My Teen Vampire System

Asgard was out like a light when he heard a loud banging sound on his door, he could hear the banging but assumed that maybe he was having one of those weird lucid dreams; that actually feel so real but they aren't.

So he just got himself off the floor which was where he last lost consciousness and ended up, not realising what time it was nor did he even bother himself to look at his curtains to actually see what it looks like outside.

All that he did was just jump in his bed and covered himself with his blankets; once again the loud banging was heard coming from outside his door.

This time he heard it and was now actually awake after that, so he couldn't sleep; as lazy as he was to actually even open his eyes. Instead, he just took a pillow and placed it over his ears and pressed it against himself.

"Come on honey, don't tell you stayed up all night and forgot that today was actually the first day of school." A woman's voice echoed outside it was soft and gentle.

"Just give me 5 more minutes." Asgard muttered as he groan.

Without expecting what happened next to actually happen, the next thing he heard was his door being actually broken into. It opened and the woman who was on the other side came in.

"Wakey, wakey. Sleeping beauty." She pulled the blanket away from him and threw them down the floor.

Asgard was so deep into whatever plan he had cooked, of sleeping in the extra 5 minutes; all he did was crawl in bed and take back the blankets that he was ripped off.

And he went back to sleep.

"What the?" The woman couldn't believe what she was seeing.

She tried to pull him out of bed, but he was so strong and for some weird reason; he had his claws deep in his mattress and when the woman tried to pull him, he just didn't budge.

The next thing she thought of was to lift up the mattress and force him out of bed by pushing him off, but then again; he proved to be too heavy for to even lift.

"Yikes, when did you get this heavy?" The woman asked as she tried to catch her breath.

The last thing she thought of attempting was the final straw, and she promised herself that if it happened that she failed to wake him up; she was going to give up.

Already he was facing the other direction just to avoid making contact with his mother; which happened to be the same woman who was trying so hard to wake her son up.

She walked over and chose to open the curtains, and when she did; a shining bright light hit Asgard exactly in his face.

"Gah!" He cursed as he hid his face, facing down the mattress.

"God, this boy!" His mother exclaimed.

She left, accepting defeat and Asgard was now left all by himself alone again in his room; this time he wasn't asleep and he wasn't planning on going back to sleep. All that he did was just stay and wait in bed for a couple more minutes.

There he was smiling all by himself, congratulating himself on surviving his mother's many ways of trying to get him up.

Still smiling, his ear tingled and he heard his mother all the down the stairs in the kitchen pouring water into a glass, and he even heard what she was planning; coming back upstairs to his room.

The funny thing was that he was listening to every step she took all the way to his room and he anxiously waited for her to get closer to the door.

One thing he didn't pay much attention too, was how fast he was getting to the door and opening it for her before she could open it herself.

"Oh hey mom, thanks for the glass of water". He opened the door and took the glass of water from her hand and drank it.

He left his mother's speechless, not only by the stunt that he just pulled; but by the way he looked, he was a bit different from the Asgard she knew. His physique had changed from that frail looking skinny boy, to someone who looked like they've been working out lately.

"Uhm...you need to get ready". She was a bit distracted.

"Okay, I promise I'll be done if a jiffy." Asgard handed her back the glass of water now empty and he went to the bathroom.

He just passed the mirror that was hanging next to the basin and went to take a shower; when he came out he was now drying his wet black hair and that's when he noticed something off about himself.

He could see through the mirror clearly and his body had also changed, this wasn't his body; this was usually his best friend's body who was the one who was playing a fitness sport that kept him fit and attractive. Football - but him, no way; he was more of a nerd to a geek, not this.

Asgard couldn't believe what he was seeing in the mirror, that he was looking so damn good and looking like an athlete; but he dismissed what he saw and probably thought it was his brain toying with him, so he dried himself off quickly and went to get ready.

After a few minutes he was now ready for school and his glasses were sitting on the counter next to him, there he was finishing with the last touch ups.

Now it was time for him to put on his glasses, before he even put them on he realised that they weren't in a perfect condition; they were cracked in one lens and another one was getting lose.

"Ah! Damn it." He didn't want to make a loud sound and alert his mother.

He knew very well he was going to be in huge trouble if his mother were to find out about what happened to his glasses; these weren't just any ordinary glasses, they were prescription and those who know. Understand how hard prescription glasses are to find.

So he decided to try and put them on, and when he did they didn't do much help either they made his sight even blur than before; he took them off and tried the other ones... And the same thing had happened again, he couldn't see anything.

But when he took them off, he could see in perfect vision.

"Now, that's odd." He couldn't believe it.

Now, the same person who had been diagnosed with a condition of having a problem with his sight his whole life, has mysteriously healed and gotten his eye sight back.

When all this was happening he'd decided to leave his bathroom door opened and to test this new wonder of his, he placed his glasses next to the counter and closed one eye to see if what he's thinking is truth or not; only to discover that it is true. He also did the same thing to the other eye and the results were still the same - but to be certain and sure he did it once again but this time he put hands on his eyes, and nothing had changed.

Not to forget that the curtains were still opened and the sun was too powerful and bright it hit him directly to his neck where he was bitten, thou the scar was somehow gone.

Then again, everything has it's own side and after effects - Asgard started to experience a stinging pain on his neck that felt like teeth going in his skin.

Clearly he'd forgotten about what had transpired last night, him getting into a fight and being pumbled close to death and running away from something chasing him.

Feeling all woozy and all of a sudden weak, he pushed through and managed to reach the basin; with his memories flashing like an old Polaroid camera taking pictures - recalling everything, even the system that he saw before he actually black out.

"I wonder what was that thing?" He thinks about it while washing his face.

What he didn't know is that when he was busy trying to recall what the system actually said to him, he was now summoning it.

As it appeared before him, once again.

Caught off guard, he almost tripped and fell.

"Woah, what the hell is this?" He manages to save his balance, as he reads to what it was saying to him.

Asgard couldn't believe what was right in front of him, right now... Already he was smart a quick enough to know, about what was presented before him.

It was a system, a game-like computer that actually allows the user to keep track of everything; about themselves for instance he just saw his own profile.

"Woah, so I have a system too?" He couldn't hide his over excitement.

From what he knows and from the experience he has as a gamer himself, he knew that the system didn't have just a profile only it also had [skills] and all he had to do was just think about it. Then automatically it will change to [skills] tab.
