Chapter 35: Chapter 20:The Anime will begin Soon!

The third year of the academy had already started, and three months had passed since ninjutsu was introduced into the curriculum. The new focus on ninjutsu consisted of E-rank techniques and the chakra control exercise known as the leaf-sticking exercise. Yuto, along with Naruko and Hitomi, had already mastered this exercise; they could keep a leaf attached to their foreheads effortlessly. The clan heirs, too, seemed to have picked it up quickly.

For E-rank techniques, Yuto found them manageable over these few months, though he hadn't fully mastered them yet. He could summon only one clone with the Clone Jutsu, switch with objects within a limited 3-meter radius using the Substitution Jutsu, and his Transformation Jutsu still had small, noticeable flaws. Yet even with these limitations, Yuto was far ahead of his peers. His Kamigan ability, specifically the "Scanner," allowed him to break down and understand techniques in great detail, making every learning process almost intuitive for him.

In the quiet of his dorm room at night, Yuto focused on feeding the four crows perched around him. These crows were critical to his mastery of the Crow Clone Jutsu; the first step required him to build trust and tame them. With time, he had bonded with the birds, and now he was ready for the next stage: applying a transformation Genjutsu on them.

Yuto concentrated, channeling his chakra carefully. Unlike a standard Genjutsu, this transformation would allow him to speak through the crows as if they were an extension of himself. He knew he wasn't yet at the level where he could fully control this—eventually, a master of the Crow Clone Jutsu could make the crows not only mirror his appearance but even communicate on his behalf, effectively turning them into true clones. But for now, he focused on the foundation: making the crows recognize and respond to his chakra signatures and basic commands.

'Let's see if they're ready for this,' he thought, gently placing his hand on one crow's feathered head. The bird remained calm, eyes meeting his Kamigan with what he took as trust. Channeling his chakra, he cast the Genjutsu, watching as the crow's form subtly shimmered and it's eyes flickered a little red, before it subsided. It was a start atleast.

"It's a start," Yuto murmured to himself, nodding. Yuto then turned his focus to the screen before him, displaying his status after the sports festival rewards.

Yuto studied the new abilities for his Kamigan carefully, double-checking their descriptions to fully understand their applications.

The first ability, Chakra Anchor, allowed him to place a temporary chakra mark on anything, living or non-living, for around five minutes. This mark would let Yuto track the marked target's location from miles away, essentially making it impossible for them to hide from him during that window. 'This is going to be great for tracking,' he thought, visualizing different scenarios.

The second ability, Chakra Switch, intrigued him even more. This ability allowed Yuto to switch places with anything marked by Chakra Anchor. It functioned almost like the Flying Raijin Jutsu, but instead of teleporting to a fixed point, he could switch to the location of any marked object or person. 'If I mark a kunai mid-battle and throw it, I could switch places with it on a whim. This could open up so many tactical options,' he considered, a grin forming on his face.

With these skills, he realized he now had a blend of mobility and tracking that could rival advanced techniques. "Seems like these new powers will come in handy," he murmured, eager to put them to use in his next training session.

Yuto took a deep breath, feeling the thrill of his progress but choosing to stay focused. He glanced over the pending quest for Tree Walking, noting the next step required him to maintain the technique while actively engaging in combat. So far, he could comfortably hold his position on the tree with three leaves sticking to him for an hour, but combining that with battle moves was still a work in progress.

'Just need to keep my chakra balanced, even during movement,' he thought. He knew this level of control could be tricky but rewarding; mastering it would enhance both his concentration and chakra control in any combat situation. The training was intense, but he could already feel the benefit in his other skills, even in the way he moved.

With his new abilities from the Kamigan and his steady progress on tree-walking, Yuto felt more prepared than ever.

Yuto took a closer look at the new quest that appeared after his second year ended, feeling both a thrill and a pressure building. The quest laid out a challenge: to become as strong as possible within the next year and seven months, a time frame that would lead directly into the anime's beginning.

[Quest:Prepare for the Anime!

Objective: Reach the highest strength possible in the allotted time.

Reward: 1 Mystery Box, 5 points to all stats, 3 free stat points, 3 luck points (Reward quality of the mystery box will depends on strength achieved by the host).]

What struck him most was that he would receive no new quests until he completed this one and his pending Tree Walking task. He knew the goal would demand all his focus.

Yuto nodded, determination sparking in his eyes. 'One year and seven months. I'll make the most of every day.' With that thought, he resolved to step up his training.
