Naruto: An Informant from the Uchiha

Chapter 69: Chapter 69: Absolutely Disgusting

"Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique", just this one genjutsu was enough to incapacitate an Anbu member.

The sight of one's deepest fear held terrifying power, especially for these ANBU who harbored such profound wariness toward Orochimaru.

As screams echoed, Orochimaru licked his lips seductively. "How fragile life is…"

Swoosh!

Two long blades suddenly slashed down at him, but Orochimaru didn't even turn his head.

"Twin Snake Arms!"

With a sudden twist of his arms, two massive snake heads shot out, swallowing the Anbu blades, and the wielders, whole.

BOOM!!!

A massive explosion rocked the lab. Bloody chunks of snakes and Anbu rained down like a gruesome bloodstorm.

"Bastard!!!"

Jia struggled to stand. Though wounded, the injuries weren't enough to completely disable him.

Yun pressed a hand to his shoulder. "Don't be reckless. Unles your Wood Realease is on par with Uzumaki Ku's, you're jus in the way."

Swoosh!

Yun vanished and reappeared on the battlefield, casually tossing two Anbu out of harm's way as his Mangekyō Sharingan spun relentlessly.

At the center of the chaos, Orochimaru suddenly crouched and opened his mouth:

"Summoning: Ten Thousand Snakes!"

Countless snakes poured from his mouth like a broken faucet, quickly filling the underground lab.

Anbu Sixth Squad was overwhelmed, and Yun was hit with a wave of revulsion.

"These squishy, slimy creatures are beyond gross!"

"Fire Realease: Great Fire Annihilation!"

With his massive chakra reserves, Yun's flames surged across the lab, roasting the snakes instantly. The resulting stench of scorched meat was nauseating.

"Hissss…"

Orochimaru, flicking his snake-like tongue, laughed. "I never imagined Yun-kun's chakra was this vast. A single Fire Realease technique, and it already exerts such devastating power."

Yun shook his head in the distance. "If I didn't clean up, I wouldn't even know where to step."

Orochimaru lowered his head again, greed burning in his eyes. "Yun-kun, come with me. Someone with chakra like yours and the Mangekyō Sharingan doesn't belong in a place like Konoha."

"With me, you'll gain immortality, an eternity to learn every jutsu. Yun-kun, don't you want to uncover the secrets of this world?"

'Uh…'

Yun scratched his head from afar.

'What, should I tell you this whole world is just aliens planting trees, sealed away, and then their poor filial son tries to split a mountain to rescue his mother?'

'Konoha's environment is bad?'

'Going with you means not knowing where my next meal is coming from, pure idiocy!'

Boom!

With flames enveloping his blade, Yun instantly appeared before Orochimaru.

Slash!

Three fiery arcs burst forth from the sword, scorching everything in their path.

"Flame Blade: Sword Leap Flame!"

BOOM!!!

Orochimaru's body burst into mud and vanished.

But the next moment-

BOOM!!!

Yun drove his flaming blade into the floor, igniting a surge of fire that shattered the ground, kicking out a badly burned Orochimaru.

Elsewhere in the shadows, a blade fell. Blood spattered. A severed head, Orochimaru's, was kicked away by Yun's shadow clone.

Thud thud thud

The head rolled like a ball into the flames, yet Orochimaru's voice still echoed from the mouth:

"You can't kill me. With the power of immortality, no one can. Yun-kun… don't you want this power?"

Bang!

Yun's blade nailed the ground.

Blood pooled, and another Orochimaru corpse rose from the earth.

"Impressive, Yun-kun… Is this the Mangekyō's power? Just like before, you can always find my real body."

Yet again, the disgusting Orochimaru used his body-shedding technique, emerging covered in slimy saliva like he'd just molted. All his previous injuries were gone.

The two stood facing each other. Orochimaru still didn't dare look directly up, but even Yun was struggling against this slippery, evasive enemy.

Unless he kept fighting non-stop to deplete Orochimaru's chakra, but doing that would expose just how massive his chakra reserves were.

Hmm?

Yun glanced toward the entrance, and Orochimaru sensed it too.

"Hisss… So sensei has arrived?"

Just as he said that, the leader, Hiruzen Sarutobi, appeared at the entrance.

At first sight of the scene, he turned to Jia and asked, "Are you sure?"

Jia nodded. "Yes, Lord Third. Orochimaru has been confirmed using Konoha villagers as test subjects."

Hiruzen's expression darkened. He looked at the shattered glass around him and turned toward Orochimaru with deep emotion in his eyes.

"Orochimaru… what is this place? Why are you here?"

Yun gave a half-smile. 'The old man's soft-heartedness is flaring up again… Still trying to save him even in a situation like this.'

But Orochimaru clearly had no intention of accepting that kindness.

As he had said himself, Konoha's comfort could no longer give him what he wanted. All ninjutsu, the secrets of the shinobi world, immortality, Konoha had nothing left to offer.

"Sensei…"

Orochimaru shrugged. "As you can see, I'm developing new jutsu. Research always requires sacrifices, these are just sacrifices for my new techniques."

Hiruzen clenched his fists. "Orochimaru… do you even understand what you're saying?"

Orochimaru laughed. "Sensei, you've grown old. If you were still the legendary 'Proffesor"

"It's meaningless. No matter how brilliant a life is, even someone like you, who became Hokage, the end is still just a pile of dust."

"Life is too fragile, sensei. I once asked you: must everyone eventually face death?"

"But now… I've found a different path."

Hiruzen slowly closed his eyes. A tear rolled down his cheek.

That answer made it clear, this student would never come back. And Konoha… could no longer accept him.

This disciple, whom he'd cherished most of all, why?

"Summoning Jutsu: Enma!"

With a puff of smoke, the old Monkey King Enma appeared. Looking at Orochimaru, he said, "Hiruzen… so it's finally come to this."

The Third Hokage didn't answer, only extended his hand. "Transform. Since he's my student… I'll be the one to end it."

Orochimaru licked his lips and laughed. "Sensei… do you really have the heart to do it?"

Yun, who had stepped back, gathered the remaining Anbu of Squad Six. After this battle, his authority among them had been firmly established.

Otherwise, in the Anbu, where strength rules, they might not have followed him at all.
