Naruto: Get Stronger by Spoiling My Sister

Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Their Own Agendas

Rumble!

Under Neji's control, the massive slab of earth and stone advanced slowly yet inexorably, crushing everything in its path. It was utterly unstoppable.

Wherever it passed, stone shattered and broken walls crumbled. The sheer weight of the slab was overwhelming like a force meant to flatten everything in its way. Yet in this pitch-black darkness, most people could only hear the thunderous rumble of its descent, unable to clearly see what was happening.

In the crowd, however, a single blood-red eye glowed ominously. In the depths of this darkness, it stood out like a demon's fire.

"Guy, stay behind me. I'll cut through it with Raikiri," Kakashi said quietly, his tone grim. At some point, he had lifted the headband covering his left eye, revealing the Sharingan gifted to him by his dearest friend.

At the same time, his hand began to surge with concentrated chakra, the bluish-white lightning crackling at his fingertips.

Zzzzt!

Electric arcs danced and snapped, releasing flashes of light. In the faint glow of the Raikiri, the crowd could finally make out the scene before them and their expressions shifted in an instant. Shocked, they all instinctively stepped back.

"Should we intervene?" Homura Mitokado asked quietly, turning toward Koharu Utatane.

With their power, it wouldn't be difficult to destroy that slab of stone.

"No. We withdraw. Don't interfere in their fight."

Unexpectedly, Koharu who had just been adamant about stopping this battle now chose to step back, turning her back on both Danzō and Neji. It was a sudden shift.

"Alright," Homura responded calmly. He had expected this change and showed no surprise. With a nod, he left the scene with her.

"Danzō and Hyūga Neji… neither of them is the type to yield easily," Koharu muttered, her gaze cold.

The fact that both of them had so blatantly disregarded her and Homura's presence was no small warning sign.

She glanced sideways at Homura, the movement subtle and smooth. After all these years working together, she knew him well. Despite his outward composure, he was a man who valued power above all. Even if she had insisted on interfering, he would've stopped her.

"That's why… they both need to be reminded of their place," she murmured, eyes flicking toward Neji and Danzō.

If anyone found out what she was thinking in this moment, it would send shockwaves through the entire village.

Even Kakashi, with his Sharingan, could barely make out what lay ahead in this suffocating darkness. Yet Koharu and Homura two senior figures who hadn't lifted a finger this entire time could see everything with perfect clarity. Even from afar, they could clearly perceive Danzō and Neji. This revelation alone would shatter many long-held assumptions.

"That White-Eyed boy… still too young," Koharu whispered. "Trying to obscure Danzō's vision? He must have forgotten Danzō was trained by the same teacher."

"Something like this… Danzō won't even bother wasting chakra on it," Homura murmured in return.

"Once this is over, let's find the right moment to pull that White-Eyed kid out. Talents like him Konoha needs them more than ever."

The village had suffered too much already. As for the Root members who had died? Hmph. Neji's worth alone surpassed them all.

Just then, Might Guy stepped forward and gently pulled Kakashi back, shaking his head.

"You're worried about Neji, aren't you, Guy?" Kakashi looked into his old friend's eyes, then slowly deactivated the Raikiri and stepped back with him.

Better to let Danzō handle this mess.

With the lightning gone, the battlefield was swallowed by darkness once again. Not even a trace of moonlight remained. But the crowd was no longer panicked. One by one, they activated their own illumination jutsu, restoring some sense of order. Still, even with that, they could only see vague silhouettes.

From within the abyss, Danzō's voice rang out, disdainful and sharp.

"Tch. Is this all you've got? Your little tricks are nothing compared to the true methods of our teacher."

As a disciple of Tobirama Senju, Danzō had more than enough ways to deal with attacks in dark environments. In situations like this, conserving chakra and avoiding direct confrontation was often the best choice.

But he couldn't help glancing back toward the door behind him, a shadow of hesitation flickering in his eyes.

"If I dodge, the door will be smashed to pieces. All the disgraceful things I've done my betrayals, my experiments will be laid bare for everyone to see. But if I stay… I'll have to stop that massive slab somehow."

His expression darkened.

"To completely destroy that thing… I'll have to spend a significant amount of chakra."

His eyes narrowed dangerously. "Was that your plan, Neji? No… it seems like coincidence. Still…"

"You really think something like this can stop me? You're far too naïve."

Blood trickled from the corner of Danzō's mouth, but he wiped it away without pause. Then, he began to form seals.

From a distance, Neji observed every movement through his Byakugan. The moment Danzō started weaving hand signs, he moved fast. Chakra scalpel in hand, his eyes locked onto Danzō's right arm.

"Wind Style: Vacuum Great Sphere!"

Danzō's cheeks puffed as he expelled a massive, high-pressure wind bullet.

The instant it was released, the recoil nearly pushed his body backward. Dust and fragments of stone were swept up, carried forward by the devastating wind projectile.

Boom!

The wind bullet struck the giant slab. The resulting explosion sent shockwaves outward in all directions. Debris and air pressure surged like ripples in a pond, forcing the crowd to stagger back and squint against the blast. Stone shards were flung out like cannonballs.

Thud! Thud!

Several crashes echoed through the field as people who failed to defend themselves were struck and thrown aside.

"So this is the power of a Kage-level shinobi… incredible," one jōnin muttered in awe.

The display was overwhelming. Most of the weaker shinobi had already been sent away earlier, but even those who remained elite chūnin and above were deeply shaken.

This was power on another level. Their own abilities felt laughable in comparison. They couldn't even get close, let alone help. Just surviving the aftermath of this battle required every ounce of their strength and focus.

Suddenly, the darkness lifted.

Moonlight spilled down through the broken ceiling, casting a silver glow over everything. It wasn't dawn but the contrast made it blinding.

And that light revealed a single truth

The wind bullet had torn through the stone slab like a ravenous beast, ripping and devouring as it went. With a thunderous crack, the giant slab shattered completely, reduced to dust under the lingering force of the jutsu. Bit by bit, it crumbled into fine powder and vanished without a trace.
