Naruto : I Can Evolve My Gene Infinitely

Chapter 23: Uchiha Order of Light

Konohagakure.

Within the Uchiha compound.

Deep underground, in the shadows of a hidden base.

A month had passed since Shisui underwent the transformation of his Mangekyō Sharingan. In that time, he had steadily adapted to the eye's changes—growing more fluent with its power, molding it into an extension of his will.

Tonight, a table stood before him, heavy with ingredients and a pot of simmering broth. A farewell meal… or perhaps, the beginning of something new. This wasn't just a dinner—it was the closing chapter of one phase of his life, and the quiet ignition of another.

Across the table, Rin stood with something more than food in his hands: a contract.

"Starting today, the Uchiha Order of Light is officially established," Rin declared, voice solemn. "I will be its first leader. Shisui… will you join me?"

This was no spontaneous creation. Rin had long envisioned this organization—a force meant to lead the Uchiha into rebirth. A vanguard of enlightenment, of progress. A counterweight to the decay within the clan.

Only those aligned with this revolutionary ideal would be welcomed. Shisui would be the first. And Rin held no doubts about his loyalty. Even in betrayal, he could activate the failsafe embedded in the biochip. The Blood Shadow gene within Shisui's body would collapse his very DNA at Rin's command. His existence—erased from blood to soul.

"I swear it!"

Shisui stood instantly. Without hesitation, he bowed low and accepted the scroll, slicing his thumb open and pressing it to the paper.

"With the power of our bloodline, I vow to protect the light of the Uchiha! Loyalty. Unity. Revival!"

"For the future of the clan, I offer my heart!"

He slammed his fist against his chest, reciting the oath word for word, solemn gaze fixed on the contract.

Rin smiled faintly.

"Such formality. Don't be so stiff. When we're alone, drop the honorifics. Just call me by my code name—Vanguard."

The codename represented his mission. The light represented the clan's future. He would be the Uchiha's evolutionary spark. All for progress. All for the Ascension of Blood and Flesh.

At the moment, the Order of Light consisted of just two people: one leader, one follower. No need for secrecy—just purpose.

"For the future of the Uchiha… cheers."

Rin raised a glass of warmed sake and offered one to Shisui.

"Light and Vanguard…?" Shisui murmured, unsure, but smiling as he mirrored the gesture. "Cheers!"

Walking behind Rin meant walking toward the light. Over the past weeks, through experiments and adaptation, he had come to understand his own body. With Rin's guidance, he had awakened the power of blood. His strength had surged.

In base form, he hovered at the level of a mid-level chunin, nearing jōnin strength. With the Sharingan, most jōnin stood no chance. With the Mangekyō? He could annihilate them.

Even if his opponent was Orochimaru—he wouldn't flinch.

That was the confidence born of his eyes.

"Try the lamb."

Rin swirled a slice in the bubbling broth and dropped it into Shisui's bowl.

"Delicious!" Shisui's eyes lit up as he followed Rin's dipping technique, then devoured the bite. The flavor exploded across his senses, a warm euphoria washing over him.

"Tastes like victory, doesn't it?" Rin grinned. "Eat more. Good food helps purge the lingering side effects of the stimulant."

The stimulant's remnants couldn't be fully cleansed by medical ninjutsu. A tiny portion always remained, buried deep, craving the unnatural highs it once knew.

Pleasure—true, natural joy—was the only antidote.

"Keep your spirit up. Do what makes you feel alive. Don't bury your emotions."

Shisui nodded, shoveling meat and vegetables with renewed appetite.

Dinner passed quickly. Shisui, ever the disciplined one, cleaned up after himself, straightening the room until it was spotless.

Then he turned back to Rin, eager.

"What's the next mission?"

Rin didn't hesitate.

"If we want to revive the Uchiha, we can't do it alone. We're too few. Too weak, for now. But we can find others—those who think like us."

"Return to the clan," Rin ordered. "Go to Elder Uchiha Setsuna. Tell him you want to surrender. Claim the ambush incident was all my doing. The village will drop your bounty. Then, rejoin the Konoha Military Police Force."

"There, you'll form a covert group. Handpick loyal members. Train them. Shape them."

"Name the group whatever you like. Just remember—Uchiha doesn't need the world's approval. Anyone who slanders, envies, or resents us is our enemy."

"You'll lead our dagger in the dark. Your job will be simple—hunt those who would harm the Uchiha."

It was more than a mission. It was part of Rin's wider research.

The secrets of the Izanagi were close to being unraveled. Once he truly grasped its power to alter reality, he needed a proving ground. Shisui's shadow organization would become the perfect vessel.

Every member would be a carefully groomed subject. Every evolution… would feed back into Rin.

"I understand."

Shisui nodded without hesitation.

"I already have a candidate you can approach first," Rin added. "Uchiha Obito. Do you know him?"

Obito… Rin smiled faintly. The boy hadn't yet suffered his fate at Kannabi Bridge. Right now, he was little more than a footnote—a meek, forgettable pigeon among hawks.

Overlooked. Undervalued. Beaten down by his own kin.

But in that broken shell, Rin sensed potential.
