Naruto: I am Uchiha Shirou

Chapter 10: Naruto: I Am Uchiha Shirou [10]

In Konoha, in front of Nawaki's gravestone:

"Shirou!"

As Tsunade frowned, she noticed black, flame-like curse marks spreading across Shirou's neck. His entire body trembled, and as he forcefully activated the curse seal's Sage Body, a wave of overwhelming negative emotions surged through him. His eyes turned bloodshot, and an intense killing intent grew deep within him.

"This isn't good!"

At that moment, Tsunade realized something was seriously wrong. This guy had awakened some kind of power, but it wasn't the Sharingan.

Shirou groaned in pain, his face twisted in agony. Seeing Tsunade in front of him, he gritted his teeth and fully unleashed the curse seal's Sage Body, removing its restraint on his body.

He had finally caught this chance, and the woman before him was the greatest medical-nin in the entire shinobi world.

As a shinobi, one must be ruthless with oneself!

"This is bad, what is this!?"

With her medical skills, Tsunade quickly assessed Shirou's internal condition and was shocked.

"He's awakened some kind of power inside him, causing his body to suffer backlash. But isn't this guy a Uchiha?"

The power he had awakened wasn't the Sharingan, but some other force. Something was wrong.

"Cap... Captain Tsunade, I request to be sent to the battlefield!"

Shirou gritted his teeth, enduring the pain as he spoke hoarsely. Veins bulged on his forehead and neck, and the backlash, along with the flood of negative emotions, overwhelmed him.

Under Tsunade's shocked gaze, Shirou's bloodshot eyes slowly revealed a single black tomoe. The Sharingan had awakened! Was it the incident with Nawaki, or the tension between the village and the clan that triggered this?

"Keep quiet!"

Tsunade snorted coldly, grabbed him, and disappeared from the memorial stone.

...

At the Senju clan:

When Shirou opened his eyes again, he found himself in a room filled with medical equipment.

An IV was hooked into his hand, and as he heard the faint drip of the fluid, he tried to speak but was immediately overcome by sharp pain.

"Where am I?"

Shirou's face twisted in agony, his entire body feeling as if every cell were being pierced with needles.

"It seems you're not dead yet."

Tsunade, who had been reviewing scrolls at a desk, raised her head.

"What… what happened to me?"

Shirou feigned confusion, but Tsunade just snorted.

"You're lucky. You've awakened two kinds of Kekkei Genkai."

Awakening two Kekkei Genkai! While an average shinobi might consider this a fantasy, with Tsunade's vast knowledge of the shinobi world, she knew it was rare but not impossible.

"Kekkei Genkai?"

Shirou's face showed a complex expression as if he had realized something.

Seeing this, Tsunade grew even more irritated.

This guy was truly obsessive, awakening two Kekkei Genkai from emotional shock. And for what? Her brother was the one who had died(fake), and even she hadn't awakened a Kekkei Genkai, yet this outsider did.

Typical Uchiha!

"That's right. You should know that in every Kekkei Genkai clan, there are rare cases of rejection, known as Kekkei Genkai diseases. The Uchiha clan has these as well."

"Kekkei Genkai disease typically happens due to overuse or excessive strain on the body from these powers, causing irreversible damage over time. There's also a congenital form, where the body cannot adapt to the power."

Tsunade explained in technical terms, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. After all, for a medical-nin, cases like this were precious research materials.

"And you have some kind of brain issue, simultaneously awakening two types of Kekkei Genkai, which has caused your body to reject them."

As she spoke, Tsunade glanced at Shirou's IV and snorted.

"In the entire shinobi world, only a handful of people are capable of concocting this kind of cellular stabilizing medicine. Each bottle is worth a fortune."

Tsunade's voice echoed in the room, while Sjirou weakly reached out as if trying to pull out the IV.

"What are you doing?!"

"I... I don't have that kind of money!"

Shirou's weak response, though about not having money, carried a hidden resolve in his eyes, which Tsunade noticed immediately. This guy still hadn't given up on going to the battlefield to die.

For a moment, Tsunade had a headache. Shirou had ended up like this partly because of her.

"Do you have a death wish?"

Tsunade's cold voice echoed, and Shirou went silent, not answering.

Seeing his expression, Tsunade felt speechless. The Uchiha's obsession was giving her a headache.

Her brother had died, yet it had triggered this outsider's Sharingan awakening. Now she had to figure out how to stop Shirou from killing himself.

Shinobi might lie, but the Uchiha's Sharingan never lied.

"Nawaki's situation ends here. I need you to remain with the Uchiha clan."

Tsunade's cold voice seemed to spark a glimmer of hope in Shirou's deadened eyes. He slowly lifted his head, looking at Tsunade with a glimmer of expectation, his voice hoarse as he spoke:

"Captain Tsunade, are you saying you want me to investigate the traitors within the Uchiha clan?"

His blood-red, single-tomoe Sharingan stared directly at her. Only by facing the Uchiha directly could one understand just how extreme their obsession was.

Tsunade felt speechless. This guy was jumping to conclusions. But then again, maybe this was for the best. After all, she did need a pair of eyes inside the Uchiha clan, at least to stay informed.

Looking at Tsunade, who remained silent, Shirou seemed to fill in the gaps himself. His face showed a look of obsessive determination.

"For Konoha! Don't worry, Captain Tsunade, I will not allow anyone to betray the village!"

There it was. Tsunade sighed deeply in her heart. She finally understood what the clan records meant by the obsessive Uchiha.

The obsessive Uchiha!

Shirou's determined expression was clear, but as he glanced at the IV, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He had finally latched onto a powerful figure. This genetic stabilizing medicine was incredibly valuable. Fortunately, everything had gone smoothly.

As long as Tsunade was around, he was confident he could fully integrate this Kekkei Genkai within the next five or six years.

"Lie down. I need to study this other Kekkei Genkai of yours."

Tsunade's cold voice sounded as if she had accepted his role as her personal spy.

Shirou, without saying a word, lay back down on the hospital bed, but inside, he breathed a sigh of relief.

This time, his gamble had paid off.

Not only had he secured Tsunade's support, but he had also awakened his Sharingan.

As expected, he wasn't lacking in talent. He had the potential to awaken the Sharingan, and it happened at a critical moment, under the influence of the curse seal's negative emotions.

Even if this gamble had failed, he still had Mikoto as a backup plan.

"Your Kekkei Genkai rejection is severe. If you misuse it, you won't live for more than a few years."

Tsunade calmly said as she inspected Shirou's body, her brow furrowed. Shirou, however, remained silent, seemingly still wrapped up in the event of Nawaki's death.

Seeing this, Tsunade felt even more troubled. Reasoning with an Uchiha was impossible.

"This unknown Kekkei Genkai is lying dormant inside you, but due to the rejection, your body's self-defense mechanism is causing it to manifest as a curse mark on your neck..."

Tsunade shifted the topic, explaining Shirous unknown Kekkei Genkai. As she spoke, a deep desire to explore filled her eyes.

Researching Kekkei Genkai!

The shinobi world had never stopped its pursuit of this, and as the greatest medical-nin in the world, Tsunade couldn't help but feel excited at the prospect of studying this unknown subject.
