When Shisui was still alive, the Uchiha clan had already been planning a coup. The reason they had held back until now was largely due to the balance of power between the two sides. In other words, the Uchiha clan feared the strength of the Third Hokage and the higher-ups of the Leaf Village. They believed they needed at least two elite jōnin capable of awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan before they could launch their rebellion.

"Well then…" Haru took a deep breath and flashed a confident smile at Itachi. With Danzō dealt with, it was time to dispel the shadow clone and relay the information to his main body.

"See you later," Haru said, then dispelled the Wood Clone, disappearing before Itachi and the Root ninja.

Itachi Uchiha stared at the empty space where Haru had vanished and murmured to himself, "It's not becoming Hokage that earns you everyone's recognition. It's earning everyone's recognition that allows you to become Hokage. The Uchiha clan, ostracized as they are, would never win the hearts of the people even if they seized the position of Hokage through a coup. And the same goes for you, Haru."

After leaving these profound words, Itachi's body began to dissolve, transforming into a flock of crows that slowly disappeared into the night.

Due to the effects of the Dead Demon Consuming Seal, not even Danzō's corpse remained. Torune Aburame stared at the empty space where Danzō had been sealed, took a deep breath, and realized that he had been powerless to stop either Haru or Itachi from leaving. What he couldn't be sure of was whether these two had come to assassinate Danzō or if they were planning to join forces with the Uchiha clan to stage a coup afterward. Perhaps Haru's main body was even now attacking the Third Hokage in the Land of Iron.

As these possibilities raced through his mind, Torune quickly calmed himself and turned to leave. He had to report this incident to the Leaf's higher-ups and immediately inform Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Since they weren't using any means of transportation, Haru and his group had chosen to travel during the day and rest at night. At the moment, Haru was resting in his room when a series of images and information flooded his mind.

"Danzō is dead."

Haru stood up from the tatami mat and walked to the window, gazing at the moon in the night sky. Even though it was just his Wood Clone, it had been able to use the Byakugan, and with Itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan, there had been no chance for Danzō to fake his death and escape. What Haru hadn't expected was that Danzō would resort to the Dead Demon Consuming Seal in his final moments to erase the cells of Hashirama.

"Afraid I'd use Kotoamatsukami to control Sarutobi Hiruzen, huh?" Haru chuckled to himself. He had no need to use Kotoamatsukami on the Third Hokage. Based on the current timeline, Sarutobi would die within six years during Orochimaru's invasion of the Leaf.

"The next step is to head to the Land of Iron and stir up conflict between the Leaf and the Cloud," Haru thought to himself.

Unlike the Senju clan, any member of the Uchiha clan could awaken the Sharingan with just a bit of stimulation. Even someone like Izumi Uchiha, who had only a single lineage, could awaken it. And when it came to stimulation, what could be more stimulating than war? Even Fugaku Uchiha had awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan after witnessing the death of a close friend on the battlefield.

'If I'm not mistaken, the Sharingan on Danzō's arm were also obtained through this method. During the Third Great Ninja War, the Leaf was fighting against four nations simultaneously, and the Uchiha clan couldn't avoid being drawn into the conflict. However, simply having a three-tomoe Sharingan didn't automatically make someone an elite jōnin. It also depended on combat experience and knowledge of techniques. Of course, Haru didn't care much about the Uchiha clan's strength. As long as war broke out between the Leaf and the Cloud, he could send the Uchiha clan to the front lines, weakening their power while finding ways to collect more Sharingan for himself. This plug-and-play power was something he couldn't have enough of.

At the same time, Itachi Uchiha returned home. As soon as he stepped into the courtyard, he heard a familiar voice.

"Itachi."

"We need to talk," Fugaku said.

Regardless of the truth, it had solidified one belief among the clan: they needed to stage a coup, purge the Leaf's leadership, and reclaim the power they deserved.

And Itachi Uchiha would undoubtedly be a key figure in this plan.

"Yes, we should talk," Itachi replied, taking a deep breath.
