12: Afternoon Nap
Eager to rest, Gu Yu didn’t notice Gu Mengyao’s unusual behavior. So after pulling her to the wooden bed in the room, Gu Yu immediately took off his shoes and got into bed. The old wooden bed made creaking sounds, making Gu Mengyao blush even more, her mind wandering to inappropriate thoughts.
“Aren’t you going to sleep?”
“Ah Yu, I think it’s a bit too soon. Can we wait a few years? I… I haven’t grown up yet.”
“What does sleeping have to do with growing up?”
“I… my figure isn’t good. I can’t sleep with you now!”
Originally, Gu Yu was confused about why Gu Mengyao looked like she was heading to the execution ground when it was just an afternoon nap. But when her last sentence came out, Gu Yu almost burst out laughing.
No wonder ancient people matured early. This little loli Gu Mengyao was only in her early teens, hadn’t even had her first period, yet was already thinking about activities unsuitable for children.
Fortunately, seeing his wife’s embarrassed expression, Gu Yu finally decided not to clarify this misunderstanding.
If Gu Mengyao knew he simply wanted to sleep, she might never dare to look him in the eye again…
“Mm, alright. I’ll wait for you to grow up.”
“I’ll try my best.”
The blush on Gu Mengyao’s face never subsided. Her voice now sounded like a mosquito’s hum, making Gu Yu unable to hold back his amusement. To avoid revealing it, he directly lay down on the inner side of the bed, pulling his shy little wife to lie on the outer side.
However, seeing how tense Gu Mengyao’s body was, he guessed she wouldn’t sleep well later.
From this, one could deduce that the relationship between Gu Yu’s predecessor and Gu Mengyao wasn’t close. Perhaps this was the first time they had lain on the same bed.
Not surprisingly, Gu Yu’s guess was correct.
Although the thatched cottage was quite dilapidated, it still had several separated rooms. However, since Gu Yu came to the Gu family, he had always slept alone in one room, while Gu Mengyao and Gu Qingheng slept in another.
Their current location was the room where Gu Yu had been sleeping. Gu Mengyao, because of her guess that Gu Yu wanted to engage in certain inappropriate activities with her, allowed herself to be pulled in without resistance.
But as soon as she entered the room, Gu Mengyao became nervous.
She couldn’t explain why; she simply felt afraid. After all, her body hadn’t matured yet, and if Gu Yu forced himself on her, she couldn’t resist.
Because they were already married.
But after Gu Yu said he wouldn’t do it so early, before Gu Mengyao could even let out her held breath, Gu Yu directly pulled her onto the bed.
Although Gu Mengyao’s rigid posture looked pitiful, Gu Yu had no intention of letting her leave.
It was better to adapt early to what needed adapting. Gu Yu’s life was already bound to Gu Mengyao, and although he wasn’t used to it either, for the sake of their future life together, he needed to familiarize himself.
Because of the space, Gu Yu definitely had to spend his life with Gu Mengyao, but Gu Mengyao didn’t have this constraint.
Although Gu Mengyao didn’t seem like the fickle type, Gu Yu didn’t dare relax.
He had seen many types of women in modern times, including countless white lotuses. Gu Yu didn’t want to experience the feeling of having a grassland on his head.
After all, the story of Pan Jinlian and Ximen Dajia was widely circulated in ancient times…
So he needed to nip any possible buds in the bud now, letting Gu Mengyao know that Gu Yu was her only man.
With this in mind, Gu Yu became dissatisfied with their current rigid posture lying on the bed. He directly reached out and wrapped his arm around Gu Mengyao’s slender waist. Only after pulling her into his embrace did he close his eyes with satisfaction.
Although Gu Mengyao was a bit thin, holding a girl’s soft body was still very comfortable, making Gu Yu fall into a deep sleep without any resistance.
But Gu Mengyao’s face turned even redder, and lying in bed, she couldn’t fall asleep no matter how she tried.
