Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Capital City
"Hehe, thank you for thinking so highly of me, but I currently have no intention of joining Kirigakure. I still have some things I must do," Su said with a smile.
"Is that so? That's truly a pity." A look of regret and disappointment flashed across Terumi Mei's face. If Su could join Kirigakure, it would be of immense benefit to the village. Not only would it add an incredibly strong combatant, but it would also allow Kirigakure to possess the Uchiha clan's bloodline.
"I respect your decision. If you ever want to find a place to settle down in the future, I hope you'll consider Kirigakure. Our village gates will always be open to you," Terumi Mei said with a solemn expression.
"Thank you, Lord Mizukage… forty-seven1," Su said with a smile.
"Hehe, little handsome, you're quite the sweet-talker. You'll definitely be a good man when you grow up," Terumi Mei chuckled, looking at Su's handsome face.
Hearing Terumi Mei's praise, Su also gave a helpless smile. However, he seemed to think of something and said to Terumi Mei, "I've rested enough now. Deidara and I should be taking our leave."
"You're leaving so soon? Won't you stay and rest a while longer?" Terumi Mei and Ao were startled by Su's words, and Terumi Mei said with some reluctance.
"Thank you, but it's best not to trouble you further. Kirigakure is currently under reconstruction, and I shouldn't be too much of a bother. There must be many people injured in this battle, and I don't want to take up too much of Kirigakure's medical resources. This young lady should go help others," Su said with a smile, looking at the pretty female medical-nin.
Seeing Su's handsome smile, the young woman's face blushed slightly. Terumi Mei sighed and said, "Alright, since you insist on leaving, I won't stop you. But remember what I said, Kirigakure's gates will always be open for you."
"Okay, I'll consider it," Su replied with a faint smile.
Two days later, Su and Deidara left Kirigakure. The two of them walked slowly through a quiet, gloomy forest in the Land of Water. Deidara chattered on, introducing his newly researched art, while Su listened quietly beside him.
Looking at the incredibly blurry road ahead, Su's brows furrowed tightly. "It seems transplanting Father's eyes is imperative. If this continues, I'll go completely blind. Then I'll have no power to take revenge on Konoha!!" Su thought grimly to himself.
Deidara seemed to think of something at that moment and suddenly asked Su, "Su, where are we going next?"
Su paused, pondered for a moment, then looked up and said, "We're going to the capital city of the Land of Water."
"The capital city of the Land of Water? What are we going there for?" Deidara asked, puzzled.
"I have some things to take care of. It's not convenient to discuss them here. I'll tell you when we arrive," Su said faintly.
"You're such a mysterious fellow. I can never guess what you're thinking all day long. Is being cool an art form too?" Deidara shook his head.
"It's something very important to me. In the entire Land of Water, apart from Kirigakure, the capital city is the safest place. Only there can I feel at ease. When the time comes, I'll need you to help me with something," Su said faintly.
A week later, Su and Deidara arrived at the capital city of the Land of Water. As the economic, cultural, and political center of the Land of Water, it was incomparably prosperous. The wide streets bustled with people, shops lined both sides in neat rows, and various delicious snacks were sold along the streets, though most were seafood. Although there was some difference compared to the capital of the Land of Fire, it could be said to be the most prosperous place in the entire Land of Water.
Deidara held a few skewers of squid in one hand and a few skewers of dango2 in the other, eating with great delight. Su also held a delicious grilled fish in his hand. As for the place they were heading to, it was a clinic that was quite famous throughout the capital…
A clinic, as the name suggests, is a place for treating illnesses, but it's for ordinary people. In this world, besides medical-nin, there is also the profession of a doctor. When shinobi are injured in battle, medical-nin treat them, while ordinary people go to clinics to see doctors for illnesses, colds, or even surgeries. This was no different from his previous world.
After Su and Deidara arrived in the capital city of the Land of Water, they made some inquiries and then chose a relatively famous clinic. It was said that the doctor who ran the clinic was once a medical-nin but had retired for unknown reasons and subsequently opened this clinic in the capital of the Land of Water. His reputation and business were quite good.
"What did you say!!! You want an eye transplant!!" Upon hearing Su's words, Deidara almost spat out the dango in his mouth.
"That's right. The light in these eyes is about to reach its end," Su said faintly to Deidara, his cloudy black pupils quietly looking at him.
"The light is reaching its end? What on earth is going on!!?" Deidara frowned, looking at Su in confusion. Su looked at Deidara's expression, sighed slightly, and then told him the secret of the Mangekyo Sharingan. 3.6
"Blindness!! Is this the price for using your dōjutsu?" Deidara gasped.
"So, during the time I'm integrating the new eyes, I'll have to entrust my safety to you. Although the capital of the Land of Water is quite safe, and no one here knows us, just in case, I'll need your help during the period I can't open my eyes," Su said.
Deidara took a deep breath and then slapped his chest, assuring, "Rest assured! Entrusting this to the great Lord Deidara is the most correct choice you'll make in your entire life!!" He then burst into boisterous laughter.
"It's precisely because you're like this that I'm not reassured," Su thought helplessly to himself. ..
