Naruto: Getting Observation Haki By Sacrificing The Byakugan

Chapter 192: CHAPTER 192

When Tsunade and Shizune arrived, they immediately spotted them.

"Lady Tsunade, Aoba-sama and the others are watching us," Shizune whispered into Tsunade's ear.

"They have eyes; they can look wherever they want. Let's go. Ignore them. This time, I'm definitely going to recoup my losses."

Tsunade walked past them confidently. Aoba, Kurenai Yuhi, and the others remained still.

The expressions of Itachi Uchiha and the others were slightly tense, but it didn't matter. Although Tsunade noticed them, she didn't care. Or rather, she didn't believe anything bad would happen to her.

However, just as Tsunade passed them—completely exposing her back—a sudden gust of wind swept in.

Tsunade tried to turn or dodge, but it was already too late.

Thud.

A precise chop struck the back of her neck, and she collapsed, unconscious.

"Knock her out and carry her away. See? Completing a mission can be this simple," Kawaki Aoba said casually.

"Lady Tsunade!" Shizune gasped, eyes wide in horror as she turned to Aoba.

"Aoba-sama, what are you doing?!"

"Oh? Another one? Sorry—I forgot about you." Aoba smiled apologetically, then reached out and knocked her out the same way.

Shizune tried to resist, but it was futile.

Only Tonton, the little pig, remained. Aoba glanced at it and then looked away, uninterested.

"The rest is simple. Just carry these two back to the village. There should be drugs that suppress chakra, right? Anyway, don't let them wake up before we get back.

Once we return, we can just fabricate a story—say she was knocked out and kidnapped by bandits, and you guys rescued her. That should work."

"Oh... did Shizune see my face just now? Do we have anything that can temporarily erase memory?" Aoba asked offhandedly.

"Ahem, Aoba-sama, I don't think that's necessary," Itachi Uchiha said cautiously, wiping cold sweat from his brow. "Besides, Shizune is just a medical-nin. We could just claim she was caught in a genjutsu."

Aoba's eyes lit up. He clapped Itachi on the shoulder. "Young man, you have a bright future. I have high hopes for you."

Though being praised by Aoba-sama should be an honor... if it's in this way, I could do without it, Itachi thought bitterly, forcing a smile.

Thanks to Itachi's suggestion, Aoba didn't tamper with Shizune's memory. However, he wasn't nearly as polite to the surrounding bystanders.

He released a wave of killing intent and threw out a few harsh threats, enough to terrify the onlookers into silence.

After all, this was a public street in broad daylight. Kidnapping someone here would leave a terrible impression. Aoba needed to create the illusion of secrecy—even if it was shallow.

After forcing Team Kurenai to back off, Kawaki Aoba turned his attention to more pressing matters—the Zero-Tails and Shinnō.

He recalled it was from a film: a man named Shinnō tried to resurrect the Zero-Tails to power something called the Sky Fortress.

He couldn't remember all the details, but the Sky Fortress could fly, which was practically black tech in the shinobi world. Few jutsu enabled sustained flight, and even fewer allowed an entire fortress to fly.

The Zero-Tails was an artificial tailed-beast-like creature, formed from negative chakra. While its combat strength was debatable, its sheer chakra reserve made it noteworthy.

Kawaki Aoba wasn't interested in the creature itself—but in the technology behind it.

"If it was artificially created, it can be replicated," he muttered to himself. "That technology could boost Konoha's research and combat capabilities immensely."

His perspective had shifted. He now thought like a leader. Strategic advancement took priority over brute force.

Besides, Shinnō himself supposedly possessed a secret technique that synergized with the Eight Gates—one that minimized the damage of opening the final Gate, the Gate of Death. Rumors claimed it allowed survival even after its activation.

That kind of technique was bugged. Naturally, Aoba wanted it.

He had already extracted information through interrogation, locating the last known clash between Shinnō and a group of Cloud-nin. Heading toward that battlefield in the outskirts, he found nothing. No clues. No trace.

Not surprising. Shinnō was no fool—he wouldn't return to the scene of a skirmish.

Still, the nearby town had reported Cloud shinobi activity. That meant Shinnō couldn't be far.

Aoba activated his Kenbunshoku Haki, focusing on detecting every chakra signature stronger than average within range.

Shinnō had hidden as a traveling doctor for years, which meant he was an expert in concealment. But someone who'd built a reputation across the Five Great Nations had to have considerable power.

So Aoba searched for any suspiciously strong individuals.

Despite his confidence, the effort was futile. He couldn't sense even a trace of Shinnō.

Aoba trusted his maxed-out Haki. If he couldn't detect Shinnō, it meant the man was outside his range.

He realized now—he had underestimated Shinnō.

