My Soul card is a Reaper

Riddled by the fear of how his actions would bring about the results, Azzy kept his mind busy by training.

Azzy sat alone in his room. His legs crossed, maintaining a steady breathing.

He opened his palm, his soul energy pushed out, and transformed into ten zodiac symbols tied to each other by a thread of energy.

It's the Decarune Seal. The very first sealing technique he ever learned, but he had already reached its limit. He had to go past it.

"Hmm… the first ten were basically the symbols from Ram to a sea goat. The two remaining are Aquarius and Pisces. That means a water bearer and the fish."

Azzy closed his eyes and focused. He began to concentrate.

With a swipe of his hand, the thread that joined the sea goat and the ram was cut off, and he tried to expand the seal, conjuring the remaining two symbols and neatly arranging them with the rest in the twelve-slot seal.

But when he completed the seal by attaching the runic symbols to each other, nothing happened. The seal itself remained ineffective, losing its original function too.

Azzy furrowed his brows in deep thought. "There's something I'm missing… What do you think, Chronos, what did I…" His eyes widened when he realized what name he had just blurted out. "I…" Azzy's eyes drooped down. "Sigh…"

And in that moment, the loneliness hit.

Not the kind you get from being alone, but the kind where no one else can see the road you're walking, and the one who once guided his steps was gone, leaving only memories behind.

Azzy couldn't help but remember how much he used to depend on the Reaper. Anytime he fell in trouble, the Reaper was always the one he asked for help.

But due to the betrayal caused by the Reaper for the sake of the greater good, now, that connection was cut off.

Azzy sat there for a long time.

And finally, with one slow breath, he straightened his back and reopened his eyes.

"Then I'll have to guide myself now."

Azzy began exploring his attribute manipulation.

"Hmm… at the moment, I have divine energy, Protos energy, Death energy, Life energy, Lightning energy, Crystal energy, demonic energy, and Earth energy attributes in my core. I couldn't get access to Light energy attributes because the jewel of light is sealed to imprison the Supreme Angel.

As for the other three cosmic jewels, after they became a part of me, their abilities changed quite a bit."

Azzy raised his hand. A brown glowing oval-shaped jewel appeared in the middle of his right palm.

Closing his eyes, he mumbled. "Create."

Just a thought was enough, and the attribute energy gushed out of the earth jewel and created a block of adamantium. "Hmm… this is the strongest element I can create. But Tellus created an even stronger one, that white metal. But, unless I know what that is and can't visualize it, I can't create that thing."

Putting away the adamantium block, he then snapped his fingers, a hand-sized diamond. Throwing it up casually and catching it down, Azzy smirked. "Yeah, material creation has no issue."

Basically, with Earth jewel, Azzy could create any metal or mineral with a thought in his mind, provided that he knows how's that metal looks like and what exactly that metal is. Gold, diamonds, minerals, adamantium, he can basically create wealth.

The Life jewel he had didn't need further introduction at all. After merging with his forehead, the Life Jewel gave him not just the power to instantly heal himself. As long as one doesn't get killed, Azzy could heal him, regenerate his lost parts or organs instantly.

There is another power to the Life Jewel, which he discovered recently. It is the Life Creation. He can create wood, trees, and plants, which basically don't have any souls. In theory, he can also create a monster or a human, but as he cannot create a soul, those will be nothing but puppets he is able to control through his will. That means, as long as he gets access to souls, he can create life. But since he cannot go to the spirit realm to acquire the souls, Azzy got an idea of using existing souls of the monsters or dying humans for his experiment, but that for later, when he was free with other important matters.

The least used jewel, the jewel of lightning, which merged into his chest. When it protruded out of his chest, Azzy felt the energy inside it. He couldn't help but close his eyes, letting himself be enveloped by seven concentrated bolts, each different in color. White, Blue, Red, Purple, Gold, and Pink. He snapped his eyes open and looked at himself. However, he couldn't help but frown at the sight of those lightning bolts. "No black? Then I guess black lightning was just the Protos variant of lightning? Hmm… It's weird to see a pink lightning bolt, though. I certainly don't want to attack opponents with it. A bit girlish…"

Taking a deep breath, he dismissed it.

Shutting his eyes once again, he went into his mindscape. He stood at the edge of the cliff, watching down at the undead army below, many of them are special beasts. 54 rank-10s and 682 rank-9 monsters were just lying down as if they were sleeping, maintaining their habits prior to death.

However, apart from undead beasts, surprisingly, there are normal beasts too in their midst. One looked like a 15-foot-long Golem with its body partially composed of black and shiny rock, with cracks and crevices emitting some kind of violent light. The other one was a serpent-like dragon.

It was then that Azzy suddenly remembered their existence, all of a sudden. "Oh, it's the Knull and Nidhoggr."

"Hey, Azzy…" A voice from behind attracted his attention. He turned around to see Claire's spirit floating in the air, translucent.

"Oh, you woke up again?" Azzy's eyes filled with happiness when he saw her.

"Yeah, I guess I'll be here for another five minutes."

Azzy's face turned dark for a moment.

The reason he couldn't see or talk to Claire every day is because of this energy. Claire seems to have spent a lot of soul force every time she talks to him. That's why their conversation is always brief.

Now that he saw her, he knew that she was going to be here for a while. But he didn't want to expend her energy. So, he waved his hand without talking much. "You better accumulate soul force for a better occasion, Claire. Go and rest for now."

Claire's spirit smiled. "Alright." She dissipated into thin air.

*Sigh*

Shaking his head of any other thoughts, Azzy once again looked down at the monsters.

With his powers entirely in his control, Azzy didn't see any barrier past the cliff edge, which used to stop him earlier.

Azzy stepped forward and jumped down to the barren land for the first time since his awakening.

As soon as he landed, the undead beasts woke up. They turned their heads and gazed at Azzy.

All of them instantly went down to their knees, even including Knull and Nidhoggr, although Azzy sensed resistance from them.

Azzy waved his hand. The demigod realm golem and the dragon flew toward him. They landed in front of him, groveling at his feet in a bit of reluctance as if they don't want to do it but their bodies were automatically obliging the command.

"It's been a while, Knull, Nidhoggr." Azzy smiled.

"Ah, yes, Master," Knull replied.

Azzy then said. "How come the two of you are here. You didn't get one of those?" He pointed at the floating islands above.

The dragon replied. "No, we were bonded to Tellus first, but then found ourselves here, tied to your soul."

Azzy then said. "To be honest, at my strength, I honestly don't need either of you. But someone else might. I have two boys, you know. I wish to give both of you to them, each, turning you into their secondary Arcana spirits. What do you think? Unlike me, they would need your help. You can roam around as much as you want."

"Eh?" "Huh?"

The Golem and the Dragon exchanged their glances.

Azzy smiled widely. "Honestly, this is not a proposal, by the way." His hand was raised, and primordial death force was released from his death energy, forming an aura around his hand.

Even the undead beasts that curiously groveled around were reflexively moved away from Azzy.

Nidhoggr and Knull's faces were ashen, their eyes were on Azzy's hand.
