"In that case, Kirigakure would fall into chaos, giving Konoha an opportunity to invade..."

"Isn't that your plan?" Terumi Mei smirked. "Either way, I won't let you meet Yagura-sama."

"You should already know what happened to my clan," Sasuke replied.

"No," Sasuke shook his head. "Yagura was controlled around ten years ago. At that time, Itachi was just a child."

Then, suddenly—

She leaned in and lightly kissed his cheek.

Sasuke was momentarily stunned.

Ao's eyes widened in shock.

A storm of thoughts rushed through his mind. If this was true, it would explain so much—Yagura's drastic personality shift, the brutal reestablishment of the Blood Mist, and the elimination of his own loyal supporters.

"But if this is true… what do we do?" Ao asked grimly.

Terumi Mei took a deep breath. "We need to discuss this with the elders first. I already have a rough plan."

"We have to lure Mizukage-sama out of the village. If he loses control, Three Tails could endanger everyone here."

Ao nodded, still processing the weight of the situation.

At the entrance, two Anbu guards stood in their way.

"Halt! Terumi Mei-sama, who is this?" one of them asked, narrowing his eyes at Sasuke.

"Oh, we've come to report on Zabuza's body," Terumi Mei replied casually.

"This young ninja was the one who found it."

"Zabuza?"

The two Anbu exchanged glances.

Before they could respond, a calm yet eerie voice echoed from inside the building.

"Let them in."

It was Yagura.

Sasuke followed them inside.

At a glance, he immediately noticed the small figure seated in the shadows of the room.

"There he is."

Yagura Karatachi—the Fourth Mizukage.

Despite his youthful appearance, he radiated an oppressive presence.

"Terumi Mei. Ao. What do you have to report?" Yagura asked, his tone unreadable.

Sasuke narrowed his eyes. His powerful mental energy spread outward, analyzing every detail.

Then, he saw it.

Yagura's eyes were dull, emotionless—like a lifeless puppet.

And within him…

There was another presence. A dark, sinister chakra that didn't belong to him.

"As I thought. He's being controlled."

Sasuke's gaze flickered toward Terumi Mei.

She met his eyes.
