Chapter 7: Chapter 7:I am Hokage!

Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, leaned back in his chair as the ANBU finished delivering the report. The morning sunlight filtered through the window, casting a soft glow across the office. Despite the seriousness of the situation, a smile tugged at the corners of Hiruzen's lips."This is quite an unexpected development," he murmured, his fingers lightly brushing the surface of the desk. "But a welcomed one, nonetheless."

The thought of Naruko training under someone like Guy brought a sense of relief. After all the hardship and isolation she had endured as the vessel for the Nine-Tails, the fact that Yuto, a boy with no clan influence or ill will toward her, was showing genuine kindness was refreshing. Hiruzen had been watching over Naruko closely, concerned about her well-being and the village's harsh treatment of her.

"Guy may not be from a powerful clan, but his values are solid," Hiruzen continued, as much to himself as to the ANBU. "His dedication to hard work and perseverance will help both Naruko and Yuto develop into fine shinobi. Plus, with them seeking his guidance instead of me assigning it, the council won't be able to interfere."

The ANBU agent stood silently, awaiting further instructions. Hiruzen waved his hand dismissively. "Continue to observe, but keep your distance. Let them train in peace."The ANBU nodded and disappeared in a blur of motion, leaving Hiruzen alone with his thoughts.

He exhaled slowly, staring out the window at the bustling village below. The council, led by men like Danzo, had always been a thorn in his side when it came to Naruko. Any decisions involving her were met with fierce opposition, and even Hiruzen's status as Hokage didn't always grant him the authority to act as he wished.'But now, things are different.'He thought with a smile. The children had made their own decision, and that left little room for political interference.

The Hokage's smile lingered, knowing that this unorthodox path would benefit both children in ways the village's traditional methods would not. But the peace of the moment was interrupted by a familiar presence. The door creaked open, and Danzo Shimura, the leader of Root, stepped into the room. His single visible eye studied Hiruzen for a moment before he stepped forward, leaning heavily on his cane. The atmosphere in the room shifted, tension immediately rising.

"Hiruzen," Danzo began, his voice low and rasping, "I've heard of the recent development regarding Naruko. She's training under Might Guy now, is she?"Hiruzen didn't respond immediately. He knew where this conversation was going. The two old comrades had long disagreed on matters concerning Naruko, and Danzo had always been vocal about his desire to take her under Root's supervision. Hiruzen's silence only seemed to spur Danzo on.

"This is a mistake," Danzo continued, his tone becoming more forceful. "That girl is the vessel of the Nine-Tails. You know the power she holds within her. Might Guy is a strong shinobi, but he's not equipped to handle someone like Naruko. He's too soft-hearted, too focused on foolish ideals like perseverance and loyalty."Hiruzen's brow furrowed slightly, but he let Danzo speak.

"She should be placed in Root," Danzo pressed, stepping closer to the Hokage's desk. "There, she would learn discipline. She would be taught to control the Nine-Tails' chakra, to become a weapon that could protect the village. Under my guidance, she wouldn't waste her time on frivolous friendships and meaningless exercises."

Hiruzen finally looked up, his expression calm but firm. "You would turn her into a tool, Danzo.""A tool for Konoha," Danzo corrected. "Her power is too dangerous to be left unchecked. If you allow her to grow up without proper control, she will become a liability. You've already seen how the village treats her. They fear her, and rightly so. The Nine-Tails nearly destroyed Konoha once before. Are you willing to take that risk again?"

Hiruzen's gaze hardened. "Naruko is a child of this village. She is not a weapon to be used, no matter how powerful the Nine-Tails is within her. As Hokage, I will not allow her to be treated as anything less than a person." Danzo's visible eye narrowed. "You are too sentimental, Hiruzen. Sentiment has no place when it comes to the safety of the village. Root exists to protect Konoha from threats—both external and internal. Naruko could be the greatest threat we've ever faced, and you're letting her train with a man like Guy?"

"Guy is a capable shinobi and a man of integrity," Hiruzen replied. "He will teach Naruko and Yuto to grow as individuals, not as tools for others' ambitions. And as for the council, they cannot interfere in this matter. The children made the choice on their own to train under him."

Danzo clenched his jaw, his hand tightening on his cane. "You're making a mistake. If she loses control, if she taps into the Nine-Tails' power without proper guidance, you won't be able to stop the destruction that follows."Hiruzen stood up, his presence suddenly filling the room. He moved with the quiet authority of a man who had led the village through wars, tragedies, and countless difficult decisions.

"Danzo," Hiruzen said quietly, but his voice carried the weight of command, "I am Hokage."The room fell silent.Hiruzen's eyes locked with Danzo's. "I will make the decisions concerning Naruko's future. You will not interfere. As long as I am Hokage, she will be treated with the dignity and respect she deserves. She is not yours to control."

Danzo stood frozen for a moment, his gaze hard and unyielding. But there was nothing more to say. Hiruzen had spoken, and the matter was closed—for now."I hope your trust in her does not come back to haunt you, Hiruzen, because you will regret your decision." Danzo said quietly, his voice a mix of warning and frustration.

With that, Danzo turned and walked out of the office, his cane tapping softly against the floor. Hiruzen watched him go, knowing that this would not be the last time Danzo tried to meddle in Naruko's future. But for now, the decision was made. Naruko would continue her training with Guy, and Yuto would remain by her side. The future was uncertain, but Hiruzen believed that Naruko, with the right guidance, would prove everyone wrong.

She was not a monster, nor a tool—she was a child with immense potential, and he would protect her from those who sought to exploit that power. As the door closed behind Danzo, Hiruzen sat back down at his desk, returning to his worst enemy, paperwork.'HOW DID YOU FINISH THIS IN A FLASH,MINATO!!!'He roared in his mind as he looked angrily at the pile of papers.
