My Simulated Road to Immortality

In the central area of the Guangwu Star Sea, surrounded by a hundred celestial pillars, lies utter darkness. Yet beneath it, hidden currents surge, and the Dao Yan rises and falls like waves.

However, this small-scale Dao Yan is firmly resisted by the densely packed celestial pillars, like breakwaters.

Occasionally, faintly bright spots drift out from the central Dao Yan Abyss.

And after an unknown length of time, beneath the unseen, imperceptible darkness of the Dao Yan, something seemed to be drawn by the Immortal Coffin.

About to surge forth!

The Guangwu Star Sea side acted as if facing a great enemy. Whatever was about to emerge from the Dao Yan Vortex seemed of great importance to them. Not only did the light from the many celestial pillars become more dazzling, but numerous living True Immortals also arrived. All focused on the center of the pillars.

Like a gigantic wave crashing against a dike. The hundred celestial pillars, and even the entire star sea beneath their protection, were thrown into intense turbulence.

However, their goal was not to save the collapsing celestial pillars, but to seize what lay beneath the Dao Yan Vortex!

It merely stared at the Giant Rat Immortal who had led it into a deadly trap.

What happened next confirmed the Giant Rat Immortal's last words.

The devourer was ultimately devoured.

Gazing at the grotesque, formless decayed rat, the faces in the center of the hundred celestial pillars appeared as if seeing a gourmet delicacy, unabashedly revealing their greed.

They paid no heed to the wretched state of the decayed rat, proceeding to feast upon it.

Satisfied sounds filled the air post-feast.

The faces on the pillars vanished, and they returned to their usual celestial pillar appearance.

As the central pillars slowly shortened, the Dao Yan Vortex reappeared.

Yet the Immortals of Guangwu Star Sea refrained from acting again. Instead, they first removed the Immortal Coffin and assessed the safety of the pillar's surrounding area.

The next baiting and hunting operation would not occur until three years later.

This time, the catch was once again a Mutated True Immortal from the coffin. However, this one wasn't rat-shaped, but rather a worm covered with human mouths and eyes.
