Chapter 120: Most Well-Behaved Disciple

After Feng Fan and Luo Rong left Long Liu's abode, Luo Rong wrapped Feng Fan in her spiritual qi and carried him a few hundred meters away, stopping in front of another dwelling that looked similar to Long Liu's.

"This is my place," Luo Rong said. "You'll stay on the second floor for the next four months. Tell me your sect's name, and I'll inform them about your situation."

Feng Fan nodded. "Thanks. It's the White Crow Sect."

Luo Rong used her token to unlock the door. The interior of her abode was almost identical to Long Liu's. After Feng Fan stepped inside, she closed the door and left.

Feng Fan turned back to the door and tried to open it, only to find it locked. "Huh, did she forget to give me a token? Should I break the array to get out?"

After a moment of consideration, he shrugged. "Ah, whatever. She'll probably be back soon."

He climbed the stone stairs to the second floor.

The second floor was bare, with plain rock walls, but Feng Fan noticed the spiritual qi density was slightly higher than it was downstairs.

"This floor must be meant for secluded cultivation," he muttered, nodding in approval. "That woman did stick to her promise."

Feng Fan sat cross-legged and began cultivating, immediately noticing that the spiritual qi in this place was at least five times denser than in his quarters at the White Crow Sect.

'Incredible! No wonder the Qian Empire is considered a backwater compared to the rest of the Black Turtle Continent,' he thought with awe.

Reaching into his space ring, he retrieved the red pills given by Luo Rong's master. Swallowing one, he focused inward, directing his attention to his body.

As the pill dissolved in his stomach, it released a torrent of pure, concentrated spiritual qi. Feng Fan quickly enveloped this energy with his own qi, refining it through the principles of his cultivation technique before guiding it into his dantian.

Within his dantian, the spiritual qi surged toward his fourth pillar. Bit by bit, the pillar began to grow, its size and strength steadily increasing with each passing moment.

A few hours later, Feng Fan felt his fourth pillar had reached its limit and could no longer grow. He redirected the spiritual qi toward his bones, fortifying them with each completed cultivation cycle.

'That dual cultivation with Qian Xiaoli really boosted my progress,' he thought, a perverted smile creeping onto his face as he recalled the unforgettable experience.

Realizing his thoughts were straying, he shook his head to clear his mind. "Focus," he muttered to himself, pushing the distractions aside and returning his full attention to cultivating.

For the next two days, Feng Fan focused solely on cultivating, ignoring his basic human needs.

Fortunately, with his Foundation Establishment and Bone Forging cultivation levels, he could go several days without tending to them. Once he reached the sixth realm, he wouldn't need to worry about such human necessities.

By the end of the second day, Feng Fan successfully broke through to the 5th stage, forming his fifth pillar within his dantian and further increasing the density and hardness of his bones.

"Not bad," he said with a satisfied grin. "At this rate, I might be able to break through to the Golden Core Formation realm before the Young Generation Competition."

A light chuckle echoed from the stairs. "Golden Core Formation should be the bare minimum for participants. Honestly, this Qian Empire is just pathetic."

Feng Fan immediately recognized the voice. Turning his head, he saw Luo Rong stepping onto the second floor, stopping at the top of the stairs.

He rolled his eyes. "What, you finally decided to show up just to insult me? What kept you so busy?"

"Unlike you, I'm an important disciple in my sect," Luo Rong replied with a smug smile. "I've been busy handling some matters. I stopped by to let you know that your sect has been informed about your situation. The person I spoke to seemed surprisingly happy—makes me think you're not exactly well-liked."

Feng Fan chuckled. "What do you know? They're probably thrilled I'll be able to improve my cultivation here. Also, could you please leave me a key? Or are you trying to imprison me? I must warn you, miss, I'm an engaged man!"

Luo Rong's eye twitched, and for a brief moment, she felt an overwhelming urge to slap him.

Taking a deep breath, she reined in her temper. As one of the gentlest senior sisters in the Dao Seeking School, she prided herself on her composure.

Yet dealing with Feng Fan was a constant reminder of why some juniors needed lessons delivered in a hard and painful way.

Luo Rong pulled out a token with Feng Fan's name engraved on it and tossed it to him. "This is yours for now. Make sure to return it when you leave."

Feng Fan caught the token and swiftly stored it in his space ring. "Return it? I, Feng Fan, never return a gift once it's given to me!"

Luo Rong's eyes narrowed, and a cold smile curved her lips. Her aura flared, pressing down on Feng Fan like a crushing weight. "Oh? Is that so? Then you're welcome to try. I'll gladly retrieve it—from your bloodied corpse."

Feng Fan gulped audibly. "On second thought, perhaps it would be wise to make an exception—just for you, Senior Sister Luo."

Satisfied, Luo Rong let her aura recede, her cold smile replaced by a sneer. "I'll need to leave for a couple of days. Don't create any trouble, is that clear?"

Feng Fan nodded with a grin. "Senior Sister, how could I possibly cause trouble? You might not know this, but in the White Crow Sect, I'm known as the most well-behaved disciple!"

Luo Rong shot him a look filled with disbelief. "Sure you are," she replied with a tone dripping in sarcasm. "Just stay here and focus on cultivating. There's food downstairs, help yourself if you need it."

Without waiting for a response, she turned around and left, her footsteps echoing faintly as she descended the stairs.
