Naruto: I Became Sakura and Accidentally Got a Nuke

Chapter 29: Chapter 29

"To sum up, from now on, Elder Fugaku must ensure that all Uchiha ninja switch to Konoha-style clothing and smile more when interacting with others. Non-ninja members of the Uchiha clan should also take the initiative to engage with Konoha villagers. Once people get used to seeing Uchiha among them in daily life, other clans can gradually be integrated into the Konoha Military Police Force. This will help the villagers understand that the police force does not represent the entirety of the Uchiha. In this way, relations between Konoha and the Uchiha can slowly improve—but this method is only temporary."

Sakura picked up her teacup and took a sip of hot tea. She'd talked so much her throat was nearly dry.

"That simple?" Fugaku Uchiha frowned slightly. Just changing clothes and smiling more was enough?

"What else? The reason villagers have a bad attitude toward the Uchiha is simply due to misunderstanding. The Uchiha act like shut-ins, never socializing with others. And because of their role in the Military Police, rumors inevitably arise, creating misunderstandings!"

Sakura rolled her eyes. The Uchiha really took "aloof" to another level. Take Ichiraku Ramen Shop as an example—it's wildly popular in Konoha, and nearly every clan in the village has dined there at some point, yet not once has anyone seen an Uchiha walk through its doors. You'd barely spot an Uchiha out strolling the streets at all.

"The Uchiha are kind-hearted, but their fatal flaw lies in how poor they are at expressing themselves. They might want nothing more than to hover over someone and ask if they're warm or cold, yet they still insist on acting cold and pretending to be aloof. If you don't speak out actively, how would anyone know your true intentions? If you just try showing off your warm and friendly side more often, people'll eventually get what the Uchiha are really like—and things'll get better on their own. Besides, all Uchiha are stunningly good-looking—their looks aren't an issue at all. Just smile more, and you'll definitely capture many villagers' hearts!"

Fugaku Uchiha twitched his lips. It sounded like she was suggesting the Uchiha should start smiling just to win favor!

Chapter Twenty-Five: The Key to Resolving the Problem [Lower]

"What about the second method?" Fugaku Uchiha asked.

"To completely mend the relationship between Konoha and the Uchiha clan," Sakura said, "you must identify the root cause of the conflict! Even if you do everything perfectly, there'll still be someone pulling strings from the shadows!"

"Danzo Shimura." Naturally, Fugaku knew Danzo well—a man who had never looked kindly upon the Uchiha. Unfortunately, Danzo was a member of the Elder Council of Konoha and a childhood classmate of the Third Hokage. Additionally, he controlled Root, making it impossible for Fugaku to do anything against him.

"Precisely. Danzo is a deeply conflicted individual. He believes he's fulfilling the Second Hokage's legacy and insists that everything he does is for Konoha's benefit. But in reality, he's just brainwashing himself!"

How should one describe Danzo? Nine out of ten Naruto fans despise him—and with solid reasons. Nearly everything he has done generates hatred. Whether it was Shisui Uchiha's death, forcing Itachi Uchiha to massacre his own clan, or conspiring with Hanzo and Sansho'o to kill Yahiko back in Amegakure, each action Danzo has taken has resulted in countless tragedies.

Someone once said that if you come across a tragic event in the world of shinobi and can't determine who caused it, then there's no doubt – it was Danzo's doing. His title as the "scapegoat king of Konoha" didn't come from nowhere.

Although Danzo committed countless wrongdoings, he never believed himself to be in error. Instead, he firmly thought everything he did was for Konoha's benefit. In essence, this kind of person is typical – they deceive themselves so often with their own lies that eventually they start believing them.

"I don't really understand why he hates the Uchiha clan so much either," Sakura said while sipping some hot tea, "but one thing's certain – as long as Danzo lives, the Uchiha clan will have no peace! So if we want to completely resolve the awkward relationship between the Uchiha and Konoha, whether Danzo lives or dies will be crucial!"

"But Danzo is a Konoha elder; eliminating him won't be simple at all!" Fugaku Uchiha certainly wanted to get rid of Danzo, the man constantly causing trouble from behind the scenes. However, as Danzo was not only an elder but also a longtime classmate of the Third Hokage, under the protection of the Third, no one could touch him. Otherwise, given all the things Danzo had done, he would've already been torn apart by his enemies long ago.

"I naturally understand that point. And besides needing the right timing to eliminate Danzo, we must also maintain the moral high ground!" Sakura continued calmly. "We must make everyone believe that the Uchiha are the oppressed side here, forced into resistance because of Danzo's persecution. Once we secure this perception, after killing Danzo we can shape public opinion by exposing all his past misdeeds. I believe few villagers in Konoha will feel sympathy for him then."

"We've gathered plenty of damaging information on Danzo that we can use whenever needed. But the key issue remains finding the appropriate moment to strike."

Fugaku Uchiha frowned. Danzo himself was no weakling, and he practically lived hidden away in Root's headquarters. Killing him wouldn't be easy.

"Exactly when to take him out can be discussed later. Right now, what matters most are the initial steps before implementing our plan to kill Danzo!" Sakura raised her index finger and wagged it slightly as she spoke. "First, all Uchiha clan members should follow my previous advice to ease relations with Konoha villagers, trying to change most people's opinions about us. Second, we wait!"

"Waiting for Danzo to take the first move against the Uchiha?" Fugaku wasn't stupid. Naturally, he understood Sakura's meaning immediately. Once Danzo makes the first move, the Uchiha can position themselves as the innocent ones responding to an attack. After that, any retaliation from the 'oppressed' Uchiha would seem justified, drawing little criticism.

"Precisely! With Danzo's personality, this sudden transformation of the Uchiha will surely set off alarm bells in his mind. From what I know, limiting Uchiha development has never truly been Danzo's main objective – his ultimate desire has always been complete extermination of the Uchiha clan!"

Sakura's words left Fugaku Uchiha silent. To tell the truth, he still found it somewhat difficult to believe. Even the Second Hokage, who had strongly distrusted the Uchiha clan, had never entertained thoughts about fully wiping out the clan.
