Chapter 84: Please, No Young Masters
Xue Qiang smiled shyly. "Thanks, Fanfan. We can go now."
Feng Fan nodded but glanced at her with admiration. "Qinqin, where did you get such a beautiful outfit? Now I feel bad going out with you while wearing these plain sect robes."
Her smile widened as she stepped closer to him. "I don't mind. As long as I'm with you, it doesn't matter what you wear."
Feng Fan scratched the back of his head, a little embarrassed. "Alright, but next time, I promise I'll wear something better."
Xue Qiang's eyes lit up at his words. 'Next time…'
She smiled warmly. "I'll hold you to that. So, where are we going today?"
Feng Fan paused to think before replying.
"I was planning to head to the Seventh Peak since there are some nice restaurants and bars there. But seeing as you're not wearing sect robes, how about we go outside instead? I've heard there's a city about five hundred kilometers from here, as big as Cloudveil. What do you think?"
"Do you mean Blueriver? I actually went there a few days ago to buy this dress and these heels. I think it would be a great idea!"
"Really? I didn't know they sold clothes like these, so similar to Earth's, out here."
Xue Qiang nodded. "They do! And they aren't hard to find."
"That's good to know. Maybe I'll pick up some clothes for myself while we're there. Alright then, let's go."
With that, Feng Fan stepped out of Xue Qiang's quarters, and she followed closely behind, her heels clicking softly against the floor.
Feng Fan glanced back at her with a smile. "Let me give you a ride."
Retrieving the Suppression Relic from his space ring, he tossed it forward and enlarged it with a surge of spiritual qi.
Stepping onto the brick, he extended his hand toward Xue Qiang, his smile warm and inviting.
"Shall we, my lady?"
Xue Qiang blushed faintly as she reached out to take his hand. 'He's so charming today.'
Once she was safely aboard, Feng Fan guided the brick into the air, propelling it toward Blueriver City in a flash.
Unbeknownst to them, a pair of piercing black eyes tracked their ascent, a sly grin curling beneath them.
"At last, I've found you, Feng Fan," a low voice muttered.
When Feng Fan and Xue Qiang arrived in Blueriver City, countless eyes turned their way.
Most of the attention was focused on Xue Qiang's striking appearance.
"Wow, who is that gorgeous woman?"
"She looks like a fairy!"
Even in the sect's robes, Xue Qiang's beauty had always drawn attention, but now, dressed elegantly, her allure had increased several times over.
Noticing the stares and murmurs, Feng Fan let out a quiet sigh.
'This smells like trouble. Maybe I should've just stayed in the sect,' he thought.
Xue Qiang, already accustomed to being the center of attention, paid no mind to the crowd's whispers. "So, Fanfan, where are we headed?"
Feng Fan said with a shrug. "Do you have any place in mind? If not, we can just wander around until we find something that looks interesting."
"Alright, let's just walk then," Xue Qiang agreed with a smile.
Taking her hand, Feng Fan led the way as they strolled through the bustling streets. He couldn't help but notice the constant stares trailing after them.
'Please, no young masters. Please, no young masters,' he silently prayed, his grip tightening slightly. Continue reading at empire
Xue Qiang noticed Feng Fan's hand tightening around hers and assumed he was nervous. Her heart skipped a beat at the thought that he might be nervous about being on his first date with her.
After a few minutes of strolling, Feng Fan's eyes landed on a three-story, luxurious restaurant that stood out from the others. Its grand design exuded elegance and refinement.
The sign above the entrance read 'Crimson Moon Banquet Hall'.
Feng Fan's eyes lit up as he looked at the restaurant's stunning appearance.
Its architecture reflected an elegant ancient Chinese design, with intricate carvings and curved eaves that exuded a sense of timeless beauty.
The deep red hues adorning the building's exterior reminded him of Xue Qiang's striking hair, adding an almost poetic connection that made the place feel even more fitting for their outing.
"Hey, Qinqin, how about this Crimson Moon Banquet Hall? It's the best place we've passed by," Feng Fan suggested.
Xue Qiang glanced at the restaurant, her eyes lighting up. "Yeah, sounds perfect."
After deciding on their lunch spot, they entered. The large red and black double doors swung open to greet them.
An elegantly dressed waiter approached and, as his gaze landed on Xue Qiang, his expression shifted slightly, but he quickly masked it.
He recognized Feng Fan's clothes, and the last thing he wanted was to get into trouble for staring at a woman of an official disciple from the White Crow Sect.
Although the White Crow Sect had been in decline, it was still regarded as a dominant force in such a small city. The strongest cultivator here was only in the Golden Core Formation realm, and the city housed many ordinary mortals.
"Welcome. May I suggest a table for the couple?" he asked with a polite smile.
At the mention of being a couple, Xue Qiang blushed slightly. The usually composed and dominant woman seemed to transform into a shy, lovestruck girl when she was near Feng Fan.
Feng Fan nodded at the waiter's suggestion. "Yes, please. It's our first time here."
The waiter smiled and nodded. "Let me escort you to the second floor."
In the Crimson Moon Banquet Hall, the higher the floor, the more prestigious the guests.
Although the waiter wasn't sure of their exact strength or status, as long as one of them was an official disciple of the White Crow Sect, they were entitled to sit on the second or third floor.
Feng Fan and Xue Qiang followed the waiter up the marble staircase, eventually arriving at a table near the window. The table was crafted from a red wood that Feng Fan had never seen before.
