Chapter 118: A Loli?!

After escaping the chamber, Luo Rong sheathed her sword back into her space ring and quickly caught up to Feng Fan, who clutched the flower tightly.

Without a word, she swept him up in her arms, carrying him like a princess as she soared through the cave tunnels. Her speed didn't falter, and within moments, they were outside the caves, bathed in the faint moonlight of the outside world.

Feng Fan, now in the somewhat embarrassing position of being cradled, glanced up at her and quipped with a grin, "My Prince has come to save me!"

A vein visibly throbbed on Luo Rong's forehead as she shot him a glare. "Shut up, or I might just drop you and save myself the trouble!"

Feng Fan cleared his throat. "About this flower… how are we going to split it?"

"For now, we must not touch it," Luo Rong said firmly. "If we do, the Bloodsucker Demon Sect disciples will track me. Once we reach the Dao Seeking School, I'll ask my master to refine it into pills. Since additional materials will be used, we'll split seventy percent to me and thirty percent to you. Fair enough?"

Feng Fan, having read her thoughts, knew she was being truthful. He nodded quickly. "Sounds good. By the way, since I'll be living with you for four months, I hope you don't sneak into my bed at night!"

Luo Rong's expression darkened, and without warning, she released him mid-flight.

"AAAH! SISTER LUO!" Feng Fan shouted as he plummeted.

Just before he hit the ground, Luo Rong swooped down and caught him again. Her glare was sharp enough to cut steel. "Last warning—no more jokes for the rest of the trip!"

"My lips are sealed, I swear!" Feng Fan stammered, nodding frantically.

"How long until we reach the Dao Seeking School?" Feng Fan asked, steering the conversation to safer ground.

"At our current flying speed, it should take about a day," Luo Rong replied calmly.

"A day?!" Feng Fan exclaimed, his eyes wide with surprise.

He couldn't believe it. Luo Rong was a Nascent Soul realm cultivator, and even with the added weight of carrying him, she could cross the entire Qian Empire in at most six hours.

'The Dao Seeking School's territory must be ridiculously massive,' he thought, stunned by the realization.

Luo Rong flew nonstop, and a day later, they arrived at the Dao Seeking School.

As they approached, a shimmering barrier came into view, radiating a powerful defensive aura. Without stopping, Luo Rong passed through it, likely by having a sect token or some other form of identification.

Even though it was night, many disciples spotted Luo Rong flying through the air and instantly recognized her.

"Hey, isn't that Senior Sister Luo? Did she already return from her mission?"

"Forget that. Who's the guy she's carrying? Is he her... boyfriend?"

"Ridiculous! Who would dare date Goddess Luo?"

Feng Fan overheard their comments and felt an urge to yell, 'Stop spreading rumors! I'm engaged!' But with Luo Rong still carrying him, he wisely swallowed his words. Read exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire

The last thing he wanted was to anger her. Keeping his mouth shut felt like the safest choice.

Luo Rong flew steadily until she landed in front of a cave entrance carved into the side of a mountain. Unlike a typical rugged cave, this one had been altered; a sturdy wooden door now replaced the natural opening, giving it the appearance of a private abode.

Thud

Without warning, Luo Rong released Feng Fan, letting him crash onto the ground with a hard impact. His head smacked against the solid rock, and he groaned in pain as he slowly got back to his feet, rubbing the sore spot on the back of his head.

"Can't you be a little gentler?" Feng Fan asked, rubbing his head.

Luo Rong didn't even glance at him. She walked past him and knocked on the door. "Master, it's me, Luo Rong."

The door creaked open with a soft click, revealing a small girl dressed in oversized white robes that nearly swallowed her petite frame. She stood at about 1.35 meters tall, her slim figure giving her an almost doll-like appearance.

"Ah, Luo Rong," the girl said in a soft yet authoritative voice. "Why are you back so soon? Did you complete your mission?"

Feng Fan's jaw nearly dropped. His mind struggled to process what he was seeing. Before he could stop himself, he muttered under his breath, "A loli?!"

Luo Rong froze, her head snapping toward Feng Fan with a murderous glare. Her master's expression darkened as she narrowed her eyes, her presence immediately filling the air with an oppressive aura.

"And who might this be?" her master asked, her voice deceptively calm. "Your... friend?"

A chill ran down Luo Rong's spine. If there was one thing her master despised, it was any reference to her petite stature.

The small frame was a side effect of her unique physique—a topic one should leave untouched in case you value your life.

Feng Fan's face paled as he felt the crushing weight of the aura pressing down on him. "I-I'm just a passerby!" he blurted.

Luo Rong let out a quiet sigh, fully aware of her master's fiery temper. She quickly stepped forward, her tone calm but respectful. "Master, he's the one who helped me during my mission. Without him, I might not have made it back so easily."

Her master's sharp gaze shifted back to Luo Rong, the oppressive aura she radiated easing slightly, though not completely disappearing.

"I see," she said coldly. "I suggest he keeps his tongue in check if he values his life."

Feng Fan nodded frantically, his head bobbing so quickly it looked like it might snap off. "Got it! Absolutely noted! Won't happen again!"

Luo Rong's master observed Feng Fan's frantic nodding and let out a small, approving hum. "Very well," she said, stepping aside to gesture toward the entrance. "Both of you, come in. I want a full account of what happened."

Luo Rong and Feng Fan followed her into the cave, their steps echoing softly against the stone floor as they entered her abode.
