Naruto: After Seclusion Becoming Naruto Grandfather

Chapter 115: Chapter 115

The more Uzumaki Chito thought about it, the more convinced he became of his theory. If it weren't for the naïve bloodline of the Senju clan, how could a child descended from the daimyo—a lineage steeped in intrigue and manipulation—display such innocence?

Chito placed his hand gently on Hikaru's small shoulder and channeled a stream of chakra into the boy's body.

As he suspected, a familiar yang chakra lay dormant within Hikaru, its essence unmistakable.

"So, it's true," Chito murmured to himself. "You carry the blood of the Senju clan in your veins."

Hikaru blinked up at him, confusion evident on his face. "Big brother, what's this 'Senju' you're talking about? And what's with your hand? It's all warm and tingly—it tickles!"

The title big brother made Chito's face twitch. Though his appearance remained youthful thanks to his regenerative abilities, and his strength was godlike, he was used to being addressed as grandpa or Lord. To suddenly be called big brother felt jarring, even for him.

But what struck him even more deeply was Hikaru's ignorance of the name Senju.

How could it come to this? Chito thought. Not so long ago, the Senju name, alongside Uchiha, had dominated an entire era. Now, less than sixty years after the death of Hashirama Senju, the name was fading into obscurity—even to descendants like Hikaru.

Chito sighed, a mix of sadness and resolve. "Child," he began, his tone gentle, "that warm sensation you feel is yang chakra. It represents the essence of the Senju clan—the power of life itself."

He looked directly into Hikaru's curious eyes. "You carry the blood of the Senju in your veins. Never forget this name, for it is a legacy worth remembering."

Hikaru's eyes widened as the weight of Chito's words began to sink in. His small frame seemed to swell with pride as he nodded vigorously.

"I'll remember, big brother! Senju... I'll never forget it!"

Then, with a spark of realization, Hikaru asked, "Big brother, does that mean the Senju are your family too?"

Chito nodded, his expression softening. "Yes, they are."

Hikaru's face lit up with excitement, though there was a hint of nervousness as he continued. "Naruto said that no matter what happens, he has his grandpa to protect him. If the Senju are your family, will you protect me too? If my father comes back and tries to hurt me, will you stop him?"

Chito studied the boy, his head tilted upward, eyes full of hope. Hikaru resembled a harmless rabbit seeking shelter from the storm. Chito couldn't help but laugh, his hearty voice filling the space around them.

"Yes, Hikaru, you're right. The Senju are my family," he said warmly. "As for protecting you..." Chito smirked teasingly. "That depends on you."

Hikaru blinked, confused but eager. "What do you mean?"

Chito's smile widened. "Calling me big brother isn't enough. Your ancestors were my apprentices—they called me grandpa. If you want my protection, you'll have to do the same."

Understanding dawned on Hikaru's face, and without hesitation, he beamed and shouted, "Grandpa!"

The word filled Chito with unexpected joy. He scooped up Hikaru, who barely reached his waist, and held him high.

"Good! From now on, you're my grandson. I'll make sure no harm comes to you, Hikaru. You'll be safe and secure for the rest of your life!"

At that moment, Naruto returned, his mission to summon the ministers of the Land of Fire complete. As he stepped into the room, he froze at the sight before him. Chito and Hikaru seemed unusually close, laughing together as if they had been family for years.

Naruto's blue eyes widened in confusion and just a hint of jealousy. "Grandpa, what's going on? I was only gone for a little while, and now you and Hikaru are acting like best friends!"

Naruto's tone carried a tinge of childish envy. Chito had always cared for him deeply, but never before had he seen his grandpa so openly affectionate. For the first time, Naruto felt as if someone had stolen his spotlight.

Chito, with his keen observation and godlike insight, immediately noticed Naruto's change in mood. Smiling knowingly, he reached out to ruffle Naruto's hair.

"Naruto, don't be jealous. I just discovered something interesting," Chito said. "Hikaru carries the blood of the Senju. That makes him your brother!"

Naruto blinked in surprise, the jealousy fading from his expression. "The Senju? You mean... like Granny Tsunade?"

Chito nodded.

Naruto's face lit up with recognition. "Wow, so Hikaru's related to Granny Tsunade? I thought she was the only one left in the Senju clan!"
