Naruto: Born Gifted in Konoha

Chapter 110: Chapter 110: The Death of Hanzo

Hanzo knew there was no way he could escape today.

Under those sage-like eyes, all ninja techniques were futile. Especially because he was no longer at his peak—his body had aged, and his strength had declined.

As Hanzo's boss summon, Sanshouo had already done its best.

Hanzo was called the "Half-God," and half of that credit belonged to Sanshouo, his boss summon.

Poison and wide area attacks were Sanshouo's strongest abilities—exactly the kind ordinary ninjas couldn't resist.

But when this technique faced Yahiko, who had become a vessel for one of the [Six Paths] under Nagato's will, a weakened Hanzo lost yet another half of his strength.

"Heh... heh!" came Hanzo's labored breathing from behind his air mask.

"Amegakure—a fallen old god means the birth of a new one."

Nagato stretched out both hands as circles of chakra waves floated around him. Slowly, he began rising into the air.

"And I shall ascend to divinity! I will pull the Land of Rain out from the quagmire it's stuck in, and return with interest the pain the great nations once inflicted upon us small ones!"

At this point, Nagato hovered ten meters above the ground, overlooking the battlefield below.

"Ending your reign is our first step toward saying 'no' to this world!"

"Hanzo, you were once our role model, but now you've grown corrupt, losing the drive to lead the Land of Rain to prosperity!"

[Universal Pull]

A low, commanding voice erupted from Nagato's lips as his crimson hair whipped violently in the wind.

"Damn it!"

The moment Nagato spoke, Hanzo felt an irresistible force pulling him forward, slowly drawing him toward the airborne Nagato.

Whoosh! Hanzo flew toward Nagato, helplessness visible in his exposed eyes.

He'd already faced this technique before—one countered it with an ability that could reflect everything... even jutsu.

Tsch! Hanzo's eyes widened. Blood spilled from his mouth beneath the mask, trickling down from the edge of the mask.

Suspended midair, Hanzo was pierced through the heart by a black rod.

The rod entered through his chest and protruded from his back, dark red blood dripping drop by drop from the black rod onto the ground.

"This world will be changed by me!" Nagato stared coldly at Hanzo, whose vital spot had been pierced, slowly declaring his vision.

"I hope that's true!" Hanzo opened his eyes with difficulty. He could no longer resist—physical exhaustion combined with his injuries left him unable to even make unnecessary movements.

Boom! Nagato swung his arm, slamming Hanzo into the ground, instantly creating a crater.

The outcome of this valley battle was clear—the forces under Hanzo had been completely wiped out.

Some members of Akatsuki now stood behind Nagato, their faces filled with joy.

That Hanzo was no match for their leader became their reason to firmly believe in their organization's future success.

"Hehe!"

In the crater echoed Hanzo's laughter, feeble and desperate.

Nagato didn't budge. No one else did, either.

Konan stood silently beside Yahiko.

She truly hadn't expected that Hanzo, revered as a demigod, would be utterly powerless in Nagato's hands.

Thud! Nagato's foot stomped down on the ground before he lifted it and hovered about a meter above the surface.

"Yahiko, can you see it? Our victory is right here!"

Tears gathered in Konan's eyes as she looked toward Yahiko, who remained motionless without Nagato's command.

Hanzo lay on the ground, blood already pooling beneath him.

The gloomy sky was clearing, allowing rare rays of sunlight to break through.

Is this the dawn for the Land of Rain? Hanzo narrowed his eyes, an unbidden thought surfacing in his mind.

"He possesses such eyes... perhaps he really can change the current state of the Land of Rain. Who knows?"

Hanzo closed his eyes. Emptiness and weakness spread throughout his body.

Hiss! Explosive Tags activated beneath Hanzo — set there by himself.

He was certain Yahiko had died before his eyes.

Yet earlier during the battle, Yahiko reappeared and fought him again.

Though unsure what caused this phenomenon, Hanzo's ninja instincts told him clearly—he absolutely couldn't let Nagato take his body intact.

Boom! The massive explosion marked the end of Hanzo's era!

Nagato made no effort to stop Hanzo, simply watching everything unfold.

Hanzo was dead! A new era for the Land of Rain had begun!

...

"Saitama, quite an impressive fight, wouldn't you say?"

Zetsu's half-body emerged from the ground, the pale side showing a smile while Saitama stood beside him.

Both stood at a hidden spot in the valley, having completely witnessed this clash between old and new forces.

"So that's the Rinnegan's power? Truly amazing!"

Although Saitama had long known about some abilities of the Rinnegan, seeing them firsthand was even more awe-inspiring!

Those sage-like techniques—no matter how many times he saw them, his heart couldn't calm.

"Ready to go down?" White Zetsu continued, voice teasingly casual, entirely lacking tension despite witnessing such divine powers.

"Yeah, let's go!" Saitama nodded, stomping his foot and heading toward the battlefield.

The spectator phase ended. It was time for the main event!

His long hair was tied into a ponytail at the back, resting over his shoulder; most of his bangs were swept back, except for one strand drifting near his eyebrow.

"A meeting of great significance is about to begin!"

White Zetsu watched Saitama's back retreating into the distance, a grin curling up his lips, greenish hair gently blowing in the wind.

As Saitama walked away, White Zetsu slowly sank underground.

Black Zetsu hadn't spoken a word the entire time, remaining a silent observer untouched by the unfolding chaos.

...

Within the battlefield, with Hanzo's death, Sanshouo also wailed mournfully before dissolving into white smoke.

As a Boss Summon, it had done far more than most should ever do—but still couldn't save Hanzo's life.

Hanzo is dead. There was no reason for him to continue fighting any longer.

"Nagato, we've won!" Konan stepped forward a few paces and placed a hand on Nagato's shoulder.

Although the Rinnegan was powerful, it wasn't his own eye after all, and Nagato still felt somewhat weak.

He gently patted her hand but showed little emotion on his face. His expression remained cold.

"Konan, this is only the first step toward our new world!"

"Mm!" Konan straightened her expression, quickly suppressing the joy she had shown.

Meanwhile, the other ninja who followed Nagato couldn't hide their happiness. Smiles radiated from every face.

"Who's there?!"

Suddenly, Nagato spun around, staring toward the top of the valley.

There, a lone figure stood upright.

The sunlight shone from behind the figure, directly illuminating Nagato and the others, preventing them from clearly seeing the stranger's face.

Only now did Konan and the other organization members realize what was happening. They quickly assumed defensive stances.

Nagato had just come out of battle and was in his most vulnerable state. If enemies intended harm at this point, it would be the perfect opportunity.

"Yaya, don't get tense! I'm not your enemy."

Saitama raised both hands near his head in a helpless gesture.

Whoosh! Under Nagato's group's watchful eyes, Saitama leaped straight down from the cliff dozens of meters high.

The wind howled past his ears, sending a rush of exhilaration through him—it had been ages since he felt something like this.
