Kimimaro's left arm transformed into a sharp, spear-like spike, wrapped in the tendrils of the Dance of the Clematis: Vine. In an instant, the bone spear was already mere meters away from Kai.

Although Kai wasn't using the Kagura Mind's Eye, his powerful spiritual awareness quickly detected a subtle shift in several ice mirrors to his front-left.

In a flash, one of the ice mirrors shattered as Kimimaro emerged, his bone spear thrusting fiercely toward Kai.

The sharp bone spear struck Kai's body. However, instead of flesh, it pierced through a puff of smoke and a pile of shattered wood. At the last moment, Kai had used the Substitution Jutsu to evade Kimimaro's attack.

Ice Release Secret Technique: Demonic Mirroring Ice Assassination!

Haku's figure vanished from the training ground, reappearing within one of the ice mirrors. From within the mirrors, Haku launched a relentless assault, hurling ice senbon, ice kunai, and various other ice-crafted weapons at Kai.

However, Kai's mastery of projectile weaponry, acquired during his first lottery draw, allowed him to effortlessly predict the trajectory of Haku's attacks. With swift and precise movements, he dodged them all.

Standing nearby, Itachi Uchiha widened his eyes, watching Haku and Kimimaro battle Kai.

Itachi hadn't expected that the silver-haired boy, who appeared to be around his own age, would possess such formidable strength. The silver-haired youth's abilities rivaled those of a Jonin, while the delicate-looking boy beside him was equally strong. Combined with his Ice Release Kekkei Genkai, he was undoubtedly superior to Itachi in his current state.

Having graduated from the Ninja Academy at the age of seven, Itachi had always harbored a certain pride. Yet, that pride was now utterly shattered by the overwhelming prowess of Haku and Kimimaro.

Turning his gaze toward Kai, Itachi's eyes burned with determination. He firmly believed that, with his talent and Kai's guidance, he would one day match or even surpass the two before him.

Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique!

Itachi Uchiha launched his own offensive against Kai, unleashing a series of fireballs resembling the seeds of a phoenix flower. The flames erupted from Itachi's mouth, spreading out in all directions under his chakra control, converging on Kai from every angle.

The training ground, already filled with countless ice mirrors created by Haku, was instantly enveloped in a dense mist as the Phoenix Sage Fire Technique's intense heat caused the ice to vaporize.

"Abandoning the Great Fireball Technique in favor of the Phoenix Sage Fire Technique, adapting his ninjutsu to the environment on the fly—truly worthy of Itachi Uchiha," Kai mused as he observed the attack.

Although the mist obscured his vision, Kai could still sense the heat radiating from the Phoenix Sage Fire Technique.

Water Release: Water Formation Wall!

A cylindrical wall of water rose, intercepting the Phoenix Sage Fire Technique. The collision produced a sharp hissing sound as steam filled the air. However, to Kai's surprise, a few shuriken suddenly pierced through the water wall, flying straight toward him.

Phoenix Flower Claw Crimson!

A combination of the Phoenix Sage Fire Technique and concealed shuriken, this attack hid the shuriken within the flames, catching opponents off guard.

"Though his raw strength is slightly inferior to Haku, his understanding and application of ninjutsu are undoubtedly at a Jonin level," Kai thought, his gaze toward Itachi growing increasingly satisfied.

Meanwhile, Haku and Kimimaro's assaults showed no signs of relenting.

Ice Release Secret Technique: Exploding Ice Crystals!

All the ice mirrors scattered across the training ground shattered simultaneously, sending countless sharp ice shards hurtling toward Kai.

Shikotsumyaku: Dance of the Seedling Fern!

Countless sharp bone spikes erupted from the ground, some reaching tens of meters high, covering the entire training ground. The Dance of the Seedling Fern could be considered a simplified version of the Dance of the Early Fern. Although its range was smaller, the power of the bone spikes remained undiminished.

With exploding ice shards raining down from above, interspersed with hidden shuriken, and the ground bristling with sharp bone spikes, Kai couldn't help but let out a wry smile.
