Naruto: A True Monster

'That should by enough time till I return to Konoha'

Hiruzen finally remembered his loyal companion. He turned towards the staff only to show a more horrified look. His staff had transformed back into Monkey King Enma however unlike his usual grumpy old self, his hairy face was pale as he clutched his thighs which were bleeding while grunting in pain. His legs had been severed from the knee.

Hiruzen quickly arrived beside Enma placing his hand on both stumps, creating fuinjutsu seals that stopped the bleeding.

"We need to return above ground" said Hiruzen in a somber tone. "Staying underground while he can sense us is no better than being a sitting duck."

Monkey King Enma nodded.

Hiruzen performed the earth release technique 'Shifting mole technique' shifting the earth around them, raising them upwards. The next second, however, Monkey King Enma suddenly pushed Hiruzen forward. Hiruzen looked backwards only to see Monkey King Enma sigh at him before splitting into two, his organs and body halves spilling and falling on the floor. Hiruzen, while shocked, didn't stop moving breaking through to the surface in the next second.

Yuu, sensing Hiruzen emerging on the surface, immediately dashed forward, his sword ready to cleave his head only for someone to appear in front of him blocking his sword with his long white hair which had turned into numerous powerful spikes.

'Taijutsu technique: Needle Jizo'

The hairs launched themselves towards Yuu who quickly blocked them with rapid swings of his swords however in doing so, he gave the newcomer enough time to grab Hiruzen and retreat a dozen meters away. Yuu gazed at the person who had just saved Hiruzen.

The man was tall and in his 50's, dressed in a grey outfit with a red coat on top. At his heels was sandals which were raised by a couple of inches. On his face were two red streaks that passed through his eyes running top to bottom while on his head was a headband labelled 'Oil'. Yuu recognized the person immediately as he was one of the most famous characters in Naruto.

'Jiraiya, one of the three legendary Sannin'

"Jiraiya?" asked Hiruzen in disbelief and relief at the sight of one of his disciples. "What are you doing here?"

"I was on my way to Konoha when I sensed your chakra, so I came over to find out what you were doing. Good thing I did" said Jiraiya with a half serious/half playful face as he gazed at the shinobi who had caused so much damage to Hiruzen. Despite his age, Hiruzen was a powerful Peak Kage shinobi so someone capable of causing him such harm was not one to be taken lightly.

"You need to leave and head back to the village. I'll cover your escape" said Jiraiya as he noticed the seals covering his amputated left arm. While the seals were powerful, they were only a temporary solution and the longer they took, the harder it would be for the Hokage to re-attach his arm.

"Jiraiya?!..."

"You still have your hand, right?"

Hiruzen nodded

"Then go."

Hiruzen looked at Jiraiya with a serious gaze and nodded before quickly flickering away.

"Be careful Jiraiya, your opponent is quite powerful. Also watch out for his water blades."

Jiraiya focused on the enemy in front of him.

"So, who are you?"

Yuu didn't answer. Instead, he formed a few rapid seals.

'Water style: Water Cleaver Bombardment'

Yuu's shadow clones cast the same jutsus. Immediately dozens of water blades formed and launched towards Jiraiya. Jiraiya, heeding Hiruzen's warning, slammed his hand on the ground.

With a loud puff of smoke, a giant toad appeared. It was the size of an eight-story building. It was red in colour and in its hands was a large two tonged spiked prong and in the other was a large shield.

'Summoning jutsu: Gamaken'

"Gamaken, forward!" shouted Jiraiya.

Gamaken, having trained with Jiraiya multiple times, understood his request. He immediately raised his large shield, the size of buildings, blocking the water blades. The shield trembled with each impact until finally the attacks stopped. Jiraiya, seeing that Gamaken's shield was fine, heaved a sigh of relief however his relief was too soon.

Jiraiya noticed two large horizontal water pillars heading towards him. Gamaken, the loyal summon, jumped in front of Jiraiya ready to block the water pillars however when the water pillars came into contact with the shield, the shield shattered into thousands of tiny pieces hardly stopping the water pillars. The pillars collided with Gamaken pushing him back right into Jiraiya's path.

Jiraiya seeing this acted fast.

'Earth style: Quadruple Mud wall'

Four gigantic mud walls appeared behind Gamaken slowing him down as he burst through each wall until finally Gamaken came to a stop. He had left a trail of destruction and death across his path including damaging numerous trees in the forest.

Gamaken attempted to stand up only to cough up a mouthful of red blood.

"Looks like I took a bit of internal damage. I'm sorry but I don't think I will be of any more help Jiraiya." Apologized Gamaken as he coughed up another mouthful.

"No need to apologize Gamaken. You should head back and heal up."

Gamaken nodded and cancelled the summoning Jutsu turning into a puff of smoke as he vanished returning back to Mount Myoboku.

Jiraiya wasted no time once more performing the summoning Jutsu except this time he summoned three toads. One was gigantic, a bit larger than Gamaken dressed in a blue robe, smoking a pipe with a sheathed tanto on his waist. The other two however were smaller about the size of a small dog. The two small frogs were quite old with one having curly purple hair and the other white hair. Yuu recognised the three frogs.

'Fukasaku 'the white haired', Shima 'the purple haired' and Gamabunta 'the large one''

Yuu, upon seeing the three frogs appear immediately became serious especially when he saw the two old frogs Fukasaku and Shima. Two powerful sage frogs with great mastery of senjutsu techniques and experiences borne from living a few centuries.

"Jiraiya boy, why have you summoned us?" asked Shima.

"I was in a bit of trouble hence needed help." Said Jiraiya while scratching his head in embarrassment. "See that guy in front of us, he managed to heavily injure old man Sarutobi and Gamaken making him quite dangerous hence I need to enter that mode to deal with him"

"Gamabunta. Buy me some time. Also watch out for his water style techniques. They are much more powerful than the ordinary."
