Chapter 711: Barca vs Atletico III

During the absence of the players, the stadium speakers bombarded music to keep the fans entertained. The vendors ran all around the stand, selling food and beverages. The fans gossiped while awaiting the start of the match.

Their eyes were filled with anticipation and excitement. They couldn't stop talking about their favorite players, and their conversation was rather lively.

The entire stadium was bustling with activity.

The LED screen flashed just then, displaying the players lined up in the tunnel. Just from a glance at the screen, one could tell the atmosphere inside the tunnel was rather stifling. The air inside the tunnel felt heavy.

The camera slowly moved, displaying the expression of the players.

"Look, it's Hiro," Ishikawa announced excitedly.

The moment Hiro's glimpse was shown on the screen, the crowd erupted, excitement evident in their eyes.

Hiro looked solemn and unbothered. He was standing in the middle of the line. However, one could detect a sharp glint in his eyes. He looked as if he was focusing on something. Perhaps, he was thinking something.

Even so, one couldn't tell what he was thinking about.

The others around him seemed to notice this unusual trait of his and maintained a distance from him. They didn't interrupt him. Neither did they dare to speak something to him.

Hiro seemed lost in some kind of distant world.

However, people merely assumed that he was focusing on the game.

"Look how serious he looks. I'm sure he must be thinking about tactics to win."

The people made all sorts of predictions, noticing the expression on Hiro's face. They couldn't help but admire his seriousness.

"What do you think he might be thinking?" Ishikawa asked.

She felt curious about Hiro's stern expression as well.

"He must be thinking about the match," Endo answered. "Well, he's the type to take every match seriously," he added.

He was familiar with Hiro. He knew that Hiro took every match seriously. Even the matches that others considered insignificant, he approached it with utmost caution. Though he never mentioned it, he could tell from the way he acted.

'You haven't changed, have you?' Endo couldn't help but smile noticing the stern expression he was used to seeing.

It reminded him of the days they shared the pitch.

However, he knew he wouldn't be able to stand on the pitch with him again. He could only admire him from a distance now.

Endo's brow knitted as he thought about it.

Frowning, he looked at his hand. He clenched his fist as he gritted his teeth. He could feel a sharp pain throbbing inside him.

'If only I didn't injure myself...' he sighed inside his heart. The others around him were getting even more noisy. However, he felt like he was secluded from them even though he was present among them. Their voices felt faint and distant.

The world around him fell silent, and he could only hear his inner voice.

'You're really shining the brightest, my friend.' Akashi's eyes glistened with happiness. His heart swelled with pride and joy. He truly felt happy for his friend for having made it this far. He couldn't be more happy about it.

However, he didn't utter a single word. He simply kept staring at Hiro.

He felt glad to witness Hiro here.

The stage was grand, and he truly believed Hiro deserved to stand on this stage.

'A stage befitting of your stature,' he thought, sweeping his gaze over the field. He could spot the excitement on the faces of the supporters. Their passion and enthusiasm were over the roof. It couldn't be compared to anything he had seen before.

The speakers were bombarding the names of the participating players and the players were making their way inside the pitch.

Passion and excitement were oozing all over the venue. The cheers of the crowd were getting louder with every passing moment, and the entire stadium was bursting with energy.

It truly felt like being part of an auspicious moment.

The three of them were glad to be here.

Hiro had also invited a few others. However, they couldn't make it due to their schedule. He had also invited Yutaka. But he also had a match today.

While advancing, Hiro glanced at the direction of his friends. Finally, he managed to spot them.

'Oh! You've made it.' Hiro smiled. 'Now, I can't show you something pathetic, can I?'

His eyes flared with determination upon noticing his friends. They had traveled from far away to see him. So, he believed he had to perform even better.

Determined, Hiro swept his gaze through the opposing team, once again. Even before entering the field, he had analyzed them.

Immediately, all sorts of arrows appeared above their heads.

The entire world felt like a game. Hiro, however, was already used to seeing this sight. If somebody were to witness this sight for the first time, they might go insane.

However, Hiro was already used to seeing this sight.

His eyes narrowed as he spotted a lot of threats. He could see through their sharpness.

'It won't be easy.' Hiro thought upon glancing at the opposing players.

He could spot more than a few individuals with red arrows above their heads. Red arrows hinted at threat. Even the others looked unusually sharp as well.

It just showed how fearsome the opposing squad was.

They also had to be wary of their chemistry. Compared to their chemistry, the opposing sides' chemistry was extremely terrifying.

One of the main factors leading to Barcelona's greatness was the chemistry between their players. When they played together, it looked like they could understand each other without even communicating.

Especially the chemistry between those who graduated from La Masia was extremely high.

Truly, they had built an empire with the youth players. The experience of the veteran players couldn't be underestimated either. Though Lewandowski had retired, they had already found a perfect replacement for him from their youth academy.

Looking at them, it seemed as if they could infinitely produce top-caliber players from their youth academy like robots manufactured in factories.
