Chapter 21: Chapter 20

Seeing Yoruha's reaction, Kakashi was somewhat surprised.

"You really are different from others. Most kids would feel proud and think they're amazing after hearing such words, thinking I have high expectations for them."

"But you don't show even a trace of arrogance."

Kakashi hadn't expected Yoruha to be so composed and mature.

Yoruha frowned slightly. "Thinking you're amazing just because of that would be wrong. I'm very aware of my abilities."

"Reaching Jōnin level in six months? Impossible. And going on missions with you? Even less likely."

"I'd like to keep living, after all."

Kakashi chuckled. "But Toichi and I both believe you have that potential."

"Then you're both overestimating me. I don't have that kind of ability," Yoruha said, shaking his head.

"Well, whether you have that ability or not, we'll only know after testing it."

Kakashi didn't dwell on the topic further.

He genuinely believed Yoruha could achieve Jōnin-level skills in six months.

Without saying more, Kakashi pulled a small piece of paper from his ninja tool pouch.

Handing it to Yoruha, he said, "This is a chakra nature paper. It will reveal your chakra nature."

Yoruha hesitated for a moment before taking the paper, though Kakashi didn't notice his hesitation.

In truth, Yoruha didn't want Kakashi to know he possessed all five chakra natures.

In the ninja world, having all five chakra natures was exceedingly rare. Even in Konoha, the only ones Yoruha knew of were Kakashi and the Third Hokage.

"Just channel your chakra into it, and you'll see. Go ahead and try," Kakashi instructed.

Yoruha's gaze sharpened slightly, and in an instant, his chakra surged into the paper.

Kakashi's eyes locked onto the paper in Yoruha's hand, eager to see how many chakra natures Yoruha had.

Most people only had one nature, and those with two were already exceptional.

Even many Jōnin started with only one chakra nature, and any additional natures were usually acquired through rigorous training.

However, chakra natures acquired through training were naturally much weaker than those one was born with.

Kakashi secretly hoped Yoruha had lightning nature chakra so he could teach him the Chidori.

The moment Yoruha infused his chakra into the paper, it instantly reacted.

The paper split cleanly in two. One half became damp as water soaked through it, while the other half crumpled up.

Then, a small flame ignited a portion of the crumpled paper, burning a hole through it, while the remaining parts disintegrated into powder like crushed stone.

Kakashi was utterly dumbfounded, left speechless.

Yoruha, too, was momentarily stunned.

Although he already knew he had all five chakra natures, this was the first time he had confirmed it in practice.

Once Kakashi recovered, he stared at Yoruha with an expression of shock.

"You… You actually possess all five chakra natures. This… This is incredible!"

"It's been so many years—so many years since a ninja with all five chakra natures appeared in Konoha."

"Yoruha, you're destined to become a ninja as great as the Fourth Hokage."

Seeing Kakashi's excited expression, Yoruha felt at a loss for words.

While he knew his abilities were special, the enthusiasm Kakashi showed was overwhelming.

Having five chakra natures was indeed impressive, but Kakashi himself also had all five chakra natures—was it really worth getting so excited over?

Moreover, Kakashi compared Yoruha to the Fourth Hokage.

Though Yoruha believed he would eventually surpass the Fourth Hokage, at the moment, the man still felt like an unattainable figure.

"Kakashi-sensei, aren't you exaggerating? Is it really that rare to have these chakra natures?"

Yoruha chose not to reveal his understanding of chakra natures.

This kind of knowledge wasn't something a Genin was expected to have.

Although the Ninja Academy covered basic chakra nature theory, chakra paper wasn't included in their curriculum, and he'd certainly never used it before.

Yoruha's question pulled Kakashi back to reality.

Kakashi smiled. "You don't understand. Having all five chakra natures means you possess every chakra attribute. Isn't that something worth getting excited about?"

At the time, Kakashi didn't know much about yin and yang attributes either.

He assumed Yoruha would be as thrilled as he was to learn about his chakra abilities.

But to his surprise, Yoruha remained calm and simply nodded. "That's not bad. Does it mean I can learn ninjutsu from all the chakra natures?"

Kakashi felt at a loss. "You don't seem surprised at all."

Yoruha's expression stayed neutral, showing no hint of excitement.

"What's there to be surprised about? I'm only interested in whether I can learn ninjutsu from all the natures."

Kakashi shook his head. "You really are different from other kids your age."

"But fine, you're right. With five chakra natures, you can learn ninjutsu from all of them."

"Do you know how rare it is to have all five chakra natures?"

"Based on how excited you were just now, I'd say it's pretty uncommon," Yoruha replied.

Kakashi nodded. "Exactly. It's extremely rare. That's why I was so excited earlier."

"As far as I know, in Konoha, the only people with all five chakra natures are you, me, and the Third Hokage."

Yoruha smiled faintly. "So you also have all five chakra natures, Sensei? Well, that makes sense, given your nickname as the 'Copy Ninja.'"

"Without the corresponding chakra natures, copying your opponent's jutsu would be pretty difficult, wouldn't it?"

Kakashi nodded. "Exactly. While the Sharingan allows me to copy many techniques, it's not omnipotent."

"If the user doesn't have the corresponding chakra nature, certain jutsu can't be copied."

"Also, forbidden jutsu and Kekkei Genkai techniques are beyond its scope."

"Taijutsu is also challenging to replicate."

Kakashi, clearly valuing Yoruha, explained the Sharingan's limitations in detail.

Although it wasn't a big secret, most ordinary ninjas weren't privy to such specifics.

For a Genin like Yoruha, this kind of knowledge was even more unlikely to be known.

This demonstrated just how much Kakashi trusted him.

Yoruha, of course, already knew these things, so he wasn't particularly surprised.

Kakashi patted Yoruha's shoulder with satisfaction.

"Starting today, I'll subject you to the harshest training to ensure you master all the necessary ninjutsu as quickly as possible."

"You'd better be prepared for it."

Yoruha nodded. "I don't mind."

"But I can only promise to give it my best effort."

Kakashi smiled, clearly pleased.

Yoruha's potential was extraordinary.

He was like an unpolished gem—one that only needed a bit of refining to shine brilliantly.
