.
Shinji smirked slightly against the kiss, feeling how eager Yumi was despite his earlier protests. His hand slid down to Yumi's hip again, giving it a firm squeeze, drawing out the softest whimper from him.
He pulled back just enough to whisper, "See? You love it when I tease you."
Yumi pouted, his breath uneven. "I hate you."
Shinji only chuckled. "No, you don't."
With that, he swooped in for another kiss—deeper, hungrier this time. His fingers trailed up Yumi's back, pressing him closer, as if he couldn't get enough. Yumi shivered, gripping onto him tightly, completely lost in the warmth of his embrace.
When they finally pulled away, Yumi's lips were slightly swollen, his breath coming in short, quick puffs. He looked up at Shinji, eyes hazy, still caught in the moment.
Shinji smirked. "Now, about dinner—should I let you go, or do you want to stay in my arms a little longer?"
Yumi pouted but didn't move away. "…You're annoying."
Shinji grinned, giving his hip another teasing squeeze. "And you love it."
Yumi huffed, but his small smile betrayed him. He wrapped his arms tighter around Shinji's neck and buried his face in his chest. "Just a little longer."
Shinji's smile softened. He held Yumi close, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead.
Shinji tilted Yumi's chin up, his thumb brushing over his soft lips. "You're so cute when you pout."
"I'm not pouting," Yumi grumbled, his cheeks still flushed from their previous kiss.
Shinji chuckled. "You so are."
Before Yumi could protest, Shinji leaned in again, capturing his lips in another kiss. This time, it was slower, deeper—filled with all the love he had for the person in his arms. His hands wandered down Yumi's waist, pressing their bodies together as he kissed him over and over, never wanting to stop.
Yumi sighed against his lips, his arms tightening around Shinji's neck. He felt so warm, so safe. No matter how much Shinji teased him, he knew one thing for certain—he was loved. And that love was something he never wanted to let go of.
Shinji's hand trailed lower, squeezing Yumi's waist before sliding back up, pressing against his back. He deepened the kiss, tilting Yumi's head slightly to the side, taking his time to savor every second.
Yumi shivered, his knees going weak, but Shinji held him firmly, keeping him steady.
After a moment, Shinji pulled away just enough to whisper against his lips, "I love you."
Yumi's eyes fluttered open, meeting Shinji's intense gaze. His heart pounded in his chest. Even after all this time, even after being together for so long, those three words still made his face heat up.
"I know," he murmured back, a small, shy smile tugging at his lips. "I love you too."
Shinji grinned, brushing his nose against Yumi's.
"You always react so sweetly," Shinji murmured against his lips before stealing another kiss, this one even more desperate, as if he had been starving for Yumi all day. His lips moved down, trailing along Yumi's jaw before finding his neck, pressing hot, open-mouthed kisses against the sensitive skin.
Yumi bit his lip, trying to steady his breathing. "You just got home, and you're already like this?" he whispered, trying to sound annoyed, but his voice betrayed him with how breathless he was.
Shinji chuckled, his fingers tightening on Yumi's hips before giving them another squeeze. "Can you blame me? My beautiful husband is here, cooking for me, looking adorable as ever. How could I resist?"
Yumi's face burned. "I-I was just making dinner," he tried to argue, but his voice faltered as Shinji nipped at his collarbone, his lips hot against his skin.
"And yet, here you are, melting in my arms." Shinji smirked, his fingers tracing slow, lazy circles against Yumi's waist before slipping lower, teasing the hem of his oversized hoodie.
Yumi barely had time to react before Shinji pulled him close, their bodies pressing together as his husband's familiar warmth surrounded him.
"I'm gonna squeeze your hips and boobs even if you protest," Shinji whispered against his ear, his voice dripping with playful mischief. "I was thinking about all kinds of things the whole day about you… and now that I'm home, I'm gonna do it."
Yumi's breath hitched, his fingers gripping the fabric of Shinji's dress shirt. "W-Wait… Shinji—"
Shinji didn't wait. His hands slid down Yumi's waist, his grip firm but affectionate. He kneaded his hips, squeezing just enough to make Yumi shudder. His other hand moved upward, cupping and giving a teasing squeeze.
Yumi's face turned bright red. "S-Shinji! You— you're ridiculous!"
"Am I?" Shinji chuckled, his lips ghosting over Yumi's. "You're the one getting all flustered. What were you thinking about while I was gone, huh?"
Yumi swallowed hard. He had been thinking about Shinji. Maybe even more than he should have. But there was no way he was going to admit that.
"I-It's not like I was thinking anything weird!" Yumi huffed, but Shinji saw right through him.
Shinji smirked, his fingers tightening around Yumi's waist. "Oh? Then why do you look so guilty?"
Yumi avoided his gaze, but that only encouraged Shinji more. He pressed closer, tilting Yumi's chin up so their lips were mere inches apart.
Shinji smirked as he held Yumi close, his arms still wrapped around him. Yumi was already flustered, his cheeks burning from all the teasing, and Shinji wasn't planning on stopping anytime soon.
"Let's eat dinner first," Shinji murmured against his ear, his voice laced with amusement. "You worked so hard making all my favorites, right?"
Yumi pouted, still feeling overwhelmed from all the touches. He was so sure Shinji was going to push things further right then and there, but now he was talking about dinner?
Shinji chuckled at his expression. "What? You look disappointed," he teased, squeezing Yumi's waist playfully. "Did you want to skip dinner and go straight to bed instead?"
Yumi gasped and smacked his chest lightly. "Shut up! Just sit down and eat already!"
Shinji laughed, finally letting go, but not without one last playful squeeze on Yumi's backside. Yumi yelped, spinning around to glare at him, but Shinji just grinned, completely unfazed.
"What was that for!?" Yumi huffed, crossing his arms.
"Just testing how soft you've gotten lately," Shinji said with a teasing grin. "You're carrying our baby, after all."
Yumi's blush deepened, but instead of arguing, he just turned away quickly and went a head and started setting the table.
Shinji took a seat, watching as Yumi moved around, serving the food. His heart swelled with warmth. Even though he loved teasing Yumi, moments like these reminded him of how lucky he was.
Yumi sat down across from him, pretending to focus on his plate, but Shinji could tell he was still flustered. The way his ears were red gave it away.
Shinji picked up his chopsticks, taking the first bite. His expression immediately softened. "It's perfect," he said, looking up at Yumi. "You really do know me too well."
Yumi glanced at him shyly, a small smile forming on his lips. "Of course, I do. You're my husband."
Shinji smiled, his teasing demeanor softening for a moment. "And you're mine."
For a while, they just ate together, enjoying the meal in comfortable silence. But of course, Shinji couldn't help himself for too long.
Once they were almost done, Shinji leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand. "So, after this… we should head to bed."
Yumi nearly choked on his food. "Wh-What?"
Shinji grinned. "Well, you did say you wanted me to enjoy my favorites. And after dinner, I plan to enjoy my other favorite thing."
Yumi groaned, covering his face with his hands. "You're impossible…"
Shinji laughed, reaching across the table to poke his cheek. "And you love me for it."
Yumi peeked at him through his fingers before sighing. "…Yeah, I do."
Shinji's expression softened again, his teasing fading into something more tender. "Good," he said. "Because I love you too."
And with that, they finished their meal, already anticipating what the rest of the night had in store.
