Chapter 5: Heavy
With one evolution point generated every hour, to this day, exactly 365 days had passed since he regained the memories of his past life and the system was activated.
Not counting the upcoming hours, he had accumulated a total of 8,753 evolution points.
The number of evolution points required for each subsequent evolution was different; in other words, the further evolution progressed, the more points were needed.
The first evolution required only 100 points, the second 500, and the third 1,000.
Now, for the fourth evolution, no less than 5,000 evolution points were needed.
The reason he had balanced the development of all his talents was not just to avoid weak points but for another reason.
If he focused solely on a single talent, the evolution costs would increase too quickly, leaving him with no room to improve in other areas.
To strengthen himself in the most efficient way, the best approach was to distribute his evolution in a balanced manner.
And the results spoke for themselves.
Only a year had passed since his awakening. His talents had not developed all at once but progressively. Even so, he had already far surpassed all his peers of the same age.
As for his Chakra reserves… well, there wasn't much to say.
He possessed a chakra amount equivalent to that of a Jōnin, something completely absurd for someone his age. Even within the Senju and Uzumaki clans, very few could compare to him.
Then there were the three fundamental disciplines: Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu.
With three complete evolutions, his training in these areas had been astounding.
The techniques his parents had left behind were already fully mastered, reaching an extremely high level of proficiency.
That said, he had not yet graduated. His real combat experience was limited to duels with his Academy classmates.
But even with that limitation, he could estimate his strength to be at least at the level of a Chūnin.
Attention to the word "at least."
That was just a conservative estimate, based on his lack of real combat experience. His true power could only be measured in a life-or-death battle.
"Graduate...?"
After reviewing the state of his talents, his thoughts turned to tomorrow's exam.
He had no intention of graduating early, but this was a massive graduation test organized by the Academy.
With his usual performance, failing on purpose would be too suspicious.
Besides, he already had some expectations about this test. After all, in the original story, characters like Kurenai and Obito graduated at nine years old.
After a year of controlled growth, his level was already solid enough. If he couldn't avoid it, graduating wouldn't be a problem. At most, it would only slightly reduce his training time.
But there was a more important issue: resources.
The constant advancement of his talents had made his power increase rapidly, but it had also accelerated the consumption of his limited supplies.
For example, in Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu, he had already completely mastered all the techniques he inherited from his parents and the ones he received from the clan as a reward for his talent.
Continuing to train without new stimuli would still improve his strength, but it would inevitably slow his growth.
He needed more resources.
"This exam won't just serve to graduate but also to showcase my talent once again."
If he wanted to obtain more resources, he had to turn to his clan. And to receive better treatment within the clan, his only bargaining chip was his exceptional talent.
Although he was fully aware of the existence of the Pro-Tobirama faction, he couldn't let that stop his progress.
At the end of the day, his only guarantee of safety and power was to possess overwhelming strength.
Hiding too much would only delay the problem, but it wouldn't solve it at its root.
If he wanted to grow, he had to take risks.
With his decision made, he stopped worrying. As he rested, he shifted his gaze toward the training of his clones.
For most people, training with shadow clones was extremely dangerous. The information overload upon dispelling them could cause extreme fatigue or even mental damage.
But he was not like the others.
His Constitution had evolved three times. As long as he didn't overuse the number of clones, there was no problem.
Nine clones. Three groups. Three different training regimens.
The first group of three was focused on Taijutsu.
Although shadow clones couldn't improve physical conditioning, they could refine techniques.
The second group of three was on the water, training fire chakra nature transformation.
Like most Uchiha, his chakra had a natural affinity with fire.
But he knew that true prodigies did not limit themselves to their innate talent. Water countered fire, so instead of avoiding his weakness, he decided to turn it into a training tool.
His clones submerged their hands in the stream, forcing their fire chakra to ignite in a hostile environment. The water flowed over their palms, constantly extinguishing the flames.
But the harder the process, the more effective the improvement.
Finally, the last group of three clones.
Sitting on a board supported by wooden rods, balancing themselves to avoid falling, they were training body control and mental fortitude.
The control over his clones was evident: any mistake, no matter how small, would make them lose balance and fall.
But mental fortitude was even more important. Both Genjutsu practice and chakra control required a firm and focused mind.
In short, his three groups of clones were training Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu simultaneously.
"It's time to return."
After a proper rest, he stood up, stretched his muscles a little, and looked up at the sky. The sunset painted the horizon in warm tones.
With a simple gesture, he dispelled his shadow clones.
Poof… Poof… Poof…
Nine clouds of smoke burst around him as the clones disappeared.
Immediately, a wave of information and fatigue coursed through his body. He felt a slight dizziness, but with a deep breath, he quickly adapted. Thanks to his powerful constitution, the feeling of exhaustion faded with ease.
After a few seconds of recovery, he began removing his training gear.
Shadow clones couldn't improve physical conditioning, so he had implemented a rigorous weight training regimen to balance his growth in all areas.
Not only did he wear weighted wrist and ankle bands, but he also wore a heavy vest.
All his training equipment was made of special materials and had a disproportionately high weight compared to his size.
The wristbands and ankle weights weighed fifty and one hundred kilograms, respectively, while the vest weighed two hundred kilograms.
In total, even during his most basic physical training, his body endured an additional five hundred kilograms.
