Chapter 23: Chapter 23

The MC Jonin instructor is Kihon Toichi I fixed the last chapter. Happy Readings :D

What surprised Yoruha the most was the rapid increase in his chakra.

His chakra levels were now nearing Kakashi's.

It was worth noting that even among jonin, Kakashi's chakra reserves were considered quite high.

The reason he often seemed to lack chakra during battles was due to the incompatibility between his body and the Sharingan.

Since he didn't possess the Uchiha bloodline, his body couldn't fully adapt to the Sharingan, which consumed a massive amount of chakra as it couldn't be deactivated.

Without the Sharingan's drain, Kakashi's chakra reserves would easily rival those of most Kage-level shinobi.

At just twelve years old, he could casually perform the "Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall," a B-rank jutsu with a range of dozens of meters.

This showcased just how vast his chakra reserves were without the Sharingan's limitations.

Yet, Yoruha now had chakra reserves almost equivalent to Kakashi's, a feat that was astonishing.

The increase in chakra also greatly enhanced Yoruha's physical strength and mental energy.

While most people extracted chakra from their own bodies, Yoruha's chakra was drawn from the natural world.

This meant that the more chakra he accumulated, the more it nourished his body.

After all, Yoruha's chakra was transformed from natural energy.

To handle such an enormous amount of chakra, his body needed to have the durability to sustain it.

"I wonder if this rapid growth in chakra is just because I'm starting out. As my chakra levels grow, the rate of increase might slow down," Yoruha mused.

He thought that his chakra was growing so quickly because his foundation was still weak, and his initial reserves were relatively small.

What he failed to consider was that his current chakra levels were already comparable to Kakashi's at over twenty years old—despite the fact that he was only twelve.

Even Naruto, without counting the Nine-Tails' chakra, had chakra reserves only about equal to Kakashi's.

This was primarily due to the Four Symbols Seal placed by the Fourth Hokage, which converted the leaked Nine-Tails chakra into Naruto's own.

It was evident how terrifyingly large Yoruha's chakra reserves had become.

The next day, after completing a D-rank mission with Toichi Tōichi, Yoruha found Kakashi already waiting for him at the training ground.

Kakashi stood on a tree in the training ground, holding a book.

Toichi couldn't help but sigh.

"You're in such a hurry. Did you really think I wouldn't let Yoruha go?"

Although he knew Kakashi was going to train Yoruha, he hadn't expected him to be this impatient.

They had just finished their mission, yet Kakashi was already waiting at the training ground.

By then, Jumoku and Tanako had already gone home.

Toichi had initially planned to keep Yoruha back to teach him some ninjutsu.

While he wasn't skilled in combat, some interrogation-based ninjutsu could still be useful.

However, Kakashi didn't give him the chance.

Standing beside Toichi, Yoruha looked up at Kakashi perched on the tree, feeling slightly awkward.

Although he knew Toichi had already agreed to Kakashi's training, having both teachers present gave him a faint sense of betrayal toward Toichi.

Kakashi closed the novel in his hand and jumped down from the tree.

"I didn't take on any missions today, so I have the time," he explained.

"Let's go, Yoruha," Kakashi said, walking over to him.

Yoruha glanced at Toichi.

Kakashi added calmly, "Your teacher has already agreed."

Kihon Tōichi, although somewhat helpless, had originally wanted to teach Yoruha a ninjutsu. However, now that Kakashi had arrived, he had no choice but to let Yoruha go.

He patted Yoruha on the shoulder and said, "Make sure to learn well. This guy may seem laid-back, but his strength is no joke. In Konoha, aside from the Third Hokage, he's already the strongest ninja."

Since Tsunade and Jiraiya were not in Konoha, Kihon Tōichi's words were not far from the truth.

After speaking, Kihon Tōichi turned and vanished into the distance. He feared that if he stayed any longer, he might be tempted to keep Yoruha.

Looking at the spot where Kihon Tōichi had disappeared, Yoruha remarked, "Teacher Tōichi really holds Kakashi-sensei in high regard."

Kakashi gave a faint smile. "He wants you to grow stronger, to become a pillar that can protect the village."

Seizing the opportunity, Kakashi began a brief lecture.

Yoruha didn't mind it and nodded. "I won't disappoint him."

"Kakashi-sensei, didn't you guys accept a mission today?" Yoruha asked.

Kakashi nodded. "Yes, we just completed a mission, so I gave them a break."

"Alright, before we start training, let's grab something to eat. It's hard to train on an empty stomach."

Yoruha looked at Kakashi, surprised. "Kakashi-sensei, you don't expect me to treat you, do you?"

Yoruha was well aware that Kakashi was notoriously stingy.

Kakashi blinked in confusion at Yoruha's surprised expression, feeling a little awkward. It seemed his stinginess had been noticed.

However, he truly hadn't expected Yoruha to treat him.

"Why would you think that?" Kakashi asked.

"Let's go. Of course, I'll treat you."

Yoruha's lips twitched slightly. "I hope so."

It wasn't that Yoruha minded treating Kakashi, but he was living off the inheritance left by his parents and had just completed a D-rank mission, so he didn't have much money.

However, since Kakashi was going to teach him ninjutsu, it made sense for Kakashi to treat him.

Kakashi sighed. "Is that how you see me?"

Yoruha gave him a wry smile as they walked.

Soon, the two arrived at the Ichiraku Ramen shop.

When the owner, Teuchi, saw Kakashi, he greeted him warmly. "Ah, Kakashi!"

Kakashi was well-known in Konoha, but Teuchi was a bit surprised when he saw Yoruha.

After all, Yoruha hadn't had much interaction with Kakashi before.

"Yoruha, what would you like to eat?" Ayame, Teuchi's daughter, asked, leaning on the counter as she smiled.

Yoruha smiled back. "I'll have a bowl of tonkotsu ramen."

Kakashi sat next to Yoruha. "Is one bowl enough?"

Yoruha nodded.

Since Yoruha didn't extract chakra from his body, he didn't need food to replenish his energy.

Kakashi seemed doubtful.

"Don't forget, there will be intense training later. One bowl of ramen won't cut it."

"It's fine, one bowl is enough."

Yoruha was very clear about his situation.

But Kakashi still turned to Teuchi and said, "Give him two more bowls. Three bowls of tonkotsu ramen, and I'll have three bowls of beef ramen."

Kakashi knew how exhausting the upcoming training would be, and he suspected Yoruha didn't quite understand that.

Although Yoruha was reluctant, he could only accept it.

After all, he couldn't explain that he didn't rely on his body's energy to maintain chakra.

The exchange between Kakashi and Yoruha left Teuchi in a state of shock.

He could tell that Kakashi treated Yoruha differently than others, almost like a father with his child.

But before, these two hadn't had any interaction.

He couldn't quite figure it out.

Nevertheless, Teuchi knew better than to ask about ninja matters.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to run his business for decades without it shutting down.