Anyone capable of escaping the Fourth Raikage and a platoon of elite Cloud-nin likely paid a steep price. But if Shinnō managed it without consequence...

Then Aoba needed to accelerate his plan.

Releasing his senses and expanding his Observation Haki to the maximum, Aoba searched again and again across the landscape until he finally located his target.

Shinno was already at the outer limits of what Kawaki Aoba's Observation Haki could perceive. Ever since Aoba's power had surged, the range of his Haki had increased drastically—yet even with that, it took great effort to lock onto Shinno's position.

It was evident: after his skirmish with the Fourth Raikage, Shinno had been constantly on the move, fleeing without pause. The fact that he still had this much stamina proved to Kawaki Aoba that the man couldn't be seriously injured.

Sensing that Shinno was about to slip out of his range, Aoba didn't hesitate—he activated his space-time ninjutsu and instantly teleported to his location.

On the other side, nestled near the slopes of an isolated mountain range, the physician Shinno was preparing to take a rest. Just a day earlier, he had battled the Fourth Raikage, A, and his elite unit. The Raikage's reputation for overwhelming strength was no exaggeration.

Despite unleashing his hidden techniques—including the dark chakra of the Zero-Tails—Shinno had failed to overpower the Raikage, and had suffered internal injuries. If not for his advanced flesh activation jutsu, which rapidly repaired cells and organs, he'd likely be recuperating in a ravine in the Land of Grass.

But these were minor setbacks. What truly troubled him was how news of the Zero-Tails had leaked. The Cloud Village had clearly learned of it—did the other great villages know too?

A secret that more than two people know… is no longer a secret.

He decided to return to the Sky Fortress to lay low. The girl Amaru, whom he had taken an interest in, would one day serve as a vessel for the Zero-Tails. Once construction of the Sky Fortress was completed and his Sky Ninja were reborn, he would exact his revenge.

Not only on Konoha—the village that had destroyed the original Sky Country in the last Shinobi War—but on all five great nations. No village would be spared.

His ambition was grand. Whether or not it could be realized, at least Shinno had the determination to act on it.

A figure suddenly appeared beside him, rippling into view through a space-time distortion.

"Who's there?!" Shinno snapped, instantly activating his enhanced cellular technique. His body surged with power as he prepared for combat.

It was obvious—this man hadn't appeared here by accident. He had come for Shinno.

A shinobi from the Cloud Village, perhaps?

But no—when he got a clearer look, Shinno was stunned. This man wasn't wearing any recognizable village attire. Yet something about his presence… his chakra… it was overwhelming.

"You're Shinno, right?" the figure spoke. "I don't like that name. I'll give you a choice: prove your value to me. If you succeed, I'll let you join Konoha and spare your life. What do you say?"

If that tone could be called a generous offer, then mercy had a new definition.

Kawaki Aoba had said it intentionally, of course. Shinno had already lost the right to expect kindness. That Aoba hadn't struck him down immediately was already a rare tolerance.

But Shinno's reaction wasn't what Aoba had hoped for.

At the mention of Konoha, Shinno's rage boiled over. It was the Hidden Leaf that had razed his village during the Second Great Ninja War. And now a Konoha ninja was standing in front of him, making demands?

But… as he stared at Aoba's face, something stirred in his memory.

No way... isn't this... the God of the Ninja World?

Question: A man with god-like power stands before you. He clearly means business. What do you do? Waiting online, it's urgent.

Shinno had immense faith in his power, but not enough to believe he could rival a living god.

Frozen, Shinno didn't move.

Kawaki Aoba could read everything from his silence. It was always the same with these so-called ambitious men. Prideful, but ultimately driven by fear.

"It seems you didn't take my words seriously," Aoba said coldly. "That's unfortunate."

He raised his hand.

Shinra Tensei.

It wasn't even full power—but even a flicker of Kawaki Aoba's strength distorted the very air. A shockwave slammed into Shinno, hurling him across the earth like a ragdoll. Bones cracked. Internal organs trembled.

If there had been any structure behind him, he would've been flattened into paste.

Coughing blood, Shinno dug into his robe and swallowed a fistful of recovery pills. His advanced flesh activation jutsu kicked in, mending his ribs and stabilizing his vitals.

"Hmph," Aoba scoffed. "Flesh activation… impressive. Instant regeneration of internal organs and bones. You truly are a talent. But I heard you had something even stronger inside you."

Zero-Tails.

Dark chakra.

"You don't want to show it?" Aoba sneered. "Let me help you, then."

In Shinno's eyes, Kawaki Aoba was no longer human. A fist glowing with divine blue chakra surged forward.

The sky went dark.

His instincts screamed.

And in that moment… all of Shinno's grand ambitions felt like a child's daydream.
